Niall Fergusons' Ascent of Money was decent, and I think it was Audible I got it from. It's about the history of finance, loans, debts, banks, bonds, stocks etc. I enjoyed it.

Recession is at least within the next 4 years, most people on /biz/ have only been trading for a year or 2 max. S&P would have been a great idea in early 2009 though. I plan on going balls deep when s&p bottoms out again. Can't wait until Hillary gets elected.

My savings would more go towards allowing me to survive without a salary while I'm programming the product.

I could easily stretch 15k for a year. I imagine my strategy as working on the product with a potential co-founder until we have something worthy of pitching to VC. Is that realistic/good idea or is it better to seek a loan and go full speed ahead asap?
