Bombardier is going to skyrocket the next few days/weeks. This is not a question I am just giving /biz/ a heads up.

Oddly you can shill crypto here but not stocks.
The mods will be around in a day or so to bother with banning you again.
>>1104766
Who is shilling? I know /Biz/ is lazy as fuck but it pays off to re search.
>>1104725
You do realise if you do this with regular stocks you end up in prison right?
How does /biz/ think of Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand? Why do libcucks hate her so much?
>>1104712
There are so many people religiously shilling for her views that it has become insufferable for many who actively follow political debates
>>1104731
>political debates
It's actually more of an economic ideology, Objectivism is.
>>1104712
Mostly because Ayn Rand is a massive hypocrite that died on welfare.
Do you think someone like Zuckerberg seriously thinks he's doing good? Is the attitude of billionaires in public all part of marketing strategy?
>>1104709
He has always been a scumbag, of course he isn't doing it for a good cause.
>>1104709
Does his motive ultimately matter?
>>1104709
The appearance of doing good is more important to most people than doing good.
Hey /biz/antines, since all available information about companies is widely accessible to pretty much everyone with a computer, for standard equity traders are markets efficient? Are stocks sold at a "discount" because of some fundamental, technical, and/or macro valuation by the markets in aggregate reflecting all available data? Is the only way left to consistently beat the market without guessing latency arbitrage?
School me geniuses.
>>1104676
Markets in developed countries are efficient. However, markets for the risky developing countries usually are not. In fact, getting accurate financial information for say, a chilean company, may not be as easy as clicking on a link online.
Canadian here. How do I invest 40k?
TFSA?
Can I invest in american stocks. Or is that stupid because if the canadian dollar equalizes with the american one (which will happen in a few years), I'll actually be taking out less money if I made a profit. Is that right?
What do I invest in?
I only put 500 dollars in my TFSA so far because I'm unsure

Exchange rate may not work out in you favour in the future but what you can consider is some brokerages that allow for a USD side. I believe both TD and RBC Direct Investing offer USD accounts.
While that doesn't shield you from the exchange rate, it will allow you to keep securities in the US side and not lose out on exchange everytime you buy and sell since you can exchange CAD to USD then trade with USD and keep everything in USD.
As to what to invest in, you will get varying advice from Bitcoin to the flavour of the month stock or etf.
In the end it falls to you to choose the right investment and to do that you need to educate yourself better to make these decisions.
Good luck OP
How old are you? Do you want to play your money speculatively or just have long term growth? Broad based market fund or similarly well diversified portfolio will probably do you best in the long run without you having to micromanage it. Just don't freak out if you end being down for the year and sellout to realize losses. In 30 years that won't matter.

Brokefag here. I have 3k in student loans and 2k in self-employment taxes. The former was due on the 10th, but I have 120 days before that shit goes to a collection agency. The taxes are due in April.
My "job" pays 13.50 an hour but it's incredibly difficult to get 40 hours a week.
My mom and grandparents would be able to help me should I need it, but I really don't want to end up having to ask them for $5k. I was saving up for my self-employment taxes like a good goyim, but ended up blowing through all of it over the past 2 months because I was depressed and reckless.
What is the most diligent and safe way to fabricate this money in ~2 months?
>>1104376
Quit sucking cocks for free at the local glory hole and charge $10
>>1104376

