I really like the perks you can receive on a business credit card but I don't own a business. Can I just make up a business and apply? It gives me the option of putting my SSN in place of the tax ID #.
There's a fee for those cards.
Good ideas. Do it.
>>1390001
Of course, anyone can make a firm. Make one in a state with low taxes
>>1390001
I got two business credit cards anon with two different "businesses"
The Ink Cash is fantastic for getting 5% on your cable, Internet, landline, or wireless bill, since that's what I believe you're referring to because it has no annual fee, I pay my parents $500 monthly Verizon bill with it and they just give me a check
Just make up your own business to get it, if you've never had a Chase business card before, you should be ok to get it

I want to be scientest/engineer I love NASA and NOAA, would love to get like a 6 month stint on an antarctic base or work with other scientests. I'm not a lazy nigger, I don't do drugs and I have 3.0~GPA, and I'm hungry for adventure. Where or how should I get out of my slave wages?

Also general retail hate thread
I hate to be that "jus b urself" guy, but I made over $50,000 just from YouTube this year, and I'm just starting out. You can literally do whatever you want, and make more then $9 an hour, don't stand for working at McDonald's if you don't like it, find a way to monetize whatever you like doing.

/biz/, I need some career guidance.
I'm 24 and dropped out of college two years ago to start working the deadend job I'm now. I pays pretty well, so I've become comfy with it and kinda forgot about my education.
My mother keeps telling me I should leave it so I could continue studying, since this job gives me no future prospects at all.
What should I do, milk this comfy, high-paying job as long as it is possible or leave now and go back to college?
>>1389932
how high paying are we talking?

Doing some research on my own time,
out of curiosity, what string of majors is best suited for a career in the world of hedge funds, in specific quant hedge funds.
I know cs, math-based, and quantitative disciplines are good for this line of work, but after extensive googling, I can't exactly decide how I should set up my degree.
>McGill
CS Major, Math Major
CS Major, Finance Minor, Econ Minor
CS Major, Math & Econ Minor
out of these three combo's, which one is the best for quant research and some kind of hedge fund role?
>obviously this is a question for what is most interesting on an academic level, but from a career standpoint... which combo is best?
>respecs to legitimate reponses
Your major doesn't matter.
>>1389919
Any quantitative major + programming knowledge
Algo trading is hard to get in to
>>1389919
Financial engineering from an Ivy is you best bet for a solid future
If that is not possible, double major in Math and Finance. Econ is useless if your looking to get into hedge funds.
Simply put, what is the best way to whore myself out for good money without experience or a degree....without literally whoring myself out
I dont mind if im shoveling shit or standing in the rain or doing back breaking work as long as it doesnt genuinly injure me

I want to make some savings in a year or so of hard work and then try set myself up and get some more normal work or go for a degree
Find a newspaper. It's the flat things you read about rugby and kangaroo boxing in. They will have advertisements for jobs, you should try reading them and then applying for the jobs you read about.
lmao "how do I get a job"
Finally realized after graduating with a diploma in software development, that I really hate programming. I tried off and on for years to get a job in it and tried building a portfolio but to no avail.
Just got accepted to write and aptitude test for plumbing/pipe fitting. 5 years of $20.00+ an hour then when one hits journeyman status, rates more than double.
Tell me how much of a mistake I'm making? And are any of you in a career transition?
>>1389901
I gave up my help desk position in May due to the commute and joined a local cleaning company. Then I accepted a new job door canvassing and it's pretty shit desu. Now I'm hoping I get a call back from Wawa's management training program.
It sucks having a tech background in an area where it's mostly marinas and tourist attractions - no consistent work unless you want to travel 60+ miles away...
>>1389901
What don't you like about programming? It might be a good indicator of what you might like.

How much would monthly rent be?
How would you calculate this number?

>>1389898
Yeah, why would a millionaire rent his shit out to people he doesn't know who will probably have their cats and dogs spraying piss all around the house? He can afford to just hang on to it.
Jesus fuck I used to live a block away from there in the mid 1980s.
tl;dr I need to make $50 a day for 6 weeks outside a traditional min wage job
I'm starting uni in September, and just got laid off from my summer job due to a change in management. So I pretty much have 6 weeks open with nothing to do; unfortunately this is not enough time to start and then quit an actual job before school.
Anyone have any good ideas on how to save up some money for the year, during this short period? I'm looking to net around 2k, which means I only need to make about $50 a day. I was considering reselling cheap Chinese goods on Ebay and Instagram but the margins seem awfully low. I've also submitted many bids on Freelancer without success.

collect unemployment from your last job.
i'm in the same boat.
here's what i was gonna do:
get some work experience in (unpaid) related to my degree to get a part time job in that field whilst at college.
but i might've lucked it and got in with something bigger. work xp is my backup though
Sell 25I-NBOMe as acid, the profit margins are pretty dank I heard from a guy that was doing it a few years ago, idk about today though they prob still are pretty dank

Alright biz, I have been using magnets to trick the electricity bill for like 5 years now due to wagecuck income, so I'm open to ideas. How do I make money out of free electricity? Without the electricity company finding out?
1. Shitcoin mining rigs since electricity is your primary cost after the video cards.
2. Don't post about this online because your local PD has a cybercrimes division that will tip off the fraud department.
>>1389738
how you do that?
