Hello, biz my stock portfolio is god awful. let's just put it out there I tried my luck with penny stocks and the like and I'm in the red $3300 dollars I'm really new to the stock market. I was prepared to lose what i invested it was some savings that i figured I'd try my hand in multiplying with so I'm not broke or anything. My total account value is $2700 and I have a little over $800 to spend that's currently in my account. Any ideas on how to make this money grow really well over the next.. I don't know.. 5 years? I'm just looking for any general advice or stock tips or anything really.

Right now, shorting the SP or Nasdaq would be a good idea, but since you are already invested and at a loss, just try to wait it out.
Buy and hold, see what happens, maybe you will get that lucky 10.000% increase on your penny stock
Or maybe not. The stock market is half gambling after all.

Morning /biz
Situation is I live in a different state, I am claiming head of household and my mother as a dependent on my taxes, I have covered 80% of my mothers living expenses over the last year, My mother has not worked all of last year, has Medicaid and cant afford to lose it. I wanted to make sure prior to filing that this would infact not affect her medicaid in NY
Again i own a home, reside in and work in a diff state
My mother resides in an apt in NY
I pay 80% + her cost of living and she has not worked last year
She has medicaid
Would like to validate that me filing head of household will not affect her medicaid.

Why the fuck is it illegal to count cards? How is it wrong to apply a logical mathematical strategy to a game of chance that has skill applied to it? I mean out of all those casino games the card ones are all skill based the only games that are completely up to chance are dices and roulette. How is it not illegal for the dealer to never go first or have the house manipulate the odds?

I know you are all /biz/y people and I shouldn't bother you with my pleb concerns as a mere employee, but I need your advice /biz/.
I'm new to London and looking for a job. Found a few cool ones but noticed it's a practice to not go past the first interview unless you say how much money you want.
How do you negotiate that so that I can later pic related? Is there a way of being flexible without sounding desperate? Is there a way to at least find out if you priced yourself out so you can go lower next time?
Appreciate any tips. Some details to help: I'm looking for a senior business planning manager position in IT/Software corporations (>$1Bn anually), most of which are American (so Amerifags feel free to chime in).
