Post your current positions and what broker you use biz. TD Ameritrade here because I'm not a total poor fag.
>no paper accounts
I use Vanguard
Does anyone here use Merrill Edge? Thinking about giving them a go.

What's wrong with robinhood as a broker?

I use Optionshouse for cheap $5 transactions and freeload off of TD Ameritrade's thinkorswim for the powerful multi-charts and live news.

Fucks you over by crashing at the worst times. High volatility fund restriction bullshit. No options/futures/OTC trading. It's OK for a complete noob but eventually you'll want more leverage and control

Bump. Is anyone going to rape my portfolio. Does no one else have one to be rated?
Started investing in January, doing pretty well
I'm getting raped by the £5 commission though. Shlal I just stop investing in these companies (apart from dividend reinvestments) and just shove all my money into index funds?
How many index funds is sufficient?
If I'm going for the sweet dividend returns, do I pick index funds focused on dividends such as VYM?
I also want to put a portion of income into a REIT too.

Invest at least 1k at a time and the fees do not hurt much. I am going to start investing about 2k in each stock I pick up.

I enjoy investing every payday, makes working seem worth it since I hate my job. I guess I could just invest in 1 company each month, but then I'm missing out on growth of other companies... This is why I'm looking into index funds so each month I could but 1k into 1 index and 1k into a REIT or something.

Robin meme instant because intellect
I use IB.
Just an ETF
Started trading this year on ING. Throwing 1k every month in hopes of living off dividends some day. Lost 500€ so far.

Its pitiful right? I opened this account in January and haven't been able to get through etrade's wringer enough to buy anything, or even transfer funds,
That's the first and only position I have open. It tells me the account is frozen, call them at 1-800-FUCK-YOU, I call them, and I've yet to get a human. Ask for a call back = they call, an automated voice says "This is your call back! Call us at your earliest convenience" and hangs up. They can't seem to verify this account even with an SSN, driver's license, and bank account. The worst part is my cash sitting around gaining nothing while $100 turns into $108. Spectacular
Etrade still thinks it's 1974 and wants you to call them for trading, support, withdrawal, transfers, everything. Of course that means 5 hours on hold to get one of the above done, which means it simply won't be done. Their phones ring off the hook all day long.
So long story short don't do business with etrade. You'll need support and they'll lead you to dead ends over and over to avoid it.
Best broker, cause I'm a poor fag.