>>1104525
>>1104511
I've been applying for real jobs, nothing yet. Guess it's time to hit up McD's. I'm fucked I think, but I suppose it won't be the end of the world.
capitalism doesn't make any sense.
1% wealthy
20% upper middle class
99% poor and in debt.
What doesn't make sense is why I have to have a real woman who doesn't expect to have to contribute an equal share to the household instead of an ideal waifu willing to work for our dreams.
>>1103842
I was thinking ppl of /biz/ loving it...
Under socialism it's the same but there's no middle class and the wealthy are the government officials.
Why does everyone want my ID before I can buy bitcoins?
So the government can laugh at you.
You are trading an unsecured asset for a secured asset.
>>1103817
I don't understand?
How can quants write algorithms that trade stocks in milliseconds? Doesn't someone have to buy those stocks from them?
>>1103681
There are always outstanding orders to buy/sell
>>1103686
Even millions at the same time? What kind of stocks do these banks trade?
>>1103692
You can check the volume traded under most graphs for any stock
I go to community college to be a gym teacher and I am pretty much fed up with the SJW liberal bullshit they teach. I guess I live in a shit state (tennessee)
I was thinking of applying to At&t or comcast and work my way up in there because they start at like $12 an hour. And I think I would do well at it. I would need to go to a uni and spend a lot to become the gym teacher anyways. I already spent 2 years at a community college to become a personal trainer but then I failed the certification test 3 times. I still got a certificate of completion from the school though. What do you guys think?
this belongs in the advice board
>>1103636
Take the test until you pass or change your occupation.
As an American watching the slow death of the middle class, I have some predictions that I'd like to share and get your thoughts on. For starters, I think that as the middle class breaks down it will break down into several different component parts down below the level of upper-middle class with blue collar workers sinking back down to the working class. There will be:
>Legacy Middle Class: Largely people who went to college and stayed out of debt, or at least handled it responsibly. They are still making a middle class income while saving and investing wisely. However they are largely locked out of class mobility as the gap between the rich and everyone else grows. They may have a sizable enough inheritance to propel them into the Upper-Middle Class at some point.
cont'd
>Debtor Middle Class: Starting with student loan debt and car debt before pivoting to mortgages this segment of the middle class will resemble the current white collar portion of the middle class and the Surviving Middle Class, but only on the surface. Their constant debt prevents them from being able to accumulate significant savings and investments, and their tapped out credit will prevent them from doing things like starting a business, pursuing certain higher level degrees etc. Their lifestyles will be better than working class, but they will effective be kept as debtors their entire lives.
>Fallen Middle Class: Imagine a shift manager at a fast food chain who lives in a nice house that he inherited from his parents and you have an accurate depiction of this social class. They have a bit more than the working class because of their lack of need to pay rent, but their access to credit is limited to what they can draw using collateral, and their parents accounts that have been left to them are slowly being tapped out by things like home repairs and large purchases that someone on their income could not otherwise afford. This class will see it's wealth crumble within another generation or two.
I think that what remains of the Legacy Middle Class will either sink into the Debtor Middle Class or merge with the Upper Middle Class as the Fallen Middle Class peters out.
>>1103439
Agreed.
Hey /biz/ do u have any good ideas to start a business with like 10K $
Yes, but I'm not gonna share them with you because you asked
>>1102997
10k is enough buy yourself a nice custom tailored suit, a haircut done by a professional stylist, and then a lease for a flashy car. Get those and you can easily mingle with high echelons of society where you can meet important people and offer them your overpriced blowjobs
>>1102997
>create/print greeting cards
>make deals with small standalone gas stations/convenience stores to let you sell them there
>put up a small standalone rack near checkout counter
>profit modestly
margins are great
can someone explain to me how kanye can be $50 million in debt? or is he just bullshitting on twitter.
>>1102480
>black guy that perpetuates literally every black stereotype
>wondering why he's in debt
Lavish lifestyle probably? I don't really know wtf his spending habits are or who's loaning him money.
>>1102480
He has 50 mill worth of debts. he owns much more than 50 mill in assets
so hes still extremely rich, but I'm pretty sure that it was from a failed business that he kept dumping money into
>tfw 190,000 in student debt
pls save me bernie
>i made retarded financial decisions, please take away my personal responsibility
>>1101521
Yo yo yo I got an idea bro check it out.
What if we just made the rich people pay for it. Tax the 1% richest people that way everyone can keep making these terrible decisions without repercussion.
Like dude, why hasn't anyone ever thought of this? Fuck politicians are dumb man.
>>1101521
yes
Where do you guys buy gold for investment purposes? I have found a few places selling it for only around 5% over spot but nothing cheaper.
>>1101434
I've very rarely seen gold at less than 5% above spot price. So don't count on finding a lot of it.
>>1101434
if youre in the UK just buy either sovereigns or Britannia coins because they are VAT and CGT free.
fuck premiums, you should have bought at the right time like i did. the best time to buy is ALWAYS when /biz/ is talking about bitcoin and when bloomberg is telling you to sell it
well. other than when gordon brown's selling it. that really is the best time to buy it
>>1101434
.just buy IAU or GLD
