Hey /biz/,

My qt3.14 girlfriend is hot but dumb. She threw away one of my two W-2 forms. Is there a way I can fudge it. I seriously have zero desire to call the employer and tell them I need a replacement.

>there are people so impoverished that their companies don't provide W2's online

I don't think I've seen a paper copy of a tax form in my entire life
>>
>>1058281
? That doesn't make sense. How does a paper w-2 make one impoverished? How does an online W-2 make one not impoverished? Almost all tax software has the option to do paper, online or both.

OP you NEED to get that W-2. They send one to the IRS too so they know exactly what the numbers should be and will cross check it with what you submit on your 1040.
However if you made less than say 40k they may decide it's not worth their time to audit you, but that's taking a very silly risk.

I was in some movie with Arnold GainsNegger, and they got my info because whatever. I didn't realize they were going to pay me the shit extra wage. Anyway, I got a check for fucking 36.06. But I don't have any sort of tax form from them.

Do I need to file it? Can I file it from paycheck somehow, they did include deductions on the paycheck for some reason.
8 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Also, I assume throwing away the check without cashing it and not filing isn't an option since the company is? I could care less about this trash, but I don't want to wait for them to send out the forms.
>>
$36?
I wouldn't worry about it
I would keep the check as a souvenir and cash it by mobile
Noone gives a fuck if you short the IRS a few bucks
>>
>>1058267
Unless you make over 200k the IRS isn't going to audit you. They can't afford to audit everyone they want to.

I heard a lot of good things about this book:
Raw Deal - How the "Uber Economy" and Runaway Capitalism Are Screwing American Workers

>makes public transportation cheaper and more user-friendly for everyone in the country, especially those who couldn't afford taxis in the past
>"screwing american workers"

Here's an idea: requiring a "taxi driver license" creates a racket that prevents free enterprise for people that want to be drivers. Maybe it is, in fact, the government that is screwing the American worker. But that has never happened before.
>>
Decentralised uber built using the etgereum blockchain will be entirely p2p and be a better deal for drivers and passengers by cutting out the middleman which sucks 40 billion dollars value out of the system like a giant parasite.

Uber, airbnb, all centralised sharing economy companies will get btfo by ethereum.

I'm currently in the interview process for an entry level consulting position at Deloitte in DC. My background is engineering and I've been working for a major OEM auto manufacturer for almost the last 2 years.

I hate manufacturing so that's the reason I'm looking to get out. I also realized working as an engineer doesn't net you nearly as much money as consulting.

Anyways, can anyone give some insight into what the technical interview will be like? I'm also not sure if I'll have to do a case interview since I'm coming in as an experienced hire. I've been networking my ass off and have met in person with two managers and have a senior manager (almost partner) talking to me too.

About consulting in general, what is life like while working for the firm and then after? I have friends who work for Deloitte, but they've only been there for 1 -2 years.

>consulting, also known as 'being involved in economics without skin in the game'
>respectable

Pick one, OP. You should do it for the pay, but you will also most likely sell your soul forever
>>
>>1058246
Ex-Accenture here. Can't speak to the technical interview since I came in to do analytics, so my experience is probably different.

As far as day-to-day, it depends on your boss and their relationship with the client. One plus is that you will get a ton of variety in your experience assuming you try: I learned 4 programming languages the first year I worked there. You also will learn to sell yourself and your work, since you spend like half your time doing just that. Travel can be fun, but you'll only get to see the nightlife.

I left after 2 years because a local firm was going to pay me 50% more to be an FTE and the travel was hard on my family.
>>
>>1058266
>>1058272

I know that I will be working with those "I was in a frat, now I live the yuppie life" people, but that doesn't bother me as much as the rednecks and people who get married at the age of 23 who I currently work with.

Personally, I think consulting will bring me the money and experience I desire for the next 5 years. Tangible skills are shit a monkey can do, but those intangible skills like learning to sell yourself are much more important to me.

I don't think I'll mind the travel but I probably won't be doing much of that since I'll most likely land a federal consulting project over a commercial project. I honestly don't know what I want in life, but I'd like to be making good money while I figure that out instead of being a piece of shit millennial. Plus I need that money to bootstrap a startup that I cofounded. We might break even within the next year.

