How does monetizing subtitles work on youtube?
I'd like to make non-english subtitles for reviewers or let's players on youtube.
This is how I imagine it: I contact the youtuber, he responds, make a deal, send him the subtitles, he adds it to the video and that would generate money.
Now this is a perfect scenario and I realize it's not gonna be that easy, so how do I actually approach things?
bump for interest
so I get it that nobody here has tried it?
Haven't tried, but I'm interested

I've actually been considering starting a youtube channel and doing this. It makes sense. Google can translate good enough for me to post on asian youtube or in spanish. How could that not generate more views?
Adding subtitles to a video cant be as hard as producing one.
And then u capitalize several tines over on your vid.
What languages u fluent in op? Care to drop an email so i can contact you and work out something possibly?

well I'm from slovakia and I want to make a facebook page or twitter or whatever and post the youtube links with added subtitles there
the market here shares with czech republic as well because the language barrier is minor and the youtubers here doesn't even have 1M and can make it just fine... I think... I don't watch them as much as I do english speaking youtubers
or alternatively I thought of making my own website and put the link to the videos there with my own ads
