I've been having problems with HP and it started off small but the more I interact with them the more I realize how fucked up the company is. I've filed complaints with every consumer protection agency imaginable and I've done whatever I can to settle my grievances with them personally. First of all they've changed my warranty date 8 times in 12 days, 8 fucking times. When first I called in they said I wasn't under warranty anymore it'd expired in June of 2015. I had the piece of mind to use the automated tool to check it online and it said March 20th 2016. SO I was noticeably and I think most would agree reasonably pissed. I mean if I'd taken that guys word for it who was a complete dick and tried to sell me another printer. I would be fucked right now, I would have waited with my fucked up printer until the warranty ran out not knowing I could repair it and I'd need to buy another one. Well fuck all that noise. If your printer lasts only a year, or less than, it's time to hire new fucking engineers. Well now since they haven't met my very very simple requests I'm gonna need to file a small claims court case, and I'll have to decide if I have enough money and enough chance to win to upgrade it to a district court case. It makes me wanna do one of these. It was a work accident.
How much are you talking about in terms of damage?
If it's just a sub 1k computer or electronic, then you're better off just letting it go and making it a point to not doing any future business with them.
There's a reason their stock is completely tanking. That company will be dead in another five to ten years.
>>1033107
Look, HP will send a $1000 /hr lawyer to your small claims court in butt fuck no where and blow you the fuck out.
It's cheaper to spend $100,000 on legal fees than pay you $100- because if they paid you $100, people would learn you can sue HP and HP will pay you $100 to go away
HP are pleb tier consultants and make shit enterprise applications. That is all.
Which countries are going to gain the most if the oil prce still the same as now?
And which one will fall?
Places like Japan and the UK will benefit just not as much as you would think (shipping costs will always be a huge cost influence for "islands"
The entire middle east is going to fucking burn if prices stay low for more than a year or 2 and before someone says it, no, that is NOT a good thing, not when multiple countries have nuclear weapons
im probably going to kill myself if it doesn't recover this year.
Yeah but what about EU and USA or Canada?
Has anyone here actually made any legit money off of survey/"free cash" sites or is it a waste of time? was trying swagbucks today, got maybe an two hours in and only got 37 cents, seems not worth it imo.

Exactly. Maybe not that much but you seriously believe that an ambitious guy who knows the people Biden knows only has assets of 600k? Not a chance.
Putin claims to have assets of like 300k but is really a high grade billionaire
I'd like your advise, /biz/.
I work at a call center where we hire hundreds of people a year while going to college. Pay is okay for a call center and the job is very easy. Recently I heard about a referral thing: I can bring people in and if they stay 1 month I get 100$.
I've already referred two of my friends because they needed a job while going to school, but now I'm thinking of bringing this to a point no one ever did there. I want to act as a "recruiter" and post free ads on local websites. I'll receive resumes, evaluate them, call the people I selected and fix a group interview. Then I will decide whether I refer them or not. The job is very easy (surveys) and I don't need highly intelligent people, I just need some people who are bilingual and have a minimum of social skills.
Do you guys have any experiences related to this ? Do you have any DOs and DONTs ?
Also, I can't meet them in a professional place so I'll have to fix the meetings in public places. Would it be okay to meet people at a coffee shop or would there be more appropriate places for that ?
Any advise ?
Thanks /biz/, you're always there when I need you.
>>1033052
My advice is that you go headbutt an oncoming train.
>>1033052
sounds like a standard pyramid scheme
talk to them on the phone then give them the referal if they sound competent. Fuck you for even considering meeting with them in person then going in for an interview, you're wasting people's time on a shitty job.
What should be done about Uber?
Is Uber a legitimate competitor or are they killing the industry?
Do regular taxi companies have themselves to blame for not innovating?
What is your opinion on the matter?
-RexT-
Ukraine.
Over here in sfl, a lot of the taxi's are driven by Haitians who barely speak English, overcharge and are rude as hell. Fuck em. The taxi industry killed itself.

I haven't opened a bank account yet but I'm wondering if I have to. I basically do writing and design work for people through the internet. So far, I've been doing it for free but to meet ends, now I'm deciding to charge a small fee for my services.
Most of my clients aren't familiar with cryptocurrencies and the like. I was wondering if there'd be a way to recieve and transact money without an actual bank account. My charges are 1-5$ range, it doesn't make sense to go through the trouble of going to bank, opening and maintain an account. I'm looking for a virtual solution.

Who /modestdreams/ here?
All I want in life is to have a stable job with normal hours that pays enough for me to upgrade my PC every 12 months and afford new Steam games. I'm a 22 year old dropout and have failed that miserably so far, but I'm starting community college now. Plan to get an Associate's in Accounting and then my Aunt is gonna get me in at the credit union she works for. She's a loan officer there and I plan to be a personal banker, opening accounts for people and stuff. She says it pays about $40K a year and the hours are good, 12PM-6PM Mon-Thurs and 9AM-6PM Friday and Saturday. Plus credit unions close on every little minor holiday.
Who else here has modest goals? Everybody here talks about making millions off of $20 in Robinhood or Bitcoin. Got to be some sensible people here.
I don't know if it's modest, but this is my ideal life:
Own a 15 acre off the grid self sufficient property away from the major population centres, own a 200 acre farm with lots of nut trees and other capital/time intensive infrastructure, own an innercity property (in Aus, the innercity is the rich part of town because we don't have the government forcing blacks into everyones neighbourhoods), skill up as an expert in drought resilience/land rehabilitation and earn enough money from my job and assets to holiday twice a year and buy most anything I want.
>>1040973
Im with you on the living a modest life anon, but i simply wont settle for mediocrity.

want a modest life with gf, kids, dog and an OK house etc. But i also want to succeed i my chosen fields. I want to be top tier in what i do. Henceforth comes motivation. Motivation is key

I was actually considering on becoming an nurse or radiology tech (x-ray guy), but my Aunt already said she'd get me a job if I got at least an associate's degree in Accounting so I'm doing that to be safe. I'll either rent an apartment or buy a trailer, and save my money to spend on gaming and other projects I like such as fishing, gym equipment, etc. Don't care about a gf.

I have a strange hunch that this and the august-flashcrash are a Chinese aggression on American assets.
What?
China does not have the death grip on America's economy. We still have a pretty stable relationship, and I think we need to be more concerned with what is happening with this influx of bodies with ill intent to America's stability.

How do index funds and ETFs deal with dividends? Do I get a cheque in the mail from every company that the index fund holds during their payout periods?
You get a single distribution, usually quarterly, aggregating all the dividends for that period. That distribution will be paid in cash or reinvested depending on the options you established when you created your account.
>>1032894
Cool, so the fund owner gets the cheques from the various companies and split them up to us retail plebs.
Do all companies payout dividends at the same time or is this standardized across the financial world?
>>1032897
>Do all companies payout dividends at the same time or is this standardized across the financial world?
Not every company pays a dividend, and there is no fixed standard for those that do. Usually, but not always, distributions are done quarterly, to coincide with the release of the company's financial statements.
can you use tor to increase your own ad revenue on your blogspot blog?
