I have a traditional IRA at one financial institution that I'm going to transfer to another institution. I have to decide if I want it to remain a traditional IRA or convert it to a Roth IRA.
I'm an early 30s wagecuck college student now but in about 2 years I'll have a salary in the $45-50K range until retirement.

Which is better for me? Traditional or Roth IRA?
(Presently my traditional IRA has <$1500 in it)

>whats that? you want me to give you my money right now? youre saying if I do that you will give me MORE money in 30 years? sounds great! youre not going to change or anything right? no revolutions or hyperinflation? ok then i trust you.
>>

The choice between the two is whether you'll be making more money now or not.

Think about this.

>part time wagecuck now
>salary starting 2 years from now, for 40 years onward

so...Roth?

>not having a stash of jew gold
>>
at a salary that shitty your taxes are already low so roth
>>
that said you shouldn't convert the ira just open a new roth and keep both
>>
>>1715351
What's a better investment for the money in my IRA right now?
>>
if you have a traditional and roth ira can you only contributte 5500 total? or are they completely separate? also something about backdoor contributions to roth ira? asking cause i have a bit of change, no ira and want to go over 5500
>>
>>1715380
literally a stash of jew gold in your backyard will outperform your IRA even after tax and employer contributions. I am completely serious
>>
>>1715381
its 5500 total

Show us the data.

Nearly a hundred years of market data shows otherwise.

Ignore this dwarf OP. Metals are garbage tier investments.
>>
So don't IRA and don't precious metal.
What is left?

Massive central bank bail ins won't care which direction you go.

Man I see this chart a lot and get really upset
>I'm way at the bottom
>don't want to retire early
>don't have immediate goals
and I'd get zero sympathy from the redditors that made this
>>

Roth IRA dumbass.

If you think you won't be at a higher tax bracket by the time you pull the money out you should just shoot ur fucking self now.
