This board needs a question general.
I'll start:
What stops a majority shareholder from screwing over the minority shareholders by paying himself a wage covering the entire profit of the company?
Noone has a question? This is your chance to ask it.

>What stops a majority shareholder from screwing over the minority shareholders by paying himself a wage covering the entire profit of the company?
1. It's a slow board. Don't have a bitch fest just because no one responds to your post in the first 8 minutes. It's not going to slide off the board.
2. Shareholders don't get a salary.
3. Officers get a salary, but the management of the company has a fiduciary duty to operate the business in the best interests of all shareholders. This would prevent an officer, even if he had large shareholdings, from paying himself a excessive salary.

so on biz I have seen the advice to never hire women because our gender is an overall liability. as a woman though I want to know
how to stand out above other women and not be seen as a liability that they would be. thanks biz!
>>1411904
>how to stand out above other women and not be seen as a liability that they would be. thanks biz!
Just focus on doing your job to the best of your ability. That's it, and stop caring about what autistic virgin NEETs on this website say.
Most of the people on this board are unemployed according to polls.
Work as hard as everyone else, don't bring emotion into the workplace and be assertive.
From my experience girls who are as equally driven as men go farther, at least in IB where I'm working. I only judge people off the work they produce and their general attitude and ambition.
The women on my floor are just as capable as their male counterparts since that's who lasts in this business anyways.
>>1411904
Another thing is to be prepared to handle a joke without blowing up like some SJW feminist (because no one really wants to be around that). If someone makes a joke that you think can be interpreted as sexist, then just hold your tongue. Don't bring social or political issues into work (unless it's kind of 1 on 1 with someone you trust, but even then do so at your own risk)
Sometimes it helps to be good looking, but really you just need to be proactive.
>be hiring manager
>interviewing men and women
>shy girl comes in
>doesn't really talk or elaborate, noticably nervous
>compared to a really outgoing man or woman, it's a no brainer
This is assuming of course you are not the best cutting edge person in your field and you are average/above average.
Just be friendly with everyone you meet. In most male dominated fields, a friendly and outgoing female stands out so fucking much.
tips on dealing a wage increase for a remote programming job? i'm being paid very little (about 3$/hour), but i live in a third world country and that's a lot. i want to get paid a bit more just so i have 1000$ at the end of the month, but i don't know how to go at it. i'm thinking that if i want to get paid x$ this month i should tell them i want (x+50)$ so they negotiate a bit less. but what if they tell me they just don't have the money or something? do i walk away?
Maybe if you get a united states p.o box as a mailing address ?
>>1411851
what for?
>>1411861
So they think you are a U.S citizen and pay you more. Reason being, if they are paying you grossly under minimum wage they will bump up your pay to not risk being sued.
>be me
>Email super autist coworker
>Crack a lame light-hearted joke about something
>He responds with a super long serious email like I attacked him personally or something
Why are autists so hard to work with?
>>1411833
Confront him in person and make him flinch
>>1411837
DO THIS. He will go out of his way to avoid you.
>tfw work as a teller at chase part time
>tfw i will never get promoted to a new position to make more than 11 per hour
>tfw no car because money
>tfw still living with parents because i can't move out because money
What the fuck can I do to fix this? It is beyond frustrating that I would need handouts to survive without my parents taking me in. I know I am worth more and I have learned quite a bit but i just cannot catch a break to prove myself. It feels like Chase does not even hire from within to fill banker positions.
I also think that if I have to deal with any more customers throwing fits and insults at me i am gonna come unglued. I do not get paid to put up with that shit.
>>1411769
>I also think that if I have to deal with any more customers throwing fits and insults at me i am gonna come unglued.
Rofl, stories nigs.
>>1411769
Nobody cares you worthless piece of shit
>I am worth more

