Alright so Iv got a great business idea & I need a partner/investor.
Here's the plan:
Jewish nightclub/bar.... We call it "Bar Mitzvah"
Obviously we would do some stupid first drink is free or something to get their cheep asses in, but once they are in we have them hooked.
>>1275013
>bviously we would do some stupid first drink is free or something to get their cheep asses in, but once they are in we have them hooked.
>>>Trying to out-jew the Jews
Lmao, your club will shut-down within a month. Remember the customer base you're working with here.
>>1275013
How will you pay the gas bill?
ebin :---DDD
.
/biz/life
being a /biz/iollionaire means being 80k in debt and taking business advice and trading advice from shitposters trying to screw you over
>>1275369
Actually it's the OG /biz/ crew from yonder
The shitposters have ruined /biz/ but some of the originals still remain
I'm living at home with parents and spending basically none of my paycheck each month.
I don't feel like moving out right now because after rent, food and bills I'd only be saving about 100 or so a month and I'd be living in a shitty apartment.
I want to invest in stocks but have no idea where to begin.
Which site's should I use (in the UK) and what should I buy?
>>1274958
>hey /biz/, I want to rich. wat do?
>>1274983
Not really rich, just rich enough to possibly buy a nice car a year from now or something.
>>1274987
ok. how much do you have saved now? how much is the car you want? exactly when do you want to buy that car? that's the percent return you'll need per year.
also i'm pretty sure UK fucks you hard with taxes. so that calculation will have to be part of your cost basis.
regarding brokers, if you're too lazy to google that shit you're too stupid to "invest".
What does it mean when someone says they are "self-made?"
>>1274922
It means in a test tube.
>>1274922
when I look at stuff like this I just want to leave this place forever.
I'm afraid that I'll end up the same in a few years.
I need some recommendations on things to read for starting a buisness, keep in mind I have investors that would pay to support me if I can get a few things right, such as a good location for my store, a good idea for the store. If you have to ask, it's a vape cafe/hangout place/lounge, but I won't go further than that.
I have a basic outline of what needs to be done and I believe it can work if I do it right, I already have someone to guide me through the way, but my vision of what needs to be done step by step isn't clear enough if you understand my point, I don't know the world of business, so I want a better understanding of it.
>>1274896
>vape cafe/hangout place/lounge
>I don't know the world of business
obviously!
this is just too... idk whether to laugh at your idiocy or cry for the fact that you are part of society.
>>1274896
I'm an eliquid contract packager
You clearly have little understanding of the vape market, otherwise you would realize this is the worst time to open a shop.
The fda just announced regs that will put 99.9% of eliquid and device manufacturers out of business- it goes in effect in roughly 2 years time.
>such as a good location for my store, a good idea for the store. If you have to ask, it's a vape cafe/hangout place/lounge, but I won't go further than that
>good idea for the store
you won't go further into that because you don't have anything to go into
>>1275214
and this includes online sales? that's really a shame because that's the only business I can think of. wow
link to your site?
So why haven't you bought TrumpCoin yet Anon?
>MarketCap to hit 1MM by election.
>Immune to pump and dump because Trump zealots will hold until election
>Inb4 memecoin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greater_fool_theory
LISK shill will try and slide this while secretly buying Trump! Don't be fooled! Pathetic!
I think this board should have a name change. This has got out of hand.
>not realizing a vast majority of all the altcoins are made by the same group of people
>non-jokingly putting money into a digital token with no connection to Trump besides the name for it
This is an 18+ website, please leave.
>>1274876
people leaving lisk/dao/etherum/waves, trump is skyrocketing soon
feelsgoodman
>>1274888
>Any money is worth more than whatever people believe it's worth.
Nice try LISK shill. If you bought trump coins a week ago you could dump them all now for a tidy 30% profit, and the price of Trumpcoin wouldn't even change because it's holders and strong fisted.
The only reason Trumpcoins get so much hate here is because we're trying to help everyone on /biz/ profit, instead of being greedy jews and trying to pump and dump.
What online stock broker do you use?
>>1274620
interactive brokers
>>1274626
only option really for any UK anons who want to trade equities short term as they're the only decent CFD provider for retail clients (UK has crappy stamp duty laws so CFDs are essentail for trading equities)
access to a wide range of markets, API too which while it isn't really suitable for any garageband-esq attempt HFT is still reasonable enough for short-ish term systematic trading and grabbing data from which to build models/trading systmes
German fag here. Am with comdirect which is a sub of commerzbank. Quite popular here but horrendeous fees. Example: when i go all in with about 35k this is about 60 euro, makes 120 euro for the round trip. Looking for alternatives...
IB is nice but not sound when operating mainly in DAX stocks.
>Found a job
>Got hired
>Gave them my documents that they needed to photocopy for some reason for their records
>Didn't fill out of any forms yet
>Suppose to start but manager keeps delaying it and not giving me too much information, pretty thoroughly confused
>Not even sure if I got the job or not, seems like I have but I'm getting so little information that it's as if i didn't get hired
>Keeps saying he'll call me and get it all sorted everytime I call him and ask
>Literally not hearing back from him
What the hell do I do guys? I'm just so confused. I don't want to keep annoying him because it's making me look kind of weird to keep asking and pretty much pulling him along but I just dont understand this.
