You need to physically create a test model of your product. Since you havent described what your product is, you need to actually go about creating the product yourself using materials that you have purchased using machines you or somone else own, so you yourself can get a figure of how much it costs to assemble X product. If you do not have the money to assemble said prototype yourself, you are doomed, no one pays good money ideas, because everyone has one. People pay money for established or establishing companys that they believe in. I would recommend googling how to find a person to manufacture your product.

Around $1132 in Vanguard account, that started at $1000 in March.

About $4400 cash, set aside to daytrade with.

I have made ~$210 on $500 I initially used to daytrade leveraged ETFs like UWTI/DWTI as well as Tesla, Exxon Mobil, and Barrick Gold. That was from late March/early April to late June.

I think I've done pretty well, have had a trade go wrong where I lost like $120, but I managed to earn it back. Currently, just trying new things as I don't have enough to optimize returns.

Once I land a job, I will be putting most of my money into tax advantaged accounts and doing something like 40% Total US Market VTI, 30% International Stock VXUS, 10% RIET fund (VNQ), 12-15% US bond market, 5-8% International Bond market. and maybe setting aside 30% of my extra money for trading.

The cup takes three weekends, with the second weekend of the Group Stages taking place this Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Each team plays 3 matches in their groups, /biz/ has played 1 of those three (A 3-2 loss to /tv). /biz/ is scheduled to play these final two matches:

August 12th (Friday), 19:30 UTC (3:30 PM EDT): vs. /m/
August 14th (Sunday, 19:30 UTC (3:30 PM EDT): vs. [s4s]

These times are probably going to change, since we'll be the 6th match each day - expect the match to start anywhere between 3:30 and 4:30 EDT each day.

The top two teams from that group will play in the knockouts on August 20th/21st. Hopefully we'll get to that point, and see where things go from there.

Yup. It's corny as all hell and some people take it way too seriously. /sp/ treats it like a religion, some boards take it way too seriously, and there are some teams that have small armies of managers and testers that try to make their teams SLIGHTLY better than others.

The way I see it, it's a fun little event that might introduce some casual viewers/fans to /biz/ as a board - if it gets a few people to browse and post or get involved, it's a cool bonus. It's a little silly to take "people pretending to play soccer on a video game" seriously, but it's also cool to get people interested and involved on /biz/ and learn a little bit about other boards.

The links below should have everything you need to know about the /biz/ team and the actual cup schedule. I'll be here to answer any questions obviously, and to try to keep things a little hyped for the match this weekend.
