Why does society hate single people that make an honest living with a moderate income?
>Make $103k
>Get $38k withheld in taxes
>Another $2500 in insurance premiums
>Another $1300 in union dues
>Can't deduct interest paid on student loans because I make too much
>Don't have children, wife, or property to make massive deductions on
>Get screwed into paying $55 for premium turbo tax because I paid foreign tax on my company's stock even though I'm just taking the standard $6300 deduction
>Getting less than $2k back in my refund
Fuck all this shit. Fuck all these people shitting out kids and getting all the damn tax breaks and sucking off the government teat. Fuck Warren Buffett too, because I'm going to get ass raped whenever I sell my stock.

Because the degenerates who constantly breed and shit out kids need someone to hate. They can't plan for the future, and weigh the consequences of their actions and then wonder why they never have any money.
> 2K Back on Refund
You're filing your return wrong, buddo.
so i just buy loads of bitcoins and invest in every coin /biz/ shills then i always end up ahead. how is this? im up to over 40 btc worth of shitcoins now spread out in the vast cryptoconomy market
Invest at least 0.1 BTC in every altcoins with very low volume.
Then set sell order at 1000% profit.
That's it! 99% guaranteed profit.
Just saw exe coin pumped to 3000% today, so if you have 0.01 and set sell order at 1000%, then you will have 1BTC.
Forget this shit for a month or two then you can double or triple your initial investment.
Sell any other altcoins which doesnt net you any profit.
I've been doing this and trust me this is the easiest money making method that I know so far.

Anybody here make it big by making quality videos and becoming a successful youtuber? Some questions:
1. What video editing software is everybody using nowadays? People like CGP Grey, vsauce, etc. I work really well with Sony Vegas so far but I'm ready to move on to newer and better programs.
2. Is it still viable? I see a lot of popular channels with videos that don't look too difficult to make but getting your channel out there in the first place seems like a luck of the draw thing.
I use adobe premiere but most people use sony vegas and it works fine for them. I just started my channel yesterday and my first video got around 110 views. You really have to tweet and post on reddit or you wont get any views when you are first starting.
>>1172188
is it viable? of course it's viable. don't listen to retards telling you 'that ship has sailed' or 'youtube is oversaturated'. it's just a tool, a platform. if you create value and make sure your target audience finds you (like anon said reddit and social media are a must to present your brand), you will succeed in youtube.
i've seen channels pop up and flourish and eventually reach the 150k subscriber mark all the time. persistance is a huge part of the recipe it seems. to give you examples i've seen 'grade a under' and 'nerdwriter' go from absolute nobodies to the professional youtubers they are now. they are not pewdiepies, but they are very much established and no doubt get some good $$$ from youtubing.
so it's as worth it as you make it out to be. you have to bring the content and value, and you have to find your audience. youtube is only the medium.
Is it feasible to buy a small apartment for 40k, rent it out for 400 a month. Use that money to pay off the mortgage.
8 years later you own a 40k(+) apartment outright, with a passive income of 400 a month.
>>1171974
why wouldn't this be feasible?
>>1171983
Seems too good to be true, especially in the UK.
remember costs
alright /biz/ let's talk about the comming recession.
>who's causing it?
>how can we profit off this?
>when do you thing it will hit?
No-one really knows when it'll hit. Honestly, though, I think that a slow grind is in the future of all economies as massive societal and tech changes are absorbed going forward.
The main thing is to have a planned response if the markets drop.

>>1171753
>who's causing it?
well the short answer is the market correcting the fed
you can't rape it long term
>how can we profit off this?
in deflation cash is king
>when do you thing it will hit?
in 2 years, at first some asset prices shoot to the sky then more money printing some inflation then deflation eventually asset prices come down and then you can buy.
question is it will be a big bang or just a long whimper and hyperinflation?
or maybe i'm oversimplifying it. one thing is for sure the rich will get richer and we all get fucked.

