Let's talk about pump and dumps.
Which ones were the most successful?
And which ones were the biggest failures?
Were you a part of any of them? How do you recognize when a pump is going to happen?

Alright /biz/ I've been doing some research and found this company that basically builds greenhouses and equipment for marijuana growing and extraction. This companys HQ is in California while it's incorporation is in Nevada. Both states will be voting on legalizing recreational marijuana this November, and they both are very likely to pass, am I on to something?
What happened in the beginning of 2014?
Some slut blowing you up on fb my man

I'll be sure to short it lad. Keep me posted.
I always miss all the good stuff. :/
What you're seeing there is a x845 profit. Imagine 1 bitcoin x845. That's a lot of money.
Why did it happen though? Educate us.
>>1405968

>>1405968
That would be 8.45 bitcoins...
merchant charged me twice for the same purchase and refuses won't fix it. What are my options at this point?
Dispute the payment with your credit/debt card.

There's nothing you can do.
How would you turn this into 1 billion
I'd be happy with 10 million

Start a movie studio and go public while retaining a certain amount of ownership 80-90% at first. Ease down to 40-50% of so when it starts getting big.
Borrow 100,000,000 Yen
Convert
Invest it all in a sovereign bond paying more than the costs of conversion and the interest on the loan
Sell to a greater fool/hold to short-term maturity (before loan due)
Rinse and repeat
Fellow /biz/ness men, how do we invest in climate change?
Let's discuss:
- Areas where real estate will appreciate significantly after sea levels rise
- Industries that will have a huge boom once the public goes into panic mode (after the first 'day after tomorrow' esque disaster)
Some thoughts:
- Coastal cities will either be wiped out, or require huge infrastructure changes
- Solar power will be pushed. Question is what timeframe to enter the solar sector?
- Narrative that cow farts are destroying the world is being pushed, possibly look to exit any positions that could be effected by declining beef sales in 5 years?
>>1405908
EZ
Estimate where rising sea levels will stop or at least slow their rising speeds, then build/renovate a line of hotels/apartments and market them as "beachfront" properties. By the time the water has risen enough, you will have a massive chain of properties and a total monopoly on all the coastal land. Assuming they are all owned and operated by the same company, expect returns of 500,000%.
Get a Canadian passport
They're better set for climate change than any other nation. Russia has Siberia, true, but it also hosts tons of drunks/fuckups/Russians.
Canada has tons of minerals, arable land, freshwater, and will be poised to exploit the melt in the northern ice caps (exploring new trade routes).
Then again, its defenses are shit compared to its cantankerous neighbor.

>>1405893
Yeah it sucks getting infinite pussy and being rich
That's why everyone always wishes they were broke and involuntarily celibate virgins.

You need patience as an actor.
Under hot lights why they try and remove the shadow cast from your nose, or make your eyes sparkle, or put the strawberries back on the plate you were eating before the last take.
When the First AD decides it's time suddenly you need to instantly get back into character and deliver the line the way the director wants. Even though the director majorly autistic and has no understanding of how people outside of movie actually behave.
Then there's the PR. The same bullshit, prepackaged statements about how you loved working with the director, the cast. For weeks on end for a film you finished working on months ago.
It's not that hard once you've made it. But you need so much self discipline even once you've made it.
If you love acting (i.e. playing pretend) and you have patience then it's great.
The ones who find something to do with their lives in something like charity reconnect with people and tend to lead fulfilling lives. The ones who lose themselves in tabloid alienation and meaningless sex are miserable.
How many of you here have had a great business idea?
>I imagine 100% of you
Now, how many of you have actually looked further into this idea, and figured out wether or not it is feasible?
>I estimate 30-45% of you
NOW, how many of you have tried to launch that business idea, into a business?
>1-3% of you, maybe?
How many of you that have launched that business, have become successful of it, or at least made a profit?
>1%
Share your stories, oh wise 1%.

i run a business specializing in kneepads
I just got done summarizing in my notes what the next project I want to work on is, and then it hits me..
When does/should a business become more than an Idea?
Besides the obvious, 'Well is it a well thought out, profitable idea?' I was wondering how much research/consolidation of info is required before you begin to do things like, spend money on domain names and such.
TLDR: when is it time to become a man?
>>1405849
>risk vs reward
The more time you put in, does not mean the business will be an instant success, or a success at all for that matter.
Launch first, develop later.

I agree with this.

Investing in a solar etf should be a pretty good long term investment, right? I mean, the world is slowly moving towards alternative energy. Thats just the next stage in energy evolution. Theres no way solar power can be a loser in the long term.
...right?

Why not diversify? Especially in a field that seems due for technological advancement in the coming years.
But where's the profit?
Hello /biz/, this is /pol/
>inb4 stormfag, i'm not racist
With Bernie Sanders officially out of the race, I find it interesting that Donald Trump is now the candidate wishing to reenact Glass Steagall. I am a fledgling business/economics major and do not know too much on the subject and I was hoping /biz/ could help explain some of the finer details to be that I can't find on /pol/ where people just yell "BIG BANKS BAD" and "GAS THE JEWS" and shit like that.

>With Bernie Sanders officially out of the race, I find it interesting that Donald Trump is now the candidate wishing to reenact Glass Steagall.
trump will just say anything, 6 months ago he said that he was going to deregulate big banks to give them an incentive to invest and wall street went of the wall, now he is saying he'll re instate glass Steagall and wall street is cuddling.
trump is obviously courting Sanders supporters and he isn't even subtle about it I think he has no subtle concept.
I am smart enough to know trump is flip flopping ass hole and even I went what?
