I don't think you realize the feeling every rational person feels over your religion.
How does it feel to blindly follow the fantasy of a mass murdering pedophile?

Kill yourself, with no survivors.
As aspiring entrepreneurs (E4) what do you think about the 13 step ladder model of American Social-Class?
Tell me more about this magical ladder model OP
>>1262481
Yes. What is this ladder

Getting ready to sell ASAP and buy back in with half of the earnings

>>1262536
Is it too late to buy? Do i just buy it through etrade?
Is pizza delivery a decent job? Doesn't seem hard to drive around delivery pizzas all summer
>>1262074
If you can get a good area that's small with a car with good gas mileage, and you aren't a sperg, you can make up to 30/hr
then you also might be able to not report that you're getting 30/hr but a minimum set, usually $2 per hour, getting a bigger paycheck.
then you also might not have to report your total income to the government (this is very rampant) and would be eligible for negative tax income or whatever its called and be able to get on welfare, effectively making more than most people you're delivering to.
you can also use this against anyone that tries to belittle your for doing your job. just ask them how much they make and then tell them how much you make. if they call in and complain, just deny it.
it can be a dangerous job, as you're always driving, and you're walking around at night trying to find an apartment with some hood rats trying to give you trouble. (always carry a gun, but never let the store know of this) people will try to hit you with their car if they know you're a delivery driver. then you have the fake orders where you're going to a house that's not expecting you, greeting you with a shotgun. then you have the perverts and the freaks to deal with.
then the other drivers. if you make more than them, and they find out, some won't hesitate to try to kill you. ive had someone attempt to poison me and try to run me over when getting back to the store. they will steal your orders, fuck your orders up, try to rat you out to management and whatnot. just make sure the customers leave a good comment on your delivery to hedge against any bullshit.
also aim for management, higher than general. the district manager will either laugh at you or he'll take you serious, which then you'll have a much better time.

My friend delivered in rich neighborhood and got tipped really nice.

How much do I have to save a month for 10 years with compound interest to become a billionaire? What are possible interest rates and who's dick do I have to suck to get them?
Millions every month? I think of you had that sort of income you would know that the only way you become a billionaire is by investing in a particular company and then having the good fortune for that to be bought up/become the next greatest thing itself. This is dumb
>>1261846
If you were able to steadily get a 1% return every month you would only need to save 4,347,094.84
a month to have a billion at the end of 120 months.
I was looking into being an accountant and pretty much you have to start off in public accounting (which with the long hours and hell during tax week sound horrible), and relatively low pay I am getting second thoughts.
Should I switch out if I don't want to go the Public route bc I would like to be a private accountant but that pays close to nothing. I am looking into MIS right now. Any suggestions?
>>1261795
Im doing accounting too at the moment. Only a sophomore. No idea if it is right or wrong.
From what i hear though MIS is much worse basically a watered down business degree that seems techy but you dont learn any real hard skills
>>1262724
I feel that it depends on school to school. At my school, one professor said 97% of seniors have atleast 1 job offer before graduating and 90% have multiple.
I do not know how good the jobs are and the degree is considered pretty decent at my school as I believe we are top 20 ranked
If you don't know someone in the big 4 then you will not get a job there.
Hey /biz/, I'm interested in getting into investing but I don't have much to start with, I'm willing to lose maybe $100 on some bullshit I don't fully understand right now. I work as a data analyst and know a lot about the tech industry so would like to invest in companies I'm familiar with, but a lot of these companies' stock is worth more than $100.
Is there a way I can invest in companies like GOOGL for small dollar smounts?
Also, have you guys ever heard of Acorns? It looks great for a small change chump like me, but I'd appreciate a more educated opinion. https://www.acorns.com/
>>1261725
Acorns looks neat, I might try them out. Thanks anon. I'm a broke econ student though so can't help you much with investing
Buy ethereum

Fuck ethereum. Ya I said it.
I currently live in Toronto, Canada as a student with my mother and I am currently debating if I should stay here or move to San Jose, California.
Apparently, the job that I'm going for here in Toronto starts off at 58k CAD which is 44k USD. If I were to get hired as the same job in San Jose, they start off at 84k USD which is 110k CAD.
It would take me literally 6 years to get up to that salary in Toronto when I start at 100k CAD in San Jose.
Though after a little bit of comparing, the cost of living in San Jose is a little bit (27%) more expensive than in Toronto. But to argue you're making much more money and the Canadian dollar is 0.76 to the American dollar.
Is it worth moving for a better possible quality of life?

