Depends on what your professors have done. Things will be more analytics focused than finance focused.

A good microeconomics prof should teach you enough that you can do price analysis.

Higher macroeconomics I got lucky. Prof came from Goldman and Morgan Stanley where he was working on global macro hedge strategies.

This wasn't at a great school.

Economics is more valuable imo. Finance and accounting are easy to learn afterwards if you put in some time.

depends what senior units you pick.

If you take financial econometrics and financial economics, you can learn a fair bit.

imo, as long as you pair your economics with either econometrics and/or maths, and have good grades, you are more valuable than a finance grad.

Would I be better off doing a math & economics program or a B.Sc. in economics?

For what? What do you want to do? Such a vague question dude.

For the best employment possibilities.

There is no universal best answer to the "best major"

why don't you go look up jobs in each field and get back to us

major in economics if you want to work in academia or government.