Do you have any type of degree?
What is a computer component or related thing, that sells the most?
>>1411749
No idea but I was recently looking to buy a wired keyboard for a laptop. They can easily go for 20 euro, depending on where they're sold.
>>1411749
graphics cards if you can get them for cheap.
micro usb cables
>Go to mall washroom with backpack
>Take the huge rolls of toilet paper from every stall
>never have to spend money on toilet paper again
Who else / does this / here?
>spend time and gas driving to the mall
>obtain $1 worth of TP
yeah really economical
>>1411676
The huge rolls are worth a lot more than that. Probably $5-10 I'd assume if not buying them in bulk. Toilet paper aint that cheap, senpai.
Plus it's not far and it's when I'm doing my shopping anyway
>>1411672
>This is how poor people think you go about saving money.
Mfw I spend .20 a roll bulk shipped for free directly to my door while you're smuggling tp
some poor guy/girl sent me €23 worth of ETC (crypto money) on my kraken account, should i contact kraken and help the guy/girl get coin back? i never imagened these things happen.
>>1411435
ahh shit, i wanted to post this on /b not /biz
Meh.
Wait a few months for the email where they say they sent it to you by mistake. if you never get a message then just keep it.
>>1411435
nah tell kraken and hope they sort it out.
the fact you asked shows you're a good person, just do the right thing.
Why would you ever want to not work in a non-tech industry?
Pros:
Build the future
wear t-shirt and jeans to work
unlimited food from any country at work
test cool gadgets
sit and relax at desk
high pay
live in California
work with people from across world
Cons:
glasses
Pros of creating a tech company:
work with friends
sit at home in pajamas drinking coffee
only need a computer
inexpensive
innovate your way out of competition
viral marketing
Cons:
gotta be smart
prove me wrong (you can't tho)
pic unrelated
I'd put California under a 'con', not a 'pro'.
-tech worker who escaped CA
> live in california
> pro
>>1411441
Hater. California is a great place to live.
>need cash to pay my rent
>send myself a PayPal invoice
>pay it with credit card
>won't let me do it
How do I solve this issue?
Sell product on eBay to yourself then pay that way maybe. Or buy a money order and cash it. Or buy a gift card and sell it.
>>1411366
Take a cash advance on your cc.
You sound like a cuck
Even though I know it's a horrible wagecuck investment, I do play it. I buy about 2-4 tickets a month. Even though I'm trying to earn money by trying out businesses etc., deep down I know that it's my only chance of becoming rich before the age where being rich doesn't mean shit anymore (I'd say about 28). I'm 19 now. I'm playing it for the idea and to not suicide.
At 19 even if you put a modest amount of money into a 401k or something similar you'll be set for retirement. Don't listen to the speculation and get rich quick bullshit here.
>>1411287
the thing is i dont care about retirement. I'm a on a "good path" in terms of college and jobs. I honestly want to drive a lambo before my 30's
>>1411297
Elaborate on your good path that you're on plz

When TrumpCoin was established, a substantial fund was set aside to support the election of Donald J. Trump for President of the United States. By using TrumpCoin, you're helping support the value of the Trump Fund so we can make a Trump sized impact this November and beyond.
TrumpCoin is a cryptocurrency that trades on numerous exchanges online. The price of TrumpCoin is dictated by the supply and
demand of traders on these exchanges, much like a stock market. What this means is that the higher the value of a TrumpCoin
becomes, the higher the dollar value of the Trump Fund becomes.

Its time to step it up my friend.
Employee for top tier health insurance and benefits and self-employed for money.
I am not religious and I grew up under atheist parents. I was always fascinated by religion, I like the whole "family, togetherness, pro-health, and financial strength" aspects of it.
What do you think is the best religion for job/business prospects, and finding a hot wife?
I was thinking Mormon (I like booze, and not really a believer) or 7th Day Adventist (latinas, but not ghetto trash), any others?
I am in california if it makes any difference?
Catholics have a lot of old money and connections. Plus they are all alcoholics. They also are actually really interesting to learn the history of the faith which other faiths can't really compete with. Or Jewish, but that's the obvious answer.
Jews = God Tier
Catholic/Protestant = Pretty good tier
I'm surprised more businessmen here aren't involved with church. Even if you don't believe a single word you hear, being involved with a church pays MASSIVE dividends on your career/business success.
I'll probably make an extra $10k this year because men in church helped me with a few deals.
> Protip: It's not about the sunday service, join a small group.
I was thinking Jewish, but the women are F-, and my penis wants to stay un-mutilated.
