Has anybody here ever gone through a staffing company to find /biz/ related employment? Recent (desperate) graduate looking for a job making a livable income. My expectations aren't high, I just need something to get me by/stay productive for the time being.
>>1438965
Aren't staffing companies for like temporary office admin and factory shit?
>>1438969
Not exactly, supposedly there are plenty of people (both entry level and experienced) who utilize them for numerous job fields including accounting, supply chain, actuary, ect.
>>1438973
dunno, go for it then
personally i've only seen them hire people for literal slave labor like assembly of car parts or other monotonous factory work
Hello /biz/.
I'm a software engineer and I'm tired of working for pennies because i live in eastern Europe. I also don't wanna leave home.
I can automate pretty much any task you can think of. How can I use this to make sillymoney?
Are crypto bots profitable? If yes, what should I be aiming for? Margin trading, predicting prices..?
pic mostly unrelated
>>1438941
>I can automate pretty much anything
Ever consider automating thongs that will make you money?
>>1439031
I did. And then I came here looking for advice as to what those things should be.
>>1439048
Steam items for btc, Altcoins follow the pump and dumps, build a gambling site
Best of /biz/?
>>1438926
She deserved every bit of that.
Deleting some /biz/ items I had saved so will dump here if anyone is intetested
>Saw ad "$1800/mth tax free per child for foster parent, become one today!"
Is this a good way to make money?
If I adopt 3 kids it's almost $6k tax free, seems fantastic. After living expenses for them ill probably be taking home $4500/mth AT LEAST
anyone do this before? Thoughts?
>>1438890
Sounds like a great idea, just setup a child farm and watch the neetbux roll in
>>1438891
Huh?
This seems brilliant. $1800 per kid is nothing to laugh at, if I get them some cheap clothing and food ill be saving so much
How could nobody tell that pic related was full of shit?

>31 yr old billionaire
>implying there's a formula to her success
>implying it wasn't nepotism or a random lightning bolt or both

>>1438883
She got her seed money from her rich parents, and I'm guessing that they set her up with her initial investors as well given that one was the head of a major charity and one was high up in the state department.
So nepotism yes, but who were the suckers?
>>1438883
>success
kek. she defrauded investors for billions.
How much would lonely women pay for a pet cat who could change colors like a chameleon?
Over 9000 $
More than for a regular cat, I guess. At least 50% more, but you'd probably have a smaller customer base.
How do you plan to breed such a cat?
The guy who owns pic related is a billionaire. Why doesn't he just throw 100 million for a movies budget and take 100% of the box office? Wouldn't he make a lot more money doing that than splitting it with 4 or 5 producers
>>1438792
He's distributing the risk.
Hedging. Why risk 10% of your wealth on one investment when you don't have to.
>>1438792
Films are hit or miss. Studios rely on the law of large numbers to turn a profit. And when you're playing that game, the more cash you have, the better.
So I live in California and I'm looking to purchase about an acre of untouched land zoned for farming.
What should I grow /biz/? Safe money is on something..well..safe. But the legalized pot industry is emerging and I'd like to get on it on the ground floor. However, the county has a population of like 2000 people and they're mostly white christian conservatives so I feel a militant backlash.
Pls advise
You won't be able to compete with giant corporate pot farms once it's legalized. The price will drop substantially as well.
It's like saying going into the corn business with one acre of land.
>>1438796
Okay so thats out. I dont wanna buy into the mushrooms meme but i understand that potted landscaping trees are pretty damn lucrative
>>1438797
Does the land have water hook ups? Shits crazy expensive to get installed if not.
So I'm trying to get a mortgage for a nice condo. My credit's good and I work two jobs, one full time and salaried and one part time; biweekly. My full time job pays pretty good, but the problem is that I'm put on call during June and July, and I may not get paid for those two months. I do get paid by my part time job year round though.
If the lender saw that I don't get paid for two months by my full time job, would that fuck me out of the mortgage, or would they be like "hey, he saves up and does have a separate job, so he should be able to pay for those two months"? Is there any way they'd be able to check that?
If you can't afford to put 20% down up front, you can't afford it anyways.
>>1438799
A deposit isn't really an issue, it's just getting the damn thing. My worry is that they'll check my income and notice those two months without me getting paid by my full time job. Or do they just mostly look at W2s?
Banks are going to look at your financial picture as a whole. debt/income ratio or Assets vs liabilities etc. If your mortgage is 10% of a regular months income, your debt free and good credit, probably not a big deal. And Yes! there's an easy way to check that. Go to the bank and apply for a loan.

