What do you guys think about Darvas's Box theory? Can it work in the modern market and has it been backtested? Also would analyzing calls/puts volumne in a stock be useful for identifying a trend as when to enter and exit?

Are you planning on engaging in HFT? If not (probably since you're asking this question in the first place) then I don't see how the fuck that will help you. Especially in the modern marketplace.

I guess I should have mentioned using it along with some fundamentals and good technical indicators such as RSI, MACD,etc

Probably one of THE most backtested strategies out there. It became very popular because of how simple the idea was. If basically only works in very bullish markets, and at that point, any bull strategy works. There's nothing particularly special about Darva's
