what's the cheapest foods to eat in terms of how much nutrition they provide per $dollar
The cheapest, most nutritionally complete meal is oat porridge with whole milk.
You could live off of that for a fuckhuge time.
Also potatoes are incredibly nutritionally complete.
And of course eggs.
Beans and rice

Your health affects how much you can work and concentrate so a good diet pays for itself indirectly.
Wholesale dried kidney beans and whey powder covers protein and calories. Sardines or pills for omega 3 oil, economy orange juice or vitamin C pills. Get as much as you can from walmart dumpsters and food banks.
Is there any growth possibilities when you are a statistician/econometrician to CEO for example?
Any statisticians here?
What do I need to do exactly to get good papers. How soul sucking is the job and how hard is it?
What about accounting? (Same questions)
I ''excel'' at both academically lol
How good are the salaries compared to each other? I heard that statisticians can make 150k a year and top tier CEOs around 200k
I don't want to suck cock or take it up my bum.
Please answer all my questions, tell me the truth.
Also, if I want to work in the private sector, what are the best biz-related degrees to major in and why? I don't like to to be commanded btw. I want to become an entrepreneur on the side.
>>1055315
From the way you talk, I assume you're a high schooler/early undergrad.
Most "statistician" jobs require an advanced degree. If you are not willing to get a masters in a quantitative discipline you'll have a more difficult time getting into this field.
If you do get a masters, hop on the "data science" bandwagon.
I'm not really sure what you mean "top-tier CEO." CEOs of fortune 500 companies make millions, not 200k.
>>1055321
>if I want to work in the private sector
Are you considering not? Do you want to work in government?
We need more information on location and such.
But to answer the core question, 150K is probably the median salary for data scientists in the Valley. Other places will have lower salaries. You can also transition into doing more consulting work if you really want to.

Hey thanks for the quick answer.
I'm taking my gap year and I'm 18 now. I am from the Netherlands but I am abroad now in Finland, not planning to stay here for long though.
I applied for an open degree at the open university. And am not sure what modules to pick to reach my highest potentials. I am planning to get a master degree in the Netherlands though from an university that ranks at about <100. I want to get an international degree to become more employable rather than getting it in Dutch to work in the Netherlands.(I'm planning to live in Taiwan)
I know that I should do my own research, and that everything is online. But I really would like to have a "reality check" on the information I'm getting.
However, is it possible to become CEO of a good company when you are a statistician?
How stressful and hard is the job? How many hours? Is working overtime common?
What's the minimum pay globally?
I DO NOT WANT TO WORK FOR THE GOVERNMENT.

BOYYYY!! I was on here about a month ago talking about how these pharma stock traders I follow are trading with fire. This one guy tweets every time he's about to trade something and he just posted his portfolio. Take a peek at this shit gents.
>all those reds
Hmmm wonder why a pump and dump dood with a bunch of followers would have his stock recommendations consistently come out positive...
>screenshot portfolio on a day the entire market does well
Any fag can do this
For all you know they were all down 10% the next day

I'm a college student interested in getting in investing, can you guys offer me some advice?
Which markets are good right now?
What trends should I look for?
What are good sources of general trading info?
I don't have a lot of money to put in right now so low-risk investments are what I'm looking for. Anything you can offer would be helpful.

Finish college and get a job

The crash? You think that was the crash? Oh boy

Dont get too optimistic yet.
We've yet to see any oil producer defaults, and theres a high probability of venezuala defaulting.
Also, There is a decent chance of The euro crisis erupting again, if those economies are, in fact, contracting.
>>1054953
question:
when we start to see some oil producers begin to default, it will rattle the market, but wont this be good news as the writing will be on the wall that price of oil will go up as less companies around to pump it out of the ground?
What is the minimum dollar amount or percent that you would sell a stock for?
Do you sell when you made $100, $500, $1000, what?
Do you have a minimum percent, like a 4% gain after expenses?
>>1054737
Depends on the stock, how committed to it I am, and whether I bought it for long term investment or a short term trade.
I always look at it in terms of percentage, though dollars sometimes matter too.
Since I work on a cash account (I won't borrow money to play the market), I like to do a bunch of small hit to keep cash cleared up.
Usually $500 is a nice trigger for me, unless the return percentage is high and I think things are going to turn.
This has changed this year, as I am determined to book profits every week. So I have a sell order right now where the profit will only be about $100.
I don't really WANT to sell, because I think it will still go up, but I think there is more value in keeping the disciple of making money every week.

I have a few questions regarding eBay:
-How many views do you usually get before someone makes a bid in your auction?
-How to get the initial rep to start selling stuff on eBay? Nobody seems to buy stuff from you if you have no rep.
-What's the minimal rep required to be considered a more or less reliable seller?
>>1054416
Are you accepting paypal as payment?
Are you trying to sell items that people are known to be wanting? Like for example if you try to sell an old philosophy book you probably won't be selling it in 10 days.
When did you create your account? How many feedback do you have?
>>1054427
>Are you accepting paypal as payment?
Yes.
>Are you trying to sell items that people are known to be wanting?
Yes, but I can't say I'm 100% sure.
>When did you create your account? How many feedback do you have?
Less than a month ago; zero feedback. I know that this is a huge problem when it comes to selling, but I have no idea how to get initial feedback.
>>1054416
>selling on ebay
>being a total pleb
>2016
Move to Amazon you embarrassing faggot.
Ebay General.
So /biz/ has the last month been a good month to make shekels on ebay?
Did you try to invest money in new meme products to (re)sell?
>>1054358
I build my own shit and just had my first two sales on eBay last week. The margins are way lower than i get locally; however, so if my sales volume doesn't start increasing now that i have some feedback, and/or i can't raise my prices a little, I'm out of that "perfect knowledge market" game.
>>1054422
Interesting.
Are those things that you are making and selling expensive? (expensive as in >100$/€ or something like that)
Because if you're selling relatively cheap items then why not just raise the price by 1 or 2€ to get the ebay fees back?
I don't know what you're selling but probably it's not something super common is it? So I don't think that you have such a huge competition that doesn't let you raise your prices a little.
If you're selling "expensive" things then well yeah Ebay sucks. I usually insert a little paper in the shipping thing where I leave my email and a message like "I also sell things outside of ebay for a cheaper price because blabla fees. Contact me if interested"
It kinda works. Not always but it works.
But then again my prices are high if you compare them to the real market value. People buy it because what I'm selling is hard to find.
Let's say that you're selling something for 300€ on ebay. If you manage to get contacted directly by the buyer outside of ebay you can for example tell him I'll sell you another one for 285€. The buyer is going to be happy to save 15€ and you're going to be happy to make 15€ more.
>>1054441
I build custom furniture parts. They sell locally for about $95, but they seem to shake out at $45-65 on eBay, at least presently with my being a low feedback seller.
I'm still making about a 76% markup on materials, but without some increase in volume, I'd rather not split my focus on emailing, UPSing, writing descriptions, etc.
