Hey, /biz/, what do you guys think of Alpha Investments?

He seems like a pretty nice guy but that is besides the point. He invests in Magic: The Gathering booster boxes and also owns a store as well where I assume he sells singles, and locally as well. People who comment have been saying that his videos are affecting the market. He has only been around ONE MONTH on YouTube and already has 14k subs and 700,000 video views on his channel.

Thoughts? Opinions? I think he's a bit more nefarious than he lets on. There is definitely something in it for him to be making all these videos (besides the pennies YouTube throws at content creators). I think he makes them, as previously stated, to move the market in a direction he finds favorable. Is investing this heavily into one franchise even a good idea? He says the total worth of his collection is worth seven figures in one of his Q&A videos. He also has a pretty negative view on stocks and bonds from what I gather because he used to work for brokerage and investment firms (he constantly wears Bear Stearns and Merrill Lynch t-shirts).

Also, Rudy, it wouldn't surprise me if you browsed /biz/ because you seem like the type of autistic neckbeard who would browse here.

Guy has some good advice if you're willing to go deep as fuck for long periods. Making money as a MTG store has got to be one of the easiest things I've ever seen if you've got deep pockets.

That depends. Are you making interest of any kind on that 30k? If I were you personally I'd play around for at least a month with 1k in the stock market and move up as you feel comfortable.

I'm not going to release my method, because I'm still earning money with it, once I have something better set up I'll post the whole thing here. Think of it as a way of abusing websites such as adf.ly and adsense by google.

Finding and/or creating such software isn't hard though, you just have to do some research and have a good idea.

I suggest reading Blackhatworld or similar forums, you might not find a complete guide but it can help you.

Hold my nigga. The party is not over. Pull out a couple of days after the Pokemon Go release in Asia though - after that, the rocket runs out of fuel. The drop today was due to a downgrade by Deutsche Bank and a general correction due to the recent growth. Btw Pokemon Go releases tomorrow in Japan, and the rest of Asia will soon follow. Good luck m8!

Does anybody know anything about the Vancouver British Columbia Canada Housing market?

The market is very inflated. two bedroom ranchers are selling for over a million dollars.
I am currently 23 years old and born and raised in Vancouver. I currently make $36/hr and $38/hr on night shifts.
Last year i grossed just over $80000 CAD. I have saved up $40000 so far and i am wanting to put a down payment on a
new $300000 two bedroom condo. Now here is my question what are the odds this inflated market is going to crash?
Obviously i dont want to have a $250000 fixed mortgage and have my condo be worth $50000 in two years.

I know some of you are saying keep renting but i am sick of
A: having a roommate
B: Giving $500 a month to a chink who doesn't speak any English so i have to go through is spoiled son.

Should i take the plunge and buy an apartment or should i use my funds and invest it into the stock market.
Also if i do go into the stock market would it be wise to put it into an investment firm or are those just jew shills who will steal my money?

Graduated from Canada, have ~2 years of international experience in Kuwait.

Trying to apply for jobs in TX but it seems almost impossible to land anything via job boards. I thought the US economy was picking up, and the market turned into a job-seeker's market. Also as a Canadian, I don't need visa sponsorship to work as an engineer.

What's going on?

Move to other states and apply everywhere. Where I live here in CA is high-technology firms usually dealing with manufacturing and R&D for manufacturing.

I'm also a mechanical engineer within a few years and most are asking at least 5 year minimum experience in the field. Average job growth by 2024 but thankfully get into six-digit salary for top earners if you put in the work.
>>
>>1391907
Are you applying to oil companies? Because if so the oil industry is pretty much dead right now
>>
>>1391956

You went a bit off topic, but you are trying to be helpful so i will respond.

1. Moving is complicated.
>can stay in the US max of 6 months a year.
>must work illegally to sustain myself without biting into savings.
>When I do get an interview and an offer, I have to fly back to Canada then FLY back to the same STATE making it look extremely suspicious for the guys at homeland security, they will probably think i've committed visa fraud on my first entry (tourism visa, not looking-for-job visa).

2. Texas is the state that i'm getting the most call-backs from so i rather focus on this state alone. I already got 2 interviews in CA but they fell through. I also have a gf there that is a US citizen, works as a mechanical engineer making 15/hr, 13/hr in her first year. Doesn't look too great considering the cost of living.

I want to join the marines, live in the barracks and eat on base for free. Save all the money I make in a year (which should be about 20,000). Would I be able to invest in a portfolio or something with the money I save and get wealthy off of being a Marine? Is this a good or a bad idea /biz/?

well 20k is not much money. are you looking at putting that money into long term investments or are you saying you want to day trade?

You're not going to get rich off of 20k unless you're also a brilliant investor.
You should also know the Marines actually do shit. Army and Navy is 'coast through life on the government's dime'.

Best advice I've ever heard: Ignore the Wall Street talking-heads (whose job is literally to convince dumb traders into buying stupid shit) and only invest in companies that you understand well enough to reasonably expect them to continue being successful.

ex.) Coca-Cola is a decent (not amazing, but very safe) choice because they aren't going out of business anytime soon. Same with Apple, Microsoft, etc.
ex.) HotNewStartup is an example of what not to buy, because it isn't very stable and you don't have reason to expect it to continue to be profitable.

It's about managing risk based on true market conditions, not just people's airheaded beliefs.

How do I get over social anxiety to get better at networking?

I doubt I could be successful in the business world or find a decent job right now when I can't even go get a proper haircut

Okay /biz/, I'm lost right now.

My father owns a (portion of?) section of the snap-on business, easily raking in 150k a year, and he has offered to help me start up. I'm currently in college for economics. I'm worried about his offer though, because I do NOT want to be stuck in my current area for the rest of my life (DE). Should I say no? Is there a way I can open this franchise elsewhere ?

Oh, and I hardly know a thing about tools.

Leave - you will only fuck up your dads business and he will end up resenting you more than he already does. Your a failure. Realize it and join the army or something.

/biz/ I need your help.

I'm the co-admin of an amateur porn channel in Telegram, and we both admins want to earn something from it. We've got some numbers (more than 6k members), also this app is great to reach people on their phones without risking to lose people's interest, but we don't know how to set up something that will last in the long run (something renewable).

Basically this is like a website without the possibility to add banners, only links or media files (within the cloud).

I've seen other people with different kind of channels, doing different things to earn something through this, but since we're an adult channel, we can't use the same strategy, because most people don't want traffic coming from adult things, even if they can't actually verify where the traffic is coming from.

Also I've seen others using url shorteners to earn something, but you risk losing people because of massive advertising on mobile devices. And it doesn't pay that much.

For now the only thing that came to my mind was advertising adult shops and similar, being paid a static amount to direct certain amount of traffic to them, or percentage on selling, but only managed to make one deal with one of these shops (after like 20 sent emails to 20 different shops), but it got overcrowded in traffic in a short time (100+ people in an hour), and thinking I was using some spamming method, they broke the deal.

What should I do?
We don't really expect to make real amount of money through this, but yet it could be a source of income with very low work hours, mostly in idle times, which is always appreciated.

(if talking about porn is against the rules, remove this post, please)

Mmm nice, but shouldn't I be scared of losing people? Or maybe that won't happen if I direct them to other Porn categories (that is, things different than the amateur niche), so that they'll always return to me for amateur material.
