Alright lads, I need a new credit or extend the limit on my current one for reasons. Problem is, the job I have on file with my current CC I no longer work at. I currently work for myself and haven't been making as much as before, but I really want to extend my credit (I be responsible, promise!). What should I do? Pretend I still have Mt old job? What's the best way to do this. I'm not above lying if you haven't figured it out already

What are they?

Extending your credit card debt is one of the riskiest borrowing mistakes you can possibly make. Interest rates on the majority cards are extremely high, and will put a massive strain on your ability to pay the debt down.

It can be potentially better for your overall if you consider a personal line of credit from your main bank. They are a form of revolving debt generally intended for emergency reserves and large purchases, as their interest rates are significantly less than credit cards overall. The only catch is that they usually require an annual fee and their interest rates are variable. If taking out more debt is absolutley necessary though, a personal line can save you a lot of money on interest compared to a credit card.

Just lie about your income or assets you dingus

Another thing I should add. Banks are going to calculate your debt to income ratio when you apply for an extention of credit or another product entirely. If you're going to apply, at least report growth on your monthly income relative to your existing debt, to make it seem believable to an underwriter that you'll be able to comfortably pay the debt down. Any value that calculates a ratio below 30% is in your favor.

Don't go crazy with this though, and apply for a bunch of products reporting income growth in a small time frame. Hard credit checks can seriously fuck your credit score, and this is a great way to get some to show up on your credit report.

assets never interested anyone when i applied for cc. all they cared about is your income and debt.
