I'm thinking about starting my own brand of wodka. I want to start out making a 100 bottles and then see where it will bring me. If everything fails I still have a 100 bottles of wodka. The idea is i'm going to buy 35 liters of pure alcohol and mix it with water. It will cost about 1 euro a bottle to make and I want to sell the bottles for about 20 euro's. Most of that 20 euro's will be taxes, but there still will be a massive profit. The target intended audience will mostly be hipsters and people who care about authentic and home-made smallscale products. Is there anyone here who has any experience with this kind of thing and cares to share some tips / advice?
great idea heil hitler

Where are from?
Where are you going to sell it?
Do you have money for permits or yolo?
Yeah vodka is purely marketing because there is no difference in taste typically due to to the distilling process..
Unless you have an exorbitant marketing budget and know how to execute it then I wouldn't bother.
>starting a brewery/cidery/meadery
Tell me why I shouldn't do this.
water in not cheap.
and I imagine that the price of water will go up once people start getting put into FEMA camps

Tap water is quite cheap where I live. I just need a filter and it should be fine.
It's starting to become difficult to separate yourself from the other small craft breweries. I sometimes feel like they're all making the same IPA. Also, there are obvious certifications and clearances to be had, since you're only allowed to brew like 100 gallons or so for yourself (and not to sell).
People do like to support homegrown things, though, so as long as you've got some decent branding people around you will drink it.
Why do people think home ownership is so important?
At my current rate of savings/investment I can retire a millionaire. If I'm a millionaire and have to spend £10k per year or whatever on rent - who cares? It's a pittance to a millionaire.
If instead I bought a house, that would have a huge opportunity cost because I'd have to take a lot of money out of my stock investments to pay the deposit, plus have less money to invest each month, at least for a couple of decades before the mortgage starts waning. And that whole time I would have less freedom to move if I want.
So what is the point of buying?
Most people don't see themselves getting that rich, so they look at a mortgage kind of like a savings account.
>Throughout history land ownership has been critically important
>Home equity is the best source of collateral for stable credit at a low interest rate
>Even a moron can determine that paying a mortgage for partial equity is sometimes better than just renting your whole life for no returns
Because not everyone is as big of a dumbass as you kiddo.
Did you actually run the numbers on this?
If you're a millionaire you don't need a mortgage.
You put $250,000 towards a house instead of stocks.
Let's look over a period of 5 years.
You save $50,000 from rent but lose a possible 7% * $250,000 < $50,000 in stocks.
Basic math disagrees with you.
How do into economics?
I know nothing about it at all and I'd like to learn
Are there any good texts or online guides?

Nocoiners are so desperate for this to fail

Desperate to see eth shills stop posting on /biz/ as much? I wouldnt call it desperation lol. Maybe "small interest" is the better way to say it.

How rational it is to buy now?
It just seems a big bubble right now.
Should i wait for a drop or not?
Already regret not buying last weekend.
You missed the drop last night around 22:00 GMT
Who knows where it will head now, it's sitting stable. I'm not sure it will go up or down or what is going on.
First time cryptofag checking in, was here for BTC but never actually got around to buying. Just set up Circle and wondering if it's worth buying around $250 now or waiting a bit
I'm selling. Fuck it. It's a pump and dump
I have an interview at PWC in a couple days. One of their typical question to ask is going to be what business story am I currently following and what/how can PWC benefit from it.
What business story would be the most appropriate to use?

Is anyone intereted in Korean?

I'd love to learn it but I seriously don't know where to start.
네, 그런데 여기에서 아니예요.
Just not here.
But you know how to get an internship or a job in the it/programming sector in Korea?
>>1127407
Use the Sogang or Yonsei books to help your learning. They come with audio and the resources you need. You can go to SK and pay for language courses, it is the best way, but expensive.
Anyone know how hard it is to open a biz in Korea? I have an idea that I want to try out. Don't need much capital and already have a friend who is interested who lives there. But the government is not always easy to deal with as a foreigner.
Efereum!!!! It will go up! Why haven't you got any?

Literally everyday i read an article on the business news about how AI automation will be so amazing, cut costs, increase productivity and will revolutionise the economy.
If people don't have jobs because of AI automation how are the fuck are they going to buy all the consumer shit to contribute to the economy?
>inb4 work hard and practice your firm handshake because an AI bot could be made to do that better than you

Is anyone else betting on the US political elections here?
Ive doubled what ive bet so far, making some pretty good profit.

>Society approaches a cashless society and TPTB sees Bitcoin as a massive problem

This is another fantastic Mike Hearn moment. If anyone wants to make some cash, buy Bitcoin's dip and wait for literally a couple of weeks and enjoy your gains.
If you are here for the long term and you aren't a casual, I guess you don't give a fuck and you are going to keep buying and holding (as any high IQ person would do)
Screencap me (I have been right every single time, but as I always say, your money your choice).
When Brian Armstrong whined about how wallet companies and whatnot are going to have to write extra code if they follow core's roadmap I laughed and stopped reading. It confirmed all my suspicions.

You sound like you know what you're talking about. What do you make of this ETH shit? Pump and dump or no?
I'm want to buy a cryptocoin with some spare money to hold for a long time, not be a bagholder. Which coins will still be useful as a currency say 5 to 10 years from now?
>>1127083
I'm getting really tired at these "I'm too lazy to go read and learn about this ethercuck fad so I'll just sit on my ass and ask other people to explain it to me".
You're missing the fuck out. Understand what the blockchain is and how it works and look at what ethereum is doing to it. Nuff said. Go do your own research. This isn't a pump and dump nor is it a get rich quick scheme unless you want to automate trading through an exchange.
i never like to tip. why should i give to someone who is already getting paid to do their job. but dont get me wrong the only times i tip are when i get good customer service. like the nice waiter/waitress at a restaurant or the delivery person who greeds me with a smile when delivering food.
but i hate it when i give someone a tip and dont even say thank you. i give them a dollar or 2 and they just walk away. that really triggers me. just the other day some scrub delivered pizza to my house and it was 15USD, i gave him a 20 dollar bill and he just stood there asking me if i wanted the change FUCK OUTTA HERE. i gave him 2 bucks and he gave a smug look on his face. this is why i dont tip.
Another thing is, do you guys tip whenever going to pick up things at a restraunt? I go to this pizza place, which they take me into the bar to pick up the food and the bartender looks at me like he wants a tip??
Fuck you bro haha
Tell them you're not going to tip them before ordering and see how that goes. They'll talk shit about you and everyone will think you're a cheap cunt, but if they still serve you well, then I think that's the ticket to a good tip. I mean I get it's the food industry, but I've been a waiter and in retail and the level of retarded/cheap people you have to deal with makes the money barely worth it half of the time. Just keep this in mind OP, you're basically admitting that you want to be a cheap nigger, which also don't believe in tipping.
>>1127103
For this you should only tip like a dollar per 20 bucks or something. Usually the bartender has to put everything together, while also handling making drinks, while also sometimes serving which is a lot to juggle in a busy place. Still, you're doing a majority of the work. It's just good to do if you frequent a place so that they don't hate you and spit in your shit.
