I've come to realize that the freedom money provides is actually an impossible deed. The less you have the more dependent you are of the sistem, but as you start to earn more and more you develop a dependency on yourself to not lose it. Government, companies ,people and taxes will suck you dry,and if you are able to prevent it,you'll find yourself 80% of your days thinking of how to retain/expand your wealth. Am I wrong? If not,is there a solution to this mundane but essential life problem? Pls help

mo money, mo problems

Unless you're willing to go full hermit mode, you'll never truly be free.

But even if you're a hermit, you'll find that not having access to police, hospitals, clean water and survival skills will put you up shit creek with no paddle.

And you'll have no social life either.

What about the problems of keeping that money from being stolen as I said

If you truly have any large sum of wealth there are ways to shield yourself from financial rape. Worry about how to keep the money after you've made the money.

I see you criticizing socialism and the progressive income tax, but I don't understand what your question is?

Don't be materialistic. Realize that the more you own, the more you're owned. Use your money for experiences and making memories with loved ones. Don't buy useless crap and don't be suckered into scams. You'll be much happier that way.

You got it all wrong. I don't want money for the assets it can give me,I like money because it is power to never be bothered again,by anyone. I dont care if I live in a one room apartment, but I want to do it because I say so,not because it is imposed on me. The materialistic part is having to worry about keeping it all the time

It's like this.

More money, more power. But more money, more responsibility.

Having money is better than not having money, but many people don't realize the responsibility money brings:

> more complex tax filings
> need to watch the money, bank it right, be sure not to lose it
> House, car, possesions that will require time and effort to maintain
> Insurance
> People will innevitably come to you that need money, and if you have a heart you'll want to help them using your money
> The affluent crowd is less fun to be around (IMO) than the poor crowd

In some ways I was happier when I lived paycheck to paycheck in my early 20's. I just lived in the moment.

Like everything in life, it's a balance...

wah I have a form 1040 instead of a 1040EZ
give me a break, having a shitload of money doesn't even force you to itemize or incur taxable dividends/capital gains, and when it does worst case it adds a couple schedules
if you still are too much of a baby pay someone else to do it, what with all your vast fortunes

> need to watch the money, bank it right, be sure not to lose it
this takes maybe ten minutes a month, even if you don't have a lot of money this is something you should do, like brushing your teeth or wiping your asshole thoroughly

> House, car, possesions that will require time and effort to maintain
having money doesn't mean having this, only literal poorfags think this way

> Insurance
as opposed to just being uninsured, getting sick, and dying?

> People will innevitably come to you that need money, and if you have a heart you'll want to help them using your money
oh my god

> The affluent crowd is less fun to be around (IMO) than the poor crowd
OH MY GOD

People who are bad with money, can't maintain financial discipline, etc. are just as bad as obese people. Any excuse they can come up with is 100% cope.
