Why don't start up companies seem to appreciate any of their employees? You'd think it would be the exact opposite.

Two years ago I joined a start up gas and electric supplier as I thought it would be a great place to get recognised and get rewarded for hard work.

They don't seem to give a shit about anyone that works there, the salaries are very rigid with no room to negotiate. There's no point working harder as you wont be paid more so everyone in the company just does the bare minimum.

Last month I saved the company £1,500,000 ($2,134,425) and prevented the regulator from pulling our licence and I got a "well done". Do you know how much I get paid? A measly £18,000 ($25,000). At an established company I'd be earning £30,000 ($42,000). But unfortunately I can't go anywhere else as there's only 36 energy suppliers in the UK and you only need 1 of me in each one.

which supplier? what sort of work do you do?

I couldn't say which supplier as I could get in trouble. But it's one that's only been around a few years.

The work I do is one of a settlements analyst. But that job doesn't exist at my company even though I do it. So my actual job title is admin monkey.

I go through lists of accounts spat out by the regulator where errors have been detected, I fix the errors.

Hi /biz/,

I'm interested in connecting with other people who are interested in making money through different business ventures / investments. I know this is basically "everyone" on this board, but I want to try and develop a "core" group of people who are relatively intelligent and educated on different forms and disciplines of investment and just chat with each other about different ideas and ways to make money.

I want to reduce the amount of people who are very low on cash and are interested in "get rich quick" type schemes or NEET ventures.

My skype is " durstep " if you want to add me; we can start with a little about each other and just go from there. I'm not trying to start a constant group chat where every day people are harassing you for new ideas, etc. I just want a network of well informed people that we can each go to when we want a different view on a particular subject.

Thanks

I only bother posting this because there are a lot of informed people and it seems like wading through the shit and people who think that investment / business is just a choice you make and suddenly you're rich can be tiring.

I have personal experience in precious metals, cryptocurrency and traditional stock trading (all of these I have over $10,000 invested in) as well as buying and reselling products (mostly off of craigslist) for a profit.

I'm a pretty normal guy; luckier than some with the way some of my life events have gone, but I feel that I could offer some insight for people who maybe are just getting started or aren't sure how to do more basic stuff.

I'm looking for someone who is more into options/forex trading to maybe explain it a little better to me. I'm interested in margin trading, but haven't met anyone personally that has any experience in it.

Hope to hear from any of you guys!

Hey /biz/, I can't past general education courses at community college and my knees and shoulders are busted from lifting in my teens and I have no health insurance. And I work a dead end job in a kitchen to try and get by. My mother is ashamed, and my dad is dead. What do I do?

Kill your dad
>>
study harder and pass your fucking classes and get a decent wagecuck job, or go hustle and build some shit, or go scam on suckers. go make your dad proud that his son is being a man and providing and taking care of your mom and yourself.

the last thing you should do is feel sad for yourself and use your dead dad as an excuse. pathetic.
>>
Go for jobs like welding and construction if your body can handle it. If not, try to get into retail or something not as shitty as kitchen work.

I'm lost. I want to be an entrepreneur, I want an online business and I want to be an expert at something and make a living off of my passion, but I'm 100% lost. I just can't seem to find the thing that I'm passionate about, the thing that's gonna make me want to stay up late and wake up early eager to work on.

I've overcame a lot for a past few months. I used to be a drug addict and would blow money on useless things until I experienced a sort of realization or awakening moment. I decided I don't want to be poor, I hate work, I hate waking up knowing I'm heading to go work at something I'm not into, making my boss happy while I'm here literally wasting my youth.

I'm not here to blog about my life or anything, I just want someone to show me how I can find that "thing". I've been depressed as hell lately because I just need an idea. That idea would make me go to work happy and actually have a real incentive to work at a shitty job other than money, which isn't important to me. I need that idea so I can work hard to achieve it.

TL;DR
How can I find what I'm passionate about? I'm inexperienced in almost everything, and i have trouble finding what I should focus 100% my time and energy on and develop that skill

Is there even a way of earning a lot of money these days legally that isn't pretty much entirely luck or pinching every penny for 50 years like a Jew to finally retire with a million and die from a heart attack next week?

Is the only true way to become /biz/ to do illegal shit? Everything else literally dooms you to a life of poorfaggotry.

I know nothing about the stock market, but would like to throw a few hundred at it. Will I be able to make a few bucks right away? It seems pretty accessible thru etrade and such. Tips plz?

Are you want to risk for big gains or just make a few bucks? You could throw it on pink slip stocks and double that shit but possibly lose it all or you can be a pussy and invest in a blue chip and forget about it for a few years and you might make a few 100.

It really depends on how stupid/ballsy you are when it comes to risk.

What part of the stock graph tells owners of this share how much money they earn at the end of the day

what do you even mean by "earn"?

the current price of the stock is visible at the top left, you compare that number with the price at which you bought to know if you made profit.
>>
>>1172240
>what do you even mean by earn
How much money does the owner get to put in his pocket you classic faggot.

Are you some kind of ultra retard?

Subtract the price you bought it at from current market price and that's your prifit

Hey /biz/. If one doesn't care to live much longer, what are some risky but profitable routes to pursue? Sort of like I'm probably going to die soon, but leaving my family some money would be a nice gesture.

I've heard of taking out a massive amount of student loans, then putting it all on black in Vegas.

Anything else /biz/ would recommend?

I was going to ask /pol/ about this one, but i felt this board would be more knowledgeable on the situation.

Do you really need to go to college to be successful in life?
I hear all the time about people in their 20's and early 30's making lot's of money with just a G.E.D. and some initiative.

>I hear all the time about people in their 20's and early 30's making lot's of money with just a G.E.D. and some initiative.

That's because you don't hear about the ones that fail, or work minimum wage well into their 40's.
>>
>>1171953
This. College is meant for people who were gonna succeed regardless. Do a trade job if yourw uncertain so you aont waste taxpayer money for subsidized loans that you'll eventually default on if you major is horse manure studies. If you believe in yourself then go! Study aomething that will make you an asset and that can be suplemented on with certifications etc. If you go the b.a. route you abso fucking lutely havd to do additional things outside of school if you want a livable wage. Also make friends with professors just in case you need letters of rec. Usually you can just check theit website or c.v. and just chat about current events that pertain to their interest. Really strokes their ego since the majority of students treat college like high school and not an academic institution.
