Has anyone ever left their current job for a competitor of that company?
I have a clause in agreement that says I can't within 4 years of working for them. They didn't really specific who exactly was a competitor, so it could be broad or narrow. Either way, the only way for me to get a higher pay is with the same job type and skill. My current company has a high turnover rate anyways. I'm just worried they might try to sue me.
Pro-tip: noncompete clauses that lock you out of the industry are unconscionable. That makes them legally unenforceable.
You're good.

Be honest, how many of you guys are losers, or NEETs.
Sometimes I just come here because I honestly don't have any friends; I think I just vent out my frustration here and blame niggers and Jews for things because it's fun and makes me feel better about myself.
Most of the gamers I play with always yell nigger and Jews, and when I look at their Steam profiles they usually have 100+ weekly hours, me included.
I don't have a job, I pretty much just browse here and cycle between four different games. When I lose I always call the opposing team a nigger or a faggot or something offensive, and it got me thinking about how I always made fun of blacks for living off welfare when I live under my parents.
I've never really put thought into this, but am I the only one here like this? Is the redpill just cynicism, not any real truth?
I'm so fucking pathetic, this place is the only place that makes me feel like I have a voice in the world. I tried Reddit once but then I couldn't hold an argument and resorted to name calling, but here our Id's are reset per thread so I could just post anything without repurcussions.
I don't know, but honestly, is anyone here successful, so I know I'm not backing up an ideal consisting of a bunch of failures. Like proof that you go to a good school or a good job, it would make me feel a lot better about myself, I'm having an epiphany

Considering Poli Sci for college major. I am seriously worried about finding a job with it. I know places like McKinsey & Co and Bain & Co employ people fresh out of bachelors and masters training, but competition must be harsh. Do any of you know if a Poli Sci degree is good, or is there a similar degree that has a higher chance of getting me a job with a salary like McKinsey?
>>1355658
well I'd be lying if I said I knew anything about these specific companies you're mentioning or that I'd research it for you..
but I can tell you that political science is an absolutely horrible major, and I can't imagine anyone with less than a 3.9 ever finds a job. and not just a 3.9 from any old college, I'd imagine people with bachelors from harvard are doing alright, maybe. Otherwise I think you might just be forced to try and get a masters or doctorate in a desperate bid to be able to teach somewhere..
have you seen those graphs that are all over the internet when you google, "average income by degree/major"? well all that data is pretty important and is trying to tell you something. i hope you're intelligent or have some affinity for math because if you don't there's almost no reason for you to go to college.
if you aren't having it paid for you by family or something and you're going to have to assume the debt then college has to be a very purposeful investment. are you familiar with the modern cliche of the 28 or 30 year old with a masters in art, history, philosophy, poltical science, biology, english, sociology, or psychology, who is living at home and can't find a job?
over 67% of all high schoolers today are moving onto higher education, spurred on by cheap credit and baby boomer parents and grandparents telling their children things like "follow your heart and the money will follow." the fact that you say you're seriously worried about it speaks volumes as to your intelligence.
the kid who doesn't think twice about whether or not their degree will bring them income in the future are the ones who end up living at home at age 30 or as managers at McDonalds. i won't cover them all, but there are a narrow handful of things worth going to college for: science (excluding social sciences & biology), mathematics (must be applied in some way, don't try and become a teacher or theoretician unless you're the next john nash), engineering..
>>1355982
cont..
engineering: chemical, mechanical, electrical, petroleum, all pretty fucking good.. technology: computer science is alright, IT is meh, tons of other majors are decent here..
but jesus man, as someone who is profoundly interested in all things humanities and bored to death by everything that involves hard work (math/science) i'm telling you right now that you'd enjoy making 100k/yr and reading sartre in your off time MUCH MORE than you'd like sitting around without a job.. or working at auntie annes, and trying to get some what think tank? or some fucking bullshit to hire you to spout your opinions.
and if you absolutely don't want to go to college for any scientific pursuit and fear you'll struggle with calculus or software programming.. then just go ahead and learn to trade forex or start your own business. those are the real goals at the end of the day anyway, to work for yourself.
kinda all over the place, hope you take into consideration all i've tried to say.
>>1355994
Thank you for your input. Before my interests suddenly changed to humanities, I was immersed in neuroscience (most likely because my neighbor was one and introduced me to a bunch of people).
I looked at a "salaries by major" table on WSJ, and I finally get why so many people at my school aspire to be engineers.
I actually planned for Comp Sci or Cryptography to be my major, just in case shit like this happened.
I am not too bad in math (then again, my standards for bad are different). My school has lanes and I am in a mid-tier lane. But science was hell for me, probably because teachers not giving a shit due to having tenure. Taking AP AB Calc starting August.
I really don't know what the hell to choose for my major now. I am applying to colleges soon and I really need to make a decision.
Do you think the EU will impose tariffs on England or otherwise try to force them back in?
>>1353068
Yes. And I think it will backfire, other EU members will see it as overtly tyrannical and the ones that are positioned to have referendums will be more stalwart in their desires to leave.
Invest in gold, instability will rise. There will be a tipping point at which gold and gold industry will be worth a sell, obviously. I don't see that coming anytime soon, I think you'll see another spike at the official invocations of art 50.
I'd go liquid in the middle of the dissolution of the EU, hang on to it, and buy the remaining banks at the bottom. I'm looking for BCS and DB, IF, they can hang on through the dissolution.

Australian financial advice pls
What would be a good stock broking firm or investment group to take a moderate-ish sum of money to?
And how do I do this?
I work long hours much of the week so I don't have the time or the training as you can see from a question as oblivious as this to invest and monitor it myself and want a better return than a mere term deposit

Good businessmen don't fuck around so I'll get straight to the point.
Lost keys, was locked out of my house for 3 days straight, dumbfuck locksmiths came over and decided to sting me $180 for replacement of keys etc.
I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm probably getting ripped off. The guy said he needed to change the cylinder locks which added up to $80, and the keys for the fly screen door, deadlock and mailbox will be $50 and also $50 for having to pick the lock to open the house.
The idiot left his lock pick behind when he left on my front doorstep. HPC lock pick. I'm thinking of selling it to someone to recoup some money from this. The legality of it doesn't worry me, I'm already in shit for having it anyway and I would assume selling it to someone who uses it for breaking and entering would yield a higher profit margin.
Looked on Ebay, seems to only be going for maybe $8, $10 tops. If I hype it up a bit selling it I'm sure I could add another $20 to the price, even better if I could get someone who really wants a lock pick badly. My question is; does anyone know somewhere I could sell someone a HPC lock pick to the point of them paying above average price for it?
TL;DR: Want to sell a lockpick and get at least enough money to cover cost of locksmith maintenance, even if just a little loss is inevitable.
You are black

Nice try whitey. Only a honky would pay out the ass to a locksmith anyway.
I was thinking, what if you brought $1000 (amount is irrelevant) worth of stocks from every company that profited from the previous day, wouldn't you just about always make money off of this? Over half of the companies would have to go negative the next day for you to even lose money and what are the chances of that, given they profited yesterday?
>>1359300
welcome to the game
>>1359305
Is this actually what people do? just buy a loads of stocks from profiting companies and hope the entire economy doesnt shit itself?
>>1359314
I'm no fortune teller but that doesn't sound like a strategy that will benefit you in the long run. A company can lose value quickly
I think this might be the shill who has been shit posting all day on yobit.

Mostly the answer is no.
But,a decent guess as to a partial reason is people are scared and they're flocking to hard currency. Welfare normie faggots can't into gold so they into silver.