>don't want to unleash the sperg 'tism
>What do you say on the phone when you follow up a cold job application?
I've emailed a bunch of companies in the industry I want to get into, now it's time to phone them all and follow up.
I guess there's a few points I need to hit, and I need to write down what I'm going to say so that I don't lose my spaghetti everywhere.
eg.
"Hi, my name is Anon. Recently I posted in a copy of my resume. I was hoping to touch base with the right person to see if they had had a chance to look it over, or if there were any upcoming positions at X Company"
I'm open to suggestions about how to change the wording
Then at the end I just thank them for their time
or maybe
"Hi, my name is Anon. Recently I posted in a copy of my resume. I was hoping to touch base with the right person to see if they had had a chance to look it over, or if they were aware of any upcoming positions at X Company"
I think Centrelink should give out free Beta blockers. Jesus christ.
"hello, i am anon, pls employ me"
The stock market is doing well. Too well. And I am a nervous wreck.
Aren't we on that first part of the roller coaster where the track goes "CLICK-CLICK-CLICK-CLICK"? It's always at its peak right before the drop.
The stock market seems to be succeeding in spite of common sentiment and feeling and fiscal performance of the economy at large. Are the markets no longer a reflection of... the markets? What do stocks represent, then?
It could keep clicking for another three years.
If you're so confident that the market is overvalued, short the market and wait for the correction.
How do you measure the strength of the economy? I suggest using Fed Reserve Data and looking through some data series - learn how interpret what you see.
https://fred.stlouisfed.org/
Stocks ultimately represent expectations for earnings and future company profitability (to investors).
They represent whatever to whomever is buying. An interesting saying is "In the short term stock market is a voting booth in the long term the stock market is a weighing mechanism"
Hey guys,
let's assume my family has 2 million euro
let's assume they have all of this in cash in the deutsche bank in a normal savings account
let's assume the deutsche bank goes bankrupt tomorrow
how fucked are we?
>>1438711
It won't. But if you are worried, spread the money around among several banks. I don't know the insured amount but it should be somewhere around couple hundred thousands per bank.
>>1438716
100k € per bank
>>1438711
Looks like they are going to lose 1.9 milli.
Not so bad afterall.
Biz help me break free of these regrets:
>be me, oldfag
>7 years ago leave homestate with friends and family to live in another state 10 hours away
>grew and established myself at my job, but increasingly becoming cynical and hating my work immensely
>average 12 hour days, no social life, no family
>in the meantime however, with no hope in moving back, i bought a house 2 years ago- absolutely love everything about it, but live alone
>job becomes even worse. All the same jobs in the state will be the same work load that gets progressively worse
>get new job offer back in my home state with much less responsibility, and a little less pay, but will have social life and actually be happy
>over time salary will be better
>put house i love on the market that i couldnt get to enjoy and quit my job
>accepted new job
>now having regrets about moving and having to start all over again...but new job will make me happy and bring me closer to friends and family
Anyone here sacrifice to simply be happy again? I think newfags need input as they alot will need to make the same choice.
Please give me hope that i made the right decision to start over for happiness.
You went from miserable to not miserable and you're questioning the choice you made?
>>1438664
I'll be there soon. Workin hard, earning decent money with the view to wind back my work schedule and start enjoying more time with family... I might even make some friends
>>1438670
Less pay and starting over in your profession, after 7 years of establishing yourself.

You /biz/raelis are lucky I am always up to date with blockchain technology and news. I genuinely believe this project has some future. I was honestly eagerly waiting for someone to come up with something like this regarding the blockchain. I am only shilling for those of you who care about freedom and censorship online: the ICO has just begun, so if you guys are interested you can buy at the cheapest price and with the highest bonus, I sure did.
There is an article about the project from a reputable source, just go and find the article on coindesk (filter doesn't allow me to post it)
Apparently spam filter is a fucking faggot so I couldn't post the sign up page, it's pic related. The page has a referral. Of course it doesn't cost you anything to use my referral, but feel free to just type the URL and sign-up without it, I am not going to beg or anything, I am all about freedom.
My bad, the article is actually on cointelegraph
How the hell does it work?
