His tax plan cuts revenue across the board, meaning that we'll either have huge, unprecedentedly large deficits or those percentages aren't representative of what we're going to get. He's dead-set on shifting the proportional share of the tax burden onto the middle class, though. Look at how much he cut the upper income bracket vs the middle class income bracket. Since we know he's lowballing on tax rates, I'm willing to bet that he's going to raise my (middle class) taxes in order to preserve cuts for wealthiest.

It'll never happen, unfortunately. My main concern is that Trump also wants to put a wall between us and Canada. Canada is the US's greatest ally. The UK is an old friend and Israel polices the middle east when we're busy, but Canada is our neighbor with first world technology and we do not even want a war with that.

Part of the problem I'd wager is that huge amounts of what "Trump said" is actually "What people paid to slander Trump said he said".

The "Trump hates Mexicans" is the earliest example, but the "Trump wants to put all Muslims on a watchlist" thing is even more hilarious because 1) He didn't say he wanted to put Muslims on a watchlist and 2) Every Muslim is already on a watch list due to Obama's renewal of the PATRIOT Act and increasing the powers of the NSA.

It's not bad for people to jump to his defense if the things he's being accused of are slander.
