Hello, I have been making T-shirt designs on sites such as redbubble and teepublic for a few months now and I have generated about $100 in sales in total. I believe that there is more to be gained from this, but I am wondering, what designs should I create? The ones I've made and sold are designs with simple text and some logo on them. I've been thinking about making political T-shirts, would they sell? What bandwagon is there to jump on and profit from?

What's going to give me a better return? I'm looking for a third income option.

Have a friend who invited me to sell HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning), he's making 2k per week on sales.

At the same time, this whole board is filled with meme stocks, currency trading and other investment gigs. Seems like there is a lot of money to be made especially if you develop a great app, video game or blow up in stock.

Suggestion?

look at classified ads in your area
carefully
and look at old ones too
you'll find out which jobs are in high demand because the same ad stays on for a long time
if you want to base your job career off of that, you'll be successful

I'm starting this thread because a close friend of mine is being sold on the idea of forex.

We are both interested in investing in stocks. Right now I'm waiting on a year to finish college, get an engineering career and start investing some income to create passive income. In the meantime I'm studying up on business general and everything that can help on trading stock. Internet/books/etc.

He's a little more hands on and has not done that much research on it. He lives in Mexico, has a job and some good money at this point. A Forex team just recently came to town and is saying that they just recently open it's doors to Mexico. This team is offering him the Forex app for him to trade stocks manually under Forex guidance in the form of alarms to your phone when a stock seems like an appropriate buy/sell. It can also run on automatic and just invest your money for you on the given alarms. Catch is there is a monthly payment of $175/mo to have the app.

They are also doing a pyramid scheme in which if you bring in 3 more people you no longer have any monthly payments.

How badly is he getting fucked?

I already told him that he should first read up and research everything on stocks and then think about throwing the money on it.

I told him the pyramid scheme aspect of it sounds sketchy to me.

Of course the biggest catch is that in order to be profitable at all you would have to play with a capital of 2k at least and hope to make about 10% monthly to cover the $175.

So the only way to go is come in with 3 people ready to sign up so you don't have to pay those $175/mo and even then you're still just playing stocks with forex where you can win or lose.

Main question I have is has anyone made good money with Forex??

Does the automatic trading make money? Otherwise, he could just trade manually for free.

>Forex Pyramid scheme
Forex is bad enough as is if you're a noob adding a pyramid scheme to the whole thing is like putting money in hashocean
>>
>>1348446
>This team is offering him the Forex app for him to trade stocks manually under Forex guidance

That makes no sense. FOREX = foreign exchange = currencies. Forex has nothing to do with stocks. The pyramid scheme is yet another red flag. Your friend is getting scammed.

Think I may have botched a salary negotiation today. Not sure because I've never done it before. It was over the phone. Already interviewed and they seemed highly interested. They said we are thinking $X. I said I was thinking more like $Y (15% more than X) and explained why. I read it doesn't hurt to shoot high. They said they will talk about it and get back to me. Called back later and said we cant do it sorry, good luck. No counter or anything. Am I out? I was expecting some kind of haggling. Is there a chance they are testing me and will contact me later?

One of my friends apply out of college to an engineering position. Got the position during the interview, he tried negotiating they told him they felt insulted by the fact the he even tried negotiating because he is fresh out of college and are giving him a good opportunity here.

Basically I wouldn't negotiate unless I can stay at a current job which pays more or close to what they offer.

I wouldn't negotiate if I was jobless really.

>job market is shit
>>
>>1348451
I figured that would be the case. But I do currently have a job with years of experience, and I didnt even apply, they recruited me. Seems odd
>>
>>1348451
Yeah I wouldn't try to negotiate salaries if i was unemployed lol
Recently I changed jobs and when my old director found out, he pulled me into his office and said "let's give you a promotion"
I said "well I like working for you that sounds great; but they offered me like 6 dollars more an hour so I'm gonna need a raise"
He said no
So I gave my two weeks notice
The day before I turned in my badge, he pulled me back into his office and offered to match; at that point I declined....felt offended that I wasn't even worth the extra six bucks, considering that he would have to hire a new grad to replace me.
Turned in my badge; we're still cool, and I know he had to try to lowball me, but I wasn't bluffing lol

Cobalt's on the move, high grade lithium batteries for cars and shit need it, the current supply is not enough. Got this from a HC thread about cobalt companies that have the best deposits.

>The Katanga mine in DRC (largest cobalt mine in the world) is closed until middle 2018 due to maintenance. This leaves only the virtual producers that are specialized on cobalt pure-play for the investors to achieve near-term profit. Here is a quick run-down of the trending virtual producers.

>Formation Metals (FCO.TO) - Idaho Cobalt Project, hyped due to Tesla Gigafactory vicinity (Nevada), promotes itself with ethical mining, safety and responsibility, however other than economic studies they offer not much information about their deposit, other than estimated reported resources which are not particulary impressive in comparison with the resources elsewhere.

>Broken Hill Prospecting (BPL.AX) - still lacks a JORC compliant study to further provide economic viability, the scoping studies for cobalt are years out of date, it will need current information for further assessment. The scoping study shows the deposit being fairly vertical with mineralisation occuring to 300m of depth, thus drilling and maintenance being a production cost factor.

>Conico (CNJ.AX) [50% JV with BAR.AX, a gold miner] - Mt. Thirsty, potentially 4th in the world by obtainable cobalt resource, is 50% owned, operated and managed by Conico (CNJ.AX), the companies tangible book value exceeds their SP (0,02 SP – 0,05 TBVPS). The orebody is relatively flat lying with an average thickness of 12m and an average depth below surface to the top of the orebody of 14m, deeming the production costs lower due to lack of necessity for extensive drilling.

Interesting. Didn't realize cobalt had industrial applications in batteries.

Formation Metals is a Canadian company and you can probably find their assay and geology reports here, for those interested:

http://www.sedar.com/homepage_en.htm

They are obligated to use a qualified geologist to formulate a technical report on their prospect.