No thanks.
>>1261592
Hey man, you could get to see some nice Latinas!
>>1261567
Do you have burger citizenship?
Do you have the income required to move?
Moving for better gains is always a good idea, if you can afford it and understand the risks. Canada, especially Ontario, is a sinking ship. Brain drain will be back with a vengeance once Trump gets into office. If you can move safely then move. Look into other places outside commiefornia and see if you can find better returns
Why is it so hard to get a developer job if you don't have a fleshed out portfolio?
I have fundamental knowledge of undergrad algorithms, know how to code in multiple languages, but I can't even land a freelance job because I don't have the attention span to develop a project past a week.
What could I do about it? I work best when there's someone telling me I have shit to do. It's so hard to motivate myself to finish my own projects.
>>1261521
Honestly, how can you code if you never coded up some projects?
>>1261523
I have coded projects before, it's just that most of my shit is not something you can put on a resume or market.
That's what internships are for.
I made a website related to Counter Strike Global Offensive trading.
It cost 2500 euros to develop and I paid 1600 euros for 1 month of advertising. I'm predicting that by the end of that 1 month I'll have made 2000 euros

Sup, /biz/.
I posted here a few weeks back asking about consumer staples. I was doing some research on which ETFs to put my money into, and historically consumer staples have significantly outperformed the S&P.
I've since read a bunch more, always about how the sector yields a greater return with less volatility. There are dozens of blogs, articles (both newspaper and scholarly), and reports gushing about the positives.
Information on the negatives are harder to track down. There are periods where the sector does not outperform the broader market (most of the 90s, for instance), but the resistance to troughs allows it to catch up. Looking at the historical graph, however, I notice a particularly large dip between 1999-2000, while the broader market performed well.
This is a long-winded way of asking: what happened to consumer staples in 1999-2000? I'm still trying to find reasons why I shouldn't focus most of my portfolio in consumer staples.
>>1260064
Could be because tobacco is a consumer staple. Check out the charts for some of the big tobacco companies.
>>1260069
Damn, what happened? New regulation? Crop failure?
>>1260071
I'm not sure what happened but afaik for at least a century tobacco has outperformed the market by a lot.
I'm a near-NEET who knows and cares very little about money. However, I just came across $20,000 that I don't have an immediate use for (I don't need it to eat, anyway), and want to put it somewhere stress-free but earning a bit of interest. Bank accounts offer .01% interest, so pretty out of the question.
After the recent hubbub with Lending Club, is it a really good or really bad time to put some of the money into it? How would it compare to other companies like Prosper or Upstart? Without going too risky on any of those platforms I'd still have a way better return than keeping the money in the bank. What's the downside?
Also, p2p lending general.
>>1259350
You can lend me the money OP. I will pay off the loan with my monthly autismbux check. The money will be used to pay for advertising for a business that I'm building.

a few days on /o/ there were a couple saying how gitty they get about the people they lock in at 8 years 25% APR
kind of hard to imagine, yet it still feels like there are people out there that get cucked like that
>Be shopping for used car

>go to car dealership one day
>car I want has been there 6 mo
clearly not moving
>walk around, salesman sees me
>tell him just looking
>nah thanks though...ill find you when I'm ready
>come back on last weekend of month
>same guy is there
>I go to him
>ask about specific car
>15k
>I beat around the bush an play not interested
> I leave and go eat some food and come back 2 hrs till closing.
>Same guy still there
>test drive the car
>seem disinterested
>offer him 8 cash
>WOAH OWAH OWAHHHH BUDDY
>raises me to 14

Car had been sitting for 6 months , clearly the dealership wasn't going to sell it at all.