I'm trying to think of an items/class of items I'd like to get into selling on eBay. Any ideas?
I lift and I play chess. I also like bicycles sorta. I don't care what I sell as long as it's not sex toys or something else equally retarded. I wanna make just a few bucks to start.
The moderately-high margin (20%) consumer electronics market is a good bet.
On a serious note, you have to find items and work the numbers.
Find items on eBay that are hot sellers by clicking the "xxx sold" link on Buy It Now auctions. Example: http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&item=262148853102&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2564
In March, 26 shirts were sold at $10.89 + $2.60 shipping, for a monthly revenue of $350.74 for that item.
What price would you need to purchase a comparable item for for it to be worth your time, assuming the same sales volume (a shaky assumption; this requires good judgement)?
Calculate all your costs except the purchase price, then subtract them from the sale price to get your profit + purchase price amount. It's $9.14 in pic related. So if you spent $9.14 per unit purchasing the product, you'd break even.
Now look for comparables on Alibaba and ask for price quotes. Say you find a comp for $5 per unit, minimum order quantity of 100, and inbound shipping charge of $60. Thats $5.60 per unit purchase price.
$9.14 - $5.60 = $3.54 net profit before income taxes.
$3.54 * 26 shirts per month = $92/month net profit
Now, how much money would you have to have tied up in inventory of items with similar numbers to this to generate, say, $10,000 per year?
Your purchase of 100 of these shirts is about a 4-month supply of shirts. Say you re-order at the end of month 3. You laid out $560 for the first order and $560 and the end of month three, and $560 every four months thereafter. Whether or not you actually reorder this specific shirt is irrelevant because we're talking about a class of items with similar numbers as I laid out.
At the end of month 3 you have 1/4 of your original inventory on hand, or $140. And, you wire $560 to your chinese supplier on the same day, for a total of $700 tied up in inventory. Your inventory goes from $700 back down to $140 in four months from today, for an average inventory level of ($700+140)/2=$420.
(continued)
>>1171555
(continued from above)
You you need an average of $420 and a maximum of $700 tied up in inventory to generate $92/month=$1104/year net profit. You want $10,000 per year, so $10,000/$1104=9.
9*$700 = $6300 max tied up in inventory for $10k/year profit (This is not realistic if you have multiple items you're restocking; it will be somewhat higher in reality.)
9*$420 = $3780 average tied up in inventory for $10k/year profit
That is for items with 71% net-profit-to-purchase-cost ratio (pretty high) and a similar turnover (or higher per-item net profit and proportionally lower turnover).
Hello Biz! The Russian government is giving out free land. In an attempt to boost the economy of far east Russia ( pic related) every Russian citizen is eligible for one hectare of land (2.4 acres) in the far east of Russia. It is free of charge, tax free the first 5 years but it will go back to the government if nothing is done with it in 5 years. If any project is fulfilled it becomes yours after 5 years. Its possible to build a house there, engage in agriculture or anything really. Moreover, it is possible to enter a cooperative with any number of people and get a plot of land communally. So It is technically possible to find 100 homeless people and ask them to sign a few documents for a bottle of vodka. Lets say I have 10 hectares of land. or a 100. How is it possible to monetise it? What would you do if you had a bunch of land in east Russia? Should I go for it? the government website in Russian:http://xn--80aaggvgieoeoa2bo7l.xn--p1ai/

> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, am I being jewed?
No, that would actually be illegal. Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.
> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
thinkorswim is bretty gud if you want to go open a second account with real broker.
Otherwise you should be using Yahoo/Google finance or even Stocktwits for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

Unless you're living in a place for a long time, or find a real good deal on mortgage, renting + low fee Vanguard is the way to go.

In the UK, they are introducing an ISA where you can put in up to 4k a year and the government gives a 25% bonus.
The only stipulation is that you have to use it to pay for a house deposit or wait until 65 to withdraw it, or else you lose the bonus and any interest accrued.
Would it be best to max out the ISA and then put any other savings in a low fee vanguard?
