The accountant at my work got an email from SecurityMetrics saying that a scan they did failed to pass because some vulnerabilities were found and have to be sorted out in accordance with PCI compliance.
Has this happened to anyone else, and is it a massive scam?
Why would they contact accounting instead of IT? Oh, because they're phishing for some dumb bitch named Deborah who spends half her time sharing cat videos on facebook. The security vulnerability has been identified - it's Deborah.

Probably because the accountant deals with the credit cards that're used within the company. He gave us the email before doing anything else though.
I'll just tell him to phone the bank and see what's what. Thanks though.

It's bullshit and you're an idiot for believing there wouldn't be men in suits at your workplace.

It's always Deborah.
Bet she still has the fucking passwords to the company payroll accounts written on post-it notes stuck to her monitor.

Fucking deborah.
It's always deborah.
