I'll be starting a 85k/yr job in June while living with my dad (LA area, thank fuck I don't have to pay rent). Other than my basic needs (food, utilities, petrol, etc), I have no real expenditures or debt. At some point I'll probably want to move out, but my dad is chill so I won't be hard pressed to leave right away.
What would you do with all that disposable income?

Invest in solid, dividend paying stocks when they are trading at reasonable prices.
Don't fall for the index fund meme, a lot of stocks in those indexes aren't worth buying. Diversify by having no more than 20% of your money in one sector and no more than 5% in one stock.

Read the Intelligent Investor to get a decent idea about this. This is the book Buffett bases his investment strategy on.

Solid advice. I've already started some basic research on this based on other advice I've seen, so it's always nice to hear it reinforced.
Still looking for other opinions - even radical and stupid pipe dreams 'cause those can still be fun to think about

Withdraw it from the bank, in one dollar bills, then shove it all up your ass.
