any miners here?
I finished my first ether mining in a pool after about a week and it should be in my geth wallet.
But after about 30 minutes it still isn't in. My ethereum wallet still shows 0.00 ether.
How long does it usually take? I'm pretty sure my node is synced too. Do I need to update to 8.0?

I'm a miner. You sound like you're mining either ETC or ETH. You also sound somewhat wet-behind-the-ears when it comes to mining.
If I were you I would consider mining for something besides ETC/ETH right now, it's extremely volatile and there is a 51% attack attempt going on right now.
zpool.ca (no affiliation other than I mine there) is a good choice right now. You can mine in any of the offered algos and withdraw in any coin by setting the count type in your stratum pwd argument.

Yea, usually it takes a bit when you first start mining, depending on the pool and the coin.