>>1274606
He's probably just procrastinating doing your paperwork. I would politely keep on him every few days/ every week or so.
>>1274611
I dunno, I just feel like I'm annoying him by constantly pestering him but I'm not sure what else to do.
Weird situation all-around
bump...
Genuinely curious. What research do you do before investing in something? Do you just rely on Pepe postings or do you deeply study the financials?
"An investment operation is one which, upon thorough analysis promises safety of principal and an adequate return. Operations not meeting these requirements are speculative"
-Quote from 'Security Analysis'
>>1274555
>What research do you do before investing in something? ... do you deeply study the financials?
of course, however not every stock can be valued equally, some investments like in growth stocks are more speculative than others.
looking through financials is something you can learn in an hour and just grasp it in 20 minutes.
can you like me a 30 year virgin ask someone daughter to birth you a child? with no job due to mental illness?
>>1274512
what's your mental illness?
Is it hereditary?
deep fear / paranoia / delusions.
normal 99% time
>>1274522
>normal 99% time
In that case it's okay. Just ask someone daughter to birth you a child, and don't forget to mention you're normal 99% time.
How the fuck do I compute the volatility of a stock price?
Say I have a vector with a stock's price over n days. How do I best calculate it?
Right now I just calculate the average price over those n days, then for each day I do:
(Price - Average)^2
I sum all of those, then take the average of that, and then the square root of that.
What I then get I divide by the average price, and that's what I use as volatility.
I chose this method because I found it the most intuitive, however I have no actual clue as to how it should really be done. Can /biz/ please help me?
>>1274408
Bollinger bands with either simple moving average or exponential moving average.
What do you call the business model where you pay economists and mathematicians to create a mathematical model of stock prices for some small industry that predicts prices better than by chance, and then use it to make money by trading that industry's stock?
>>1274382
Fiction?
Wishing?
Bullshit?
Impossible?
Retarded?
Pick any. They're all correct.
>>1274382
HFT or Algorithm trading. Citadel is one of those firms. They are more or less prop firms that just constructs algorthims and manage them.
>>1274383
Why such a shitty response? Do you feel blame? Are you mad?
Did any of you guys have any luck on crowdfund sites?
>>1274329
I used Indeagogo for pre-seeding.
>Speak to local news paper
Then Kickstarter for seeding/protypes
>speak to national news papers
Then I went back to the local Gov branch of Populist-Meme Department, rubbed their faces in it.
>Waited.
Now they're offering two-and-a-half times what our initial begging was worth.
We're going to push for more until they say a hard, affirmative No.
>tf the dumb bitch who intially rejected us ending up being "shifted" in the department
I've got a really, really good business idea.
You remember all those times kickstarker scammers embezzled thousands and thousands of dollars in donations? Or all those borderline scam indiegogo pages just asking for free money? And it doesn't stop. More and more scams every fucking day.
Here's a new idea: why don't we make a crowdfunding site, where instead of the crowd getting physical rewards, they get a return on the money they put in. It's like kickstarter meets prosper. Crowdinvesting. You can split your money up and invest in many many projects, lowering your level of risk. It's like donating, but better because you actually make money. Creators be able to get a loan not based on their credit score but how well they pitch their idea. It will be more regulated than kickstarter and someone has to make sure the creators pay back their investors.
Imagine it, let's say you want to raise some money to buy some real estate. Create a "Crowdinvesting" page and send it to all your friends and extended family. It seems a lot more legit than just calling them up on the phone and asking them to wire you money. It would basically be a loan brokerage. Dying to know what you guys think?
>>1274782
This is obviously already a thing, but it should be more popular.
Should we do it and return to gold and silver currency? Aside from going against basic morals, being a buerocratic cancer and exploiting those in need, banks produce jack shit. They are also the ones who started replacing actual, valuable, currency with worthless scraps of paper.
It started as an alternative to transporting large amounts of money over seas, but now the are pushing the digitalization of currency.
Get me off this ride.
Should we collectivize banks ?
>>1274289
No.
>>1274289
Please open an economy for retard book.
We switched over because 1) it eases the changes between contries
2) bank creat growth by printing money and loans
3) the reason today's economy is shit is due to poor state management (contries not breaking monopolys for example)
>watching shark tank
>the lead entrepreneur is a woman
>pic related
>>1274196
>the lead entrepreneur is a woman
No of the women of that show come even close to the success of Mark Cuban. Hell I think of the two women only Barbara Corcoran counts as a decent business woman. Lori Greiner hasn't done shit but back money being a spokeswoman for other people shit.
Anytime she claims she can do this and that for someone it's utter lies. She's a glorified sales woman.
>watching Shark Tank
>Some idea are really good
>Turned down because investor is 'not feeling it'
>Not feeling it
>Calls itself an investors
>Choose one
To be honest I think Shark Tank and Dragons Den are cool shows but my god sometimes these 'investors' really have their heads up their asses.
Btw the low quality shit that is sometimes pitched at Dragons Den really suprises me.
I mean Shark Tank has a clear American-dream setting but atleast they have a really strict filter for shit ideas.
>>1274599
it's not the same as the stock market. they want to at least like the product