ZeroHedge pls go. The market is back to normal, everything that happened this month was just to trap retards into panic selling, and it worked marvelously.

I hope you bought the dip, if not, I feel sorry for you.
>>

I assume the rally was due to the climbing oil price, and the fact that China has stabilized temporarily. I'm not sure why Oil rallied so much, but if it really was just the blizzard, it's going to be a really transient spike. I'd expect whatever good feelings their are wrt crude to taper off by mid-week. Then it's going to be a matter of whether the bottom falls out of China.

Is selling on Amazon a good idea?

I want to attempt to go full time on private labeling and hopefully invest in producing my own product.

I have worked in customer service and I think I will be able to pull in ratings and reviews quite easily. I have the gift of the gab and I could sell water to a fish, and buy a rating from a buyer.

But, is it worth it? Is it worth investing $3000 and quitting my day job to invest everything I have into this? Don't give me a pussy reply about how it'd be dumb because I 'might' lose everything. I can get another job if things fuck up bad but realistically, is there money there to start a new company and sell shit.

I was thinking, Yoga materials, kitchen utensils and power banks?

Investing into it : Yes
Quitting your day job : Not for the first year or so
Investing everything into any one thing : kek
>>
>>1058190
Don't quit your job.

Your talker skills aren't going to help you in the cold environment of listings order by ascending price.

Plus the fees are crazy. Expect at least 25% between fees and shipping overruns. Budget higher if your target customer base may be a serial returner too.

The paying off debt and buying supplies in bulk vs. duking it out with professional investment companies is great advice. Waiting to buy until the market is down is just common sense, his investments seem a little too risky for the average joe though.

I suppose... if you're doing the only thing that matters to you, life's ordinary discomforts fade to a barely perceptible dill ache, while you kill yourself everyday in pursuit of your goal. It's a weird road to take, bro, and it definitely ain't about the money. That shit is a byproduct, if it's even involved at all.

If the eBay dude, who eats canned beans just to live while he has $700,000 dollars invested into computer parts he sells for $.05/profit each, ever pops back up, listen to his story.

Hi /Biz/

I have a Facebook like page with over 10k likes as a fan page for a certain breed of dog.

Old people share pictures of their dogs on my wall and I share them and they all comment on them and shit. I have a website where I get people to send me in pics of their dogs via email.

I often put pics up on my website and post on facebook to make them go to my page which is kind of redundant because they can already see the pic.

My question is, how would you get a load of niched dog fans to spend money on your site?

Is anyone else just trying to find a way to make money from home, be it through an online business, refurbishing stuff and reselling online, affiliate marketing etc? I just can't fucking think of anything that makes sense.

I see guys who, ALL THEY DO, is make like wallets and belts, they have their dumb little website, and that's all they fucking do. They sell belts and wallets. I fucking just can't think of something like that. Everything seems like it's been done or whatever.

It seems like there is an answer dangling right in my fucking face and I just can't see it. I see all of these fuckers making like 50K a year from this or that, all online. I see faggots on here actually making money from crypto-currencies.

Does anyone else look at something and just think "everyone else is doing it so there is no money in it anymore" or something like that? I wish that I could just think of a product, create a website, buy a domain name, and sell just that product and that be my job. I wouldn't care if I made $12,000 a year. I want MY OWN business. I don't WANT to work for fucking anyone elses dream.

Is it just me? Am I just too fucking stupid for this? It feels like the idea is on the tip of my tongue but I just can't taste it enough to know what it is. (inb4 a dick)

I know that the money is out there. How in the fuck do I get it?

my fiance and I have about 60k to put towards a house and 10-15 for closing. how do you buy a home without getting jewed by everyone: realtors, accountants, lawyers, etc.?
26 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
Why do you need an accountant and a lawyer to buy a house? Get an FHA loan, get preapproved and negotiate with the seller. Pretty easy to not get fucked if you just pay attention.

ASK questions to your realtor, if they are a good one, they will answer.
>>
>>1056813

Unless you are paying in cash, you're going to get jewed by everyone. The entire process is filled with middlemen.
>>
>>1056817
Is it a smart move to get an FHA loan if you just don't feel like putting 20% down on a house?

It seems like a poor person loan has to have some type of catch to it.
