so I just inherited $2,000. Is this enough to live the rest of my days in solitude?
If you go inna woods, Go full hermit mode, and live off of hunting your own food
Then YES

>>1436618
It is if you give it to me to invest for you.
I have a crack portfolio with very solid returns.
At least one bank robbery before fourth quarter if enough people invest.
so I just inherited $2,000. Is this enough to live the rest of my days in solitude?

so I just inherited $2,000. Is this enough to live the rest of my days in solitude?
>>1436602
nope
sure.
>>1436602
Define how short a period "Rest of your days is"
Success fucking sucks. Half the people will be leeches and use you. The other half will utterly despise you. No middle ground.
>>1436571
Who's that fag?
maybe you're just unlikable
>>1436574
You don't know who that is? Why that's the late great comedian George Carlin.
How are my bitcoin holders doing?

In 2013 my personal finance teacher had us by $500,000 worth of stock on google finance and at the end of the semester we would see who had made the most money.
I lost to a guy who put all of his money in Apple stock, but this is what my portfolio looks like in 2016.
Did I do good senpai? Should I put real money in the market based on this?
(this doesn't include the $20,000 in dividends)
>>1436510
Yeah m8 history will repeat itself 100%

>All these lame ass frat bros and sorority girls playing golf to network and demonstrate status
>I'm over here playing croquet like someone who actually knows whats up
Why do people literally play a meme sport that they think rich people play? Do they actually think they'll network through it?
>>1436487
Maybe they're just having fun, and not the insane bullshit you're projecting onto them?
>>1436487
Status and networking are part of golf's appear (especially status imo), but these people enjoying the game before anything else. Otherwise they wouldn't insist.
For "status", you could also get into polo, fox hunting, fencing, or whatever.
>2016
>not playing LoL in your mom's basement
Hey /biz/
Lets say my objective is to retire as early as possible and just live the NEET life. I am happy with an income of £20,000 (inflation adjusted). Given that most global equity funds (say Blackrock 50:50) can get an average return of 10% per year, If I can save up £200,000, can I just live of the growth and never work again?
Forget actually getting the 200K, that's a separate issue, my question is if my plan is feasible. I like in the UK and will be investing in an ISA so no Tax on my fund growth.
R8 my plan /10
Markets could be down for an extended period of time
Are you planning on just selling off $20k worth a year and living off that?
I don't think an isa will pay enough in a year to cover even 1 month

Jesus fucking christ.
>>1436403
Ima buy now
who the fuck does those mega pumps ssr
>>1436403

i want make some money on mturk but don't want give them my personal information. I am non-us. How looks gift card? They give it to my account?
>>1436400
It's given to your account but I don't know why you would want to do mturk anything. It pays like shit. Go work for Bitcoin or something, far better use of your time.
I used it as a teenager for pocket money. Definitely not worth your time as an adult.
>>1436400
I will give you half of what you earn if you want to use my info. Pay you via PayPal once per month.
Im stuck on an assembly line 10 hours a day, 6 days a week. But Im able to use my phone and I have about ~10 seconds out of every 50.
Is there anything I can do online from my phone to earn a little bit of spare change on the side? Nothing that requires continuous attention as I have my actual job to do.
Pretty much the only thing I can find atm is doing surveys but wow are they shit, even for being stuck at work with nothing better to do. Typing large amounts is also a pain and takes awhile.
Currently researching the basics of starting a small business and online skills such as marketing. Figured if I cant DO anything I can at least learn. If I cant find anything better to do I plan on buyiny a tablet with a keyboard to write or code while at work.
I use this app called Lucktastic that lets you earn credits for watching ads, but it takes a long time to get points. Only got enought to get a $20 gift card after 3 months
Similar to >>1436464
You could pick up bing rewards during the idle time. Only amounts to like $5/month if you take Amazon cards, but is insanely braindead and takes a few minutes a day.
>>1436313
>10 hours a day, 6 days a week
jesus christ do you live in bangladesh or something
What's /biz/'s honest opinion of this man?
>>1436285
Ben is aright. He's no Greenspan but he gets the job done.
Inherited a very tough follow up position
Did ok i guess. Time will tell
>>1436285

What sports/hobbies do successful people play?
Social engineering on a national scale
>>1436339
/thread
>>1436251
stop with this homosexual attitude already. What do successfull peoples play? Why? Do you think that mimicking what another man does especially something trivial like a sport will makes you successfull like them? What is success faggot? Being rich? It is easy even ivan ivanovich can make it half drunk off watercoolent liquid vodka. You make me think of this faggot that i know who thinks he is a "strategist"(kek) and bought two phones to mimick overworked peoples who need that to separate their private life from their business life. KYS
Exactly how much of a meme is university?
I'm getting the idea that working your way up in a business, or doing an apprenticeship is much more valuable, and you don't get the debt.
The only really useful degree outside of le STEM maymay seems to be a business degree too, even then that seems pointless when you can get hands-on experience and knowledge, instead of throwing away 3-4 years of your youth on what boils down to something purely theoretical.
I've studied mechanical engineering and as much as i can say it pretty much turned me upside down. I would do it again. Just my 2 cents.

How much did it help in gaining success/cash/career advancement?
