Are americans overpaid?
I have alot of female friends who literally can sweet talk you and thats it. That is their entire skill set- to be charming. That is all they can do. They cant do complex math, they cant be clairvoyant they basically cant do shit. And these girls all make at least 70k a year.
Its not just girls but u get the point.

I'm spending the next few months trying to save up money so I can invest in something. I like to idea of starting my own business or putting my money into something else that will net me returns.

However, I've been hearing a lot about how you can easily find investors and get loans for this. I'm wondering if the time I'm currently spending saving up money working could be better used learning a skill or working on a business plan. Or regardless is it always good to have some money saved up? I started with $500 and I'm aiming to get about $7000 before I cut down the hours and start thinking about what I can do with the money.

Does this ever happen or am I looking too deep into it?
So I am on verge of promotion and bosses boss took an extra interest in me the last month.
Slowly though has gotten fucking vicious and hostile. Any time I showed weakness he pushed harder and got more vicious. Finally I had enough after working twelve hours he does a total 180 on work he approved before. So then I rage quit.

So I'm wondering. Was this all a test to see if I could handle the pressure? Do bosses do this shit ?
But then WTF how the hell much can someone be expected to take?

I have just turned 18 and from Istanbul, Turkey. I am still a high school junior right now, but the senior year is too close.

I am planning to move to NYC and go to university there, but I haven't prepared for it and don't know what to do, literally nothing. It is just an idea right now.

My plan is to move to NYC, go to a university there (for free if possible) and while doing those, I'll be doing ventures etc, since I'm a very entrepreneurial person.

Can you guide me, give me tips or anything /biz/? Thanks!

So I'm graduating highschool next month and while most of my friends are going to college, I plan on starting my own business by next year. I never agreed with the way formal education was set up with so many flaws in today's educational system which I can go on and on about. Most people I assume go to college to take the safe road in life because they think a piece of fancy paper will give them job security for life with benefits. (Which is funny to me because many college students don't even have a job lined up after graduation( not to mention the shit ton of debt they'll be paying till they're 40. School is designed to create employees. They tell us "get a 4.0, go to college, study, and everything's going to be alright". That's why people say "go to school to get a good job". I don't like the idea of someone dictating my life telling me how much I will get paid for this many hours living paycheck to paycheck, doing the same task every day. It's like people are robots no wonder people get tired of their lives. but they tolerate it because well someone has to pay the bills. Most people want to be wealthy, but don't want to put the effort in like i am. They make the mistake of working for money rather than working to create assets which will later make money work for you. I'm willing to sacrifice a lot and go through hell where most people won't go, to later live the life that everyone wants. but I don't want to pay thousands of dollars so I can take pointless classes I don't need then read a lot of words on how to create a business. Wouldn't it be better to get out there and start and find mentors while learning along the way? I prefer to be self educated. I read a lot and nowadays with the internet, you can literally learn the same things in one year than in four years at college for FREE. Obviously you need college to be a doctor or lawyer etc. however most things I believe can be self taught. My goal is to be a millionaire entrepreneur and investor before 30.

1) Offer advice to an 18 year old on how to not fuck up financially in the long run. Now I said not fuck up not how to become a gazillionare... ETH etc..

2) I have $13,000 in capital and $2,000 of CDS with 8 more years until maturity. How would you diversify the $13,000 to get the most growth over idk 40 years.

I am running a multi million dollar business. I have been doing this for over a year, and a half since my older brother quit. My father, and mother are both owners of the business, but are drug addicts, and my father has a number of health problems making him incapable of handling anything as strenuous as running a cash register standing up for more than 30 minutes. My mother is a little better, but her frequent paranoia, and panic attacks make staffing problematic for her. She has despite not being involved in the daily operation of the business developed a habit of showing up twice a month to make a employee quit, of fire them for no particular reason. Typically from my 1st string. Leaving me with mostly potheads, and dropouts as staff, and constantly needing more workers. My father enjoys using his less than a hour of energy to break things in his frustration of no longer understanding them, or attempt to lecture me on the disadvantages of using the veder route (A system that monitors our volume, and has safety functions.) or, the uselessness of paying 200 dollars for a time clock "because you barely have anyone working here" . At the time of opening we have a gas pumper, and one cashier, then by 8 we have two cashiers, by ten we have a chief, by 12 we have a ice cream attendant that also functions as a chief, and by four we have two ice cream attendants. We have nine employees punching in, and out in a typical day at one location, we have two locations. My brother, well I kicked him out for stealing from our parents. He has been bumming off my grandparents for over a year, and a half now.

My parents have no will, and when they die the government will liquidate their assets, undoing all my hard work for 10% market value, then give 50% to my brother, or give him the company outright if he can establish next of kin rights, which is unlikely.
So, this is a thing, I guess.
What should I do, /biz/?

An associate of mine wants to do some "legally gray area" business on eBay that's EXTREMELY lucratively but is worried about getting in trouble. Basically, he wants to know how to use eBay and PayPal in such a way that'll minimize his liabilities as much as possible. So far, he has learned a little bit about VPNs from a friend of his but hasn't actually used one while conducting business.
