What do you personally estimate the U.S unemployment to be?

The BLS says it's 4.7%, but I think it's closer to 15%.

So that's just how you feel? Based on anecdotal accounts?
>>
>>1283058
Closer to 20% when you consider adults who have just quit looking for work. Correlates with rise in higher suicide rates among middle class white men over 40.

Thanks, China.
>>
It's probably 30%

It'll be around 30% when Trump gets into office. That's the true data. Worse than shadow statistics.

"very little debt" he said

In his most recent financial disclosure statement, Donald Trump notes he has billions of dollars in assets. But the presumptive GOP nominee also has a tremendous load of debt that includes five loans each over $50 million. (The disclosure form, which presidential candidates must submit, does not compel candidates to reveal the specific amount of any loans that exceed $50 million, and Trump has chosen not to provide details.) Two of those megaloans are held by Deutsche Bank, which is based in Germany but has US subsidiaries. And this prompts a question that no other major American presidential candidate has had to face: What are the implications of the chief executive of the US government being in hock for $100 million (or more) to a foreign entity that has tried to evade laws aimed at curtailing risky financial shenanigans, that was recently caught manipulating markets around the world, and that attempts to influence the US government?

I don't know, but /biz/ is becoming increasingly a combination of NEETs and Randroids. It's becoming impossible to have any legitimate economic discussion. I'm about to give up, which is a shame, because I've been part of some really great threads on this board.

Hypothetically:
>have 2 accounts at XA and XB banks
>get 100k for 40y loan of X currency at bank XA
>have dual citizenship in a country with Y currency
>have 2 accounts there at YA and YB bank
>exchange rate is 1.00 X > 1.10 Y
>value of X keeps increasing but it's estimated to start falling within a month
>value of Y keeps decreasing but it's estimated to start rising within a month
>transfer the 100k X from XA to YA
>transfer 110k of Y from YA to YB
>repeat when X and Y currencies start gaining/losing value again

Is this legal and is it worth it? are there any fees on currency conversions or some sort of tax that can get in the way of this procedure? total /biz/ illiterate here by the way.

If you're not self-sufficient enough to find the answer for this question through 5 minutes on Google then you're probably not self-sufficient enough to run your own business yet.

Im a 2nd year university student doing CS, finance has been one of my interests and hobbies, I have been saving this 10k for a long time and plan to make my first investment this december, but before that I plan to read a few books (security analysis, one up on wallstreet)

Is this a good idea? how do I prepare and actually learn to put a price on stocks (no bs pls) or do I just ride the psychological train of stocks (speculating my way to 2x+ profits)

I also forgot to mention that I don't have debt of any sort plus backup emergency money that is in my savings (just earning a flat 2% from bank interest per year) so I need not worry about emergencies... That is why I have partitioned "my" part of the money which I can freely use and learn/make investments with (the 10k I have mentioned).

>meme CS job you're gonna get in 3 years writing java spring code for 45k a year

Surely this is just a meme in itself?

I just got a job with JPMorgan Chase as a AML Broker-Dealer Compliance Analyst.

Is this a good start, along with completing a JD part-time (from a t2 school and i have one year completed, but it's full tuition scholarship and it's near me), to attain an associates position in securities regulation??

i got this job through a low paying temp position at JPmorgan on AML temp projects. Im excited and if im stuck in AML, so be it. But I want to get into securities regulation because I feel like it has a better future and options for me.

Have any of you ever been contacted on linkedin for a job offer by a recruiter or something like that?

How legit is it?
8 posts and 1 images submitted.

All job offers on linked in are legit.. It's america, not a chinese sweat shop. Sure some jobs are hard, but they are not going to rob you unless you sign your name on something.
>>
Recruiter's job, funnily enough is to recruit.

Your linked in page is essentially a CV, so recruiters will headhunt you instead. I don't see why it wouldn't be legit?
