Could somebody create a (bitcoin) gambling site with no money in reserve?
The idea would be to only have people gamble against each other and you skim a percentage of the winnings.
Is this legal in the US?
The biggest problem I see is matching users, especially a problem when there isn't much or any traffic.
ye it's called poker

I don't know anything about online poker, is it always players vs players? Is there any reason to have some type of reserve that I'm not thinking of?
And couldn't that be extended to any game of chance. Say dice rolls until one party picks correctly, coin flips. Things that are quick are good because you want to keep going.
I also think long term current event type bets could be used to deal with this:

Yeah lookup betting exchanges, this is how they work, people place a bet and others lay it at the price they put, then the exchange takes like 5% of the winners money.

I have a better idea. Same system.

betbtc and fairlay are already on the market. too late. fairlay usually has better odds
I think old CS sites used to do some coin flip bs, which really would work well, as you just post like a flip and decide on which side it falls, and you as owner could take like 5% and it'd still be worth it for who ever wins.

Why would -ev be worth it?

Just like 0 interest, 0 ev is an arbitrary cutoff point.
