Bond traders had been saying to each other that when oil (WTI) hit it's 2009 low ($32.50 or so) that the bond traders should buy. Then they got fucked down to $29.93 and it's come back up some.
I've seen WTI oil at $10/bbl in 1986, $11/bbl in 1998, $147 in 2008, $32/in 2009 and here we are today.
This is like 1986 so I'd say you'll see oil below $20 this year.

Hello /biz/
After a strange and turbulent ride these past few years, I've come to the conclusion I that I want to enter the magical world of business and investing. I won't bore you with a TL:DR story on how I came to this conclusion, I'm sure you've read plenty of those. I'll just give you the bottom line; Apart from a couple of personal finance classes I took in highschool, I am new to this topic need to start from the ground up. Any advice or recommendations for reading help
Here is a few details on me for what they are worth
>24 years old
>male
>Working in sales, annual salary is ~$65,000 after taxes
>Currently have less than $2100 debt to my name
>Have $25,000 in cash at my disposal at any time
>Do not have a degree, have a handful of general college classes completed (IE Math 102, English 101, Chem 112, Psychology 101 to name a few)
>Have the time, money and willpower to finish a degree if needed
>have the time and willpower to work a second job if needed
>Not worried about sacrificing my social life
>not worried about not being able to do anything fun for a few or several years
>Single, no children.
>quick learner
>physically competent
>Have a decent amount of skill and experience working construction. Flipping houses may very well be my first venture if the market permits

I'm in a weird spot /biz/.
So, i'm job hunting and just did an interview today as a kitchen aid at a local hospital. Pays really well, and offers insurance. I also put in an application at a gas station before the hospital that i could walk to for work, its really close. I know everyone in town. The old gas station that USED to be at the same spot, i worked at.
I'm supposed to getting a call on saturday if i get hired on, Possibly friday. but the manager at the hospital said she had another interview to do on friday.
After i get home from that interview, i get a call about the newly opening gas station i applied at. They want an interview tomorrow.
My question is, do i tell him i'm waiting on the other job if he tries to hire me on immediately and hold out a day to get hired on officially?
I've never had 2 interviews so close on my life.

How the hell is it legal?
If all the customer's of any given bank decided to withdraw all their money for whatever reason, that bank would have to be bailed out simply because that hard money doesn't exist.

I read the same book, 4th edition. I'm honestly not sure. Both fractional and reserve banking seem flawed. Fiat money has lots of flaws, but even the gold standard has some flaws. Competing currencies is also flawed. I'm not quite sure what the best monetary system is because even the so-called experts are divided. Among libertarians there's tons of different opinions. Ultimately though I think Friedman is right though. His k-percent rule seems to be ideal. The problem is that it's fiat money and there would always be the risk that the government will inflate the money supply to pay for expensive government programs. To prevent this maybe it would be a good idea to allow banks to print their money if they choose to, to compete with the dollar. I'm not sure if banks would do it though.
