How to buy stocks? I mean technically what software sites are good, with low or no commissions.

I also get two copies. One for the broker and one to put in a binder here.
I use Scotttrade. I'm pretty happy, simple interface, easy to buy and sell.
I think it's $6 per trade.
My only complaint is after the trade order I think it's a few hours before the trade takes place. So I'm not able to make rapid fire daytrades. Also I think I have to wait 3 days for funds to settle and all that.
IDK though, maybe someone here can elaborate more.
