You're now in possession of an imaginary $50k, which happens to be your entire net worth.
How will you make this money to work for YOU?

Investing into stock/bonds is out of question. You would need at least a million or two to gain anything in those market(s).
Only three logical choices seems to be:
- spend it on learning something(self-investment)
- use as starting capital for a business/startup
- buy crypto
Am I on the right track of thought?
How practical is the idea of buying cheap chinese goods off of alibaba and selling them on craigslist for 50-200% profit?
What sells and what doesn't? I see those self-balancing scooters everywhere these days and they sell for about $400 in the mall and on CL. I can get them for $120 on alibaba. I imagine there are plenty of products in this situation; bluetooth speakers, wireless chargers, tablets, etc.
Could I make some money off this idea?
you always could buy broken iphones and pay to have the screen replaced, and then sell them
How do i get to be a broker/fund manager? in other words, how can i start earning money by investing in markets?

funny fact, Burry was not keen on vanguard funds, shared it with public in his blogging days and went on their 'black list'.

If I was to put 1000 dollars on NYMEX crude oil at roughly 30 bucks a barrel and waited a year or so what is the likely hood oil failing? Will oil always be this cheap?
First off, you're not buying crude with 1000$. You're not even close to the margin requirement. Secondly, it's a good bet but trying to run a directional when you have no clue on what youre doing is bound to backfire. So yes op. Go buy some.
well, what did any of you anons do with your first disposable one thousand to make it grow? while we are at it, lets see some stories of failure

Could go lower still. Don't catch a falling knife.
About the only thing I see that could push the cost of oil up rapidly right now, is a world war.
what is "Erratas"? anyone in east coast IT or HR ever heard of this? is it real?

Yes because all shitcoins bubble at the same rate.
how easy is it to get a job earning 60k+ with the series 7? like let's say you got your 7 and quit your job after only being there for 5 months. would there be a firm willing to hire you around that pay just because you have the 7?
fuck off with that totally unrelated picture faggot
>>1062499
yeah you'll get hired because you won't have to waste a month or 2 getting the 7 -- likely if they see you've been somewhere for 5 months and only offer entry level stuff. any more senior position will need more than a few months experience
i'd ride it out until bonus season and see what happens
what do you do that you need the 7 and make less than 60k?
Happening?
>or not

Well, i went leveragedx3 bear on oil at 27,7$ (ca the lowest point in this downtrend), so my ass is sore at the moment. Believe me when i say i shat barbed wire when oil rallied 12% RITE fuken after i bought. Thinking about riding it out tho as i am still bearish on oil. This given that the only positive news oil has gotten in a while is as shit as a hint from saudi.
Currently down 28% at that position
Well I bought some equities and ETFs today before the rally. Up a bit, let's hope to Allah it continues.

Use poloniex to trade bitcoins for ether
Look up the term "bagholder"
That's what all of /biz/ is going to be after another memecoin goes to the moon, and by moon, I mean zero USD
Don't worry though, another one will replace it before the summer, and it will be revolutionary and nothing at all like PND, Monero, Ripple, Darkcoin, and Bitcoin
Hi /biz/
I'm a retarded blue collar worker that makes ~95k canadian a year. No debt or car payment, 22 years old.
How can I start turning this into more money? I'm single and I don't even spend half of the money that comes in.
My employer had a stock buying option as well as a direct benefit pension program as well, if it helps.
Save up an 2-3 month emergency fund. stick it in a high interest but always accessible savings account and never use it unless you need to. This helps if the boiler brakes but its real power is to stop panic when the shit hits the fan.
look up whatever the canadian 401k is. Money that doesn't get taxed is better always than other money.
get a credit history. even if its just a card you use on dates. credit histories are things you never have until after you bought them at very high interest rates.
after that look into index funds, bonds and property.
>>1063937
Buy the dip.
You can shelter some of that income from tax by contributing to the pension but 22? Who knows if there will be anything left when you can take it out, and at what obscene tax rate?
Stuff a TFSA full. Buy oil stocks and commodities because with 7 billion breeding monkeys resources are going to be stripped clean pretty soon, like 20 to 30 years tops is all earth has left at this rate. Don't get too heavy into the hookers and blow.
Get a financial advisor who won't rip you off, they will spot you as a mark right away.

Msy i ask what career pays so highly? Im a white collar grad and i dont even earn half of that.
