How's that Patreon going, /biz/?
You should have been in on this ride since 2011 if you wanted to get rich. I'm not when people are are going to stop throwing their money at random shit or if they're going to throw even more money by 2020.

Had a great second interview at an investment bank in London.
> 70 - 100k for project support role.
I only got an interview by pestering someone on LinkedIn. They stated it takes a month to decide and they have had over 400 external applications.
If I make it, I'll be so damn happy. Oh, I'm 27 with a Bsc and have worked in engineering thus far.
>>1258464
Yet another engineer that saw the light of financial services. Welcome aboard (hopefully)!
Pro-tip: save those fucking bonuses man
how exactly did you "pester" them.. or even find them for that matter, also will you be living in or outside of london
OP here.
I saw a VP at an investment bank create a status about creating a new team. I messaged and stated if he needed PMO support, to let me know and a few months later, I was invited to interview. I have tried to get interviews previously by applying conventionally for roles but always get rejected.
I am praying to get this.
I will live outside of London but work in central.
How do I fix fake reviews
So I've recently been given control of a family business that is not doing so well
The problem is that the company has a lot of negative reviews on Google+ and other social media sites. Some of it is because of competitors and some of it is because a family member, not employed, just the same last name, went into a drunken coke rage and pissed off a bunch of SJWs on social media
I emailed all of these sites and explained it to them and I never received any replies.
Are there any alternatives I can do to at least get rid of the Google+ reviews.
Would burying them in hundreds of fake sock puppet accounts work?
>>1258441
Don't do anything.
Explaining makes you look guilty and faking it makes you look untrustworthy.
Just do a good job and good reviews will happen naturally.
>>1258443
Thank you for replying.
This has got me so stressed out that it is constantly on my mind.
I already reported all the fake reviews to Google.
The business has no real social media presence, because it was run by my parents and grandparents, none of which can use a computer.
We don't even have a facebook page, but there are a lot of fake reviews there if you search our name.
Some of it is just flat out retarded, like we are part of the KKK, we are neo nazis, we support women being raped, are violent against women, racist, ect. You know, the typical SJW playbook.
Absolutely none of these reviews have anything to do with our services, because obviously none of these people have ever contacted us for work.

You can buy the things you want and need with money.
You can pay off debt and go on vacation (experience new things) with money.
Money can/will help you get with beautiful women (at least some financial success is obligatory).
Lastly, money can help you save time by getting your necessities earlier.
I kind of wish money wasn't this essential.
>>1258274
Well money is essential. Wishing will do nothing to change that.
Best thing to do is live cheap and enjoy your time.
>>1258274
I heard money is like a "prayer" but it's an evil prayer. It moves things similar to how a prayer does.
Its not about money you idiot. Money is just the medium of human desire and value exchange. The more value you provide to others the more wealth you'll have. Money is just the medium of exchange. Never get that confused.

So this is sort of (ok, mostly) a brag post, but I just checked Mint and noticed that I finally cracked $100,000 net worth! What's more, it happened exactly five years after I started getting serious and tracking my finances. This is kind of a milestone for me, because I didn't come from a rich family, and I started out with thousands in student loans (though not as bad as some folks) and very little assets (the starting $1,500 was my guess of what my crappy car was worth).
There isn't any magic secret here, but if you just keep saving / investing, you will see growth over time. A few tips, most of which are pretty much standard advice in /r/personalfinance:
Wherever possible, set up automatic savings, so it comes out of your paycheck and you never have the chance to see that money and spend it. I can't stress how key this is for me. I try to set it up so I always feel "poor" in that after I pay all the bills, my checking account balance is a little bit tight. It encourages me not to waste money on nonsense, and if I have to transfer from savings for a big purchase, it makes me stop and think about it more.
Invest in low-cost index funds. If you're unsure where to get started, check out the resources in the sidebar, or the Bogleheads wiki. If you're totally clueless, the Vanguard Target Date Funds are a very sensible and easy place to put your money for now, while you learn more about investing.
Change jobs to get raises. Maybe in the olden days you could stay put at one company and get promoted with a big raise, but I've found my good raises come when I move companies. I usually stay at one place long enough to learn some new things and take on more responsibility with a fancier title, and then I use that as leverage to get a new job with pay fitting the title. I started out working in a callcenter answering tech support calls for $33k/year, and I'm now a software engineer making $75k.

nobody will buy fucking weed if it ever gets legal, we'll all grow it. you don't need a tobbaco farm to enjoy a bit of sativa at home.
dude why buy weed stocks when you can just buy weed lmaoo

Questions that don't deserve their own thread:
1_How do rich people protect their liquid money from inflation?
2_Is it a bad idea to be blunt and 100% honest in a job interview?
Gold.
Depends if there is nothing postative you could lie about.
>>1257889
2. In most cases, yes. When a company invites you to an interview they want to see what your personality is like. It's kinda like when you date a girl for the first time. Both expect several things from you. You ought to be confident and 100% sure about all the things you think and do. Thus, too much honesty will make you look weak or in some way flawed. It's sad but both companies and chicks kind of want you to bs them a little.
How can I stay overly confident without making people think im arrogant?
How do you self-employed /biz/raelis rationalize getting cucked out of almost half your earnings each year? I try, but I just can't do it. For the past few years, I've teetered on what could easily be a very lucrative business, and each time I start earning serious money, I end up backing out because I just can't stand the principal of it.
Do any of you actually believe you'll see a dime of that Social Security? How does it feel knowing you're helping Treyquan buy his new Jordan's? What about funding the police state? Importing thousands/millions of undocumented """refugees"""? Subsidizing illegals that the government literally refuses to deport, and instead gives debit cards and housing vouchers to? The list goes on ad infinitum, but you get the point.
I feel so much better as a man, just living off the land and doing odd jobs under the table -- there's just no value in trying to contribute to broader society anymore. The productive get increasingly shit on while hoards of mouth-breathing parasites multiply like rabbits and run the cities and towns your forefathers built into the ground.
There's also no incentive to raise a family, either. What sort of prospect does the current system provide a man, not a """man""", but an actual man? Marry a whore, lose your kids, lose your house, die at 53 in a shitty motel room because Treyquan couldn't hit JaMarcus with his Hi-point?
The only option, insofar as I can see it, is to simply not play the game.

Owning a business is the opposite of passive. It takes a lot of work to get a business off the ground
What is a simple way to get a trickle of online income, about $5 a day?
I'm slowly building a marketing platform, but that's high quality work for a potentially high payout. It requires patience, and I have it.
But I'd also like low pay for low quality work that doesn't require much patience. I'm keeping the two separate, and I'll eventually junk the low quality one, but in the meantime I need some pocket money.
I'll tell you in exchange for 85% of the proceeds of your major platform considering you'll be bootstrapping with funds you've earned from what I've taught you.
Why does it have to be online income?
It would probably be easier to just get a rental property if you want a bit of extra income
