Hello guys, I started a new business, transcription and translation services, I used to work as a transcriber and translator. But I need to know if you can help me, or you know good ways to advertise... Where to advertise, how to advertise etc.. etc...

Wow, you started a business without a plan on how you will reach potential customers....

Not a good start for success. I guess you should hire some mass marketing email companies to send out mass emails to potential companies/ customers.

why the FUCK do usury laws exist? Why can't I get easy money by loaning mentally challenged people $20 with 500% monthly compounding interest?

Honestly interview is probably the easiest part compared to actually getting that far in the first place
>90% GPA

>Apply for vacation programs at the most basic entry level
>hardly progress past the first round

EY here alone had about 16k applicants for vacationers and that's probably less than a few hundred positions nationally

I put all my life savings in ($6300) which means by the end of September I should have like $30k which I can then reinvest. My question is, what sort of house should I buy when I finally cash in on all this stuff? What investments should I make so I never have to work another day in my life?

Also what about credit card debt? Its the same story. Comenity and Synchrony banks are handing out massive credit limits to subprime borrowers to stores like Walmart, Lowes, etc.

The entire US economy is literally a supermassive bubble lad. It's supposed to go through cycles of inflation and solidification (return to the mean with a slight gain)

The competition strategy of the country is to inflate every single possible bubble as much as possible if the need arises so their economy remains the world leader, while (most of) everyone else is based on a well-grounded long-term investment of stability and shorter and smaller cycles, like the EU for an example. DB is just a matter of bad luck that wont be repeated if you're going to throw that at me

That way of operating an economy isn't necessarily bad, but it pretty much bases its entire existence on the fact that most other leading economies will either collapse with it, or before it. If that fails to happen (as in the case of WW2 and Germany/Japan), well, you know what happens.
Capital would want to flee to the safer places (like the EU or China if neither collapse), therefor the US will undertake offensive measures against that and fabricate wars they don't even have a single claim to fight (like abusing NATO as an offensive front towards irrelevant non-existent threats), or straight up end up dragging the rest of the world with it.

I personally think that it will indeed go through a massive crash, the biggest one so far, and that the first choice of capital flight would be the EU, which is exactly why they're trying to behave as passive and beta as possible and not seem aggressive, rather calm and stable. That attempt at stability has recently been disrupted by too many terror attacks, which will force them to seriously increase internal security so as to preserve stability and democracy (and therefor capital attraction in case of a crash).

Expect a unified European police force soon, and I'm not even memeing. You heard it here first. Dump all your money in EU stocks right after the EU market "crashes" for a brief moment

here's all of Ally Financials ABS
https://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar?action=getcompany&CIK=0001477336&owner=exclude&count=40&hidefilings=0

it will have the data for each of ABS pools - how many loans in each pool, how many are delinquent/charged off, etc.

each of the auto lenders reports data like that. if you have a car loan, you can usually figure out which pool your loan is in.

Why is the Austrian School wrong?
14 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
It isn't.
>>
There really isn't anything terribly wrong with it, it is just that their "praxeology" is a bottom-up approach which contrasts with the top-down approach favored by university administrators and government bureaucrats so it is unpopular in academia.

First post, best post

I'm looking for a new job to make some money as I'm taking a semester off college for some other reasons.

What are the most /biz/-approved jobs in such a tight situation? I'm thinking Server at a restaurant or maybe security guard (because I've heard you're mostly stationary and thus can earn money online for example while also earning your regular wage).

Any thoughts? Would getting hired as a server be particularly difficult as a male without serving experience? I've unironically noticed it's mostly pretty girls who get hired as servers( for obvious reasons ), would I have a chance or should I focus my efforts applying elsewhere?

Server's fine as long as you can get into a good restaurant. You don't need experience but sell yourself in the interview. When I was 18 I had too much confidence and went in and met with the owner and sold him on why I'd be a great waiter. He hired me because he could tell I had the people skills to do the job. Be confident, funny, charismatic, etc.

That advice can hold true for a lot of jobs. It'll be tough to make decent money without experience, but it's not impossible. Just keep looking and don't settle. Believe you deserve what you're asking for and then deliver once you're hired. Talk to friends/family about employment opportunities. I got a job from 20-23 making 34-50k/year driving in my car for 6 hours 5 days a week, because my boss was a family friend and I asked him.

Nice.

Any specific tips to really stand out in an interview for a serving position? How can I make myself look really good if I don't have any experience?

http://restaurantblackops.com/how-to-get-a-job-as-a-waiter-without-experience/

this guide is pretty solid. pretty much what I did. went in around 2pm and the owner was at the bar. I asked to speak with him and just had a 10 minute conversation basically. this was at Carrabba's so obviously not the highest standards, but the same principles apply anywhere. Smile a lot, be funny, be pleasant, be polite. Frankly, there's not much to being a server so if you're intelligent and can talk to people normally you'll be fine in the interview. Just go on interviews til you get hired.

Just did a couple days of day labor and made $175 . Am currently an otherwise unemployed NEET with all my needs taken care of for now. Can I start a business with this $175 ? I'm 22, have a highschool diploma, am fairly handy and good with computes and have decent social skills.

Invest in some quality kneepads.
>>
You could paint or do landscaping if you have a car.
>>
>>1412127
You could do these >>1412136

If you're good at computes you could put an ad on craigslist or some other site offering to solve/fix computes problems for $.

You could go to yard sales and buy $175 worth of items and sell them for $225+.

Just pick a business idea you like and start small using only $175 to do a few jobs that would earn more than that

In about 3 weeks I'll be heading off to college to start a degree in Business, Finance. I was wondering if there are any finance or business majors who could give me any tips or advice on what to expect.

Also, any success stories are always nice as well.

I know wall street oasis but was wondering if i could hear some feedback on /biz/ as well

Can i ask why move go UK is unlikely? Brexit shitstorm has scared a lot people out of UK for example MD of JPMorgan recently, so i was thinking perhaps that chaos will drive demand for outside workers, minus some cutbacks due to that same uncertaintly of course
