Whats up with all these forex traders following me on instagram? Is this a classic pyramid?
Anyone have any experience with this kind of trading?
>>1444796
Yeah, it sucks.
Forex is legitimate, but everything about it is so loose that you will be buying knee pads from the brokers.
>>1444710
He looks legit, has a wife, kids, works as a commercial manager at newport county afc, if its fake, the job was well done, his job is legit
>see: http://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/news/features/first_person/11627738.FIRST_PERSON__James_Watts__commercial_manager_at_Newport_County/
Didnt check the university and school records, because lazy, he seems legit to me, but it still might be somewhat fishy.

When settling with a title company, is it better to bring a cashier's check or do a wire transfer? They seem to want a wire transfer over a cashier's check as the money is instant.
a check is good if you live in the 70s
>>1444676
>>1444676
It seems like you have answered your own question. Fees for wires tend to be higher than cashiers checks. Also when you call or come in to do the wire have the goddamn wiring instructions ready.
>>1444679
As a former teller, plenty of old people, computer illiterates, and fags love their paper checks.
Hi, /biz/, I'm 19 and I like drugs and music.
I'm currently studying Theoretical Computer Science, and I'm gonna start working after I finish college.
I wanna achieve total independence - as in having enough money to live and smoke weed without having to work.
So what is the fastest way to do that? Depositing money in bank and collecting interest? Buying and renting property?
I'm a total noob when it comes to business, so I don't know what to do once I finish college.
>>1444662
p.s. I live in good ol Europe, in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
>>1444662
You'll need a lot of money to live off the interest. Best get saving. If you stay at home and work a full time job you can speed run life
>>1444662
the fastest way? get a fucking job! Jesus, how do you not know this?
Does anyone on /biz/ own a popular franchise? I have a few questions.
What's the name of the franchise?
How much were the startup costs?
How much profit do you take home annually?
Is this a safe business opportunity?
Any other questions pertaining to the ownership and operation of a franchise are welcome. This looks like a great business that often generates very large profits if the chain is big enough.
I own Kneepads R' Us
Profits keep comming, hard and fast
I dont own one, but ive looked into it.
McD's costs between 900,000 and 2.5 M for most (town square NYC, or london way more).
When they flash numbers (which they try to always hide) they talk in terms of gross sales often in 2 million - 4 million (claimed), and and return 5-15% of income from a sale.
Lots of ifs, ands, buts...
McD's was a great way to make money, and they allow you to buy multiple franchises unlike 7-11 (checkout http://www.unhappyfranchisee.com/ ).
McD's are clean, expensive, but they have TONS of competition these days...
Would you rather go to McD's or In'N'Out, habit, or another $1-$2 more expensive but much nicer burger...
I have not bought a burger at mcdonalds for a long time, but I go there on road trips 100% of the time for the bathroom, ice cream cone, coffee, egg mcmuffin, etc... Huge menu.... not like old school mcdonalds...
Franchisors also contorl the sale of the franchise, and can eliminate up to 20% of the sale value when you are ready to retire...
McDonalds can be a gold mine, but very risky if you start one in a new location like the midwest, or on a highway, or main street of a small highway town that gets bypassed... Lots of hidden risks.
Best piece of advice...
Work at the franchise you want to buy for 6 months as a bitch... don't say you are interested in buying one... be humble... learn the business...

friend #1; ACE hardware store. start up $ = land , building , ~1 million inventory. financed 100% through bank (has multiple businesses with the bank already). He makes enough profit that the bank just loaned him 100% of the startup for his second hardware store.
friend #2: 7-11 convenience stores. has 3 of them. hates it , everyone steals, but he went from "I'm retiring in 15 years" to "I'm retiring in 3 years," really quick.
this is all the info they will give up. and there are no "safe" business opportunities.
Hey /biz/, ill be finishing high school soon and i would really like to start a small business of my own. startup money wont be a problem as my family does have pretty much lots, but im really short of ideas so im open to suggestions.

Why not use an LLC to write of electric utilities expense from mining cryptocoins? Why won't this work?
>>1444535
It would. As long as youre paying caputal gains on the sale of the cryptos.
The fact that the electric cost is deducted from taxes still doesnt necessarily make the mining profitable though
>>1444540
Thanks anon.
>doesn't necessarily make the mining profitable
This is primarily an issue of scale, correct?
residential electric rates are significantly lower then business/commercial so the llc would have to operate out of residential zoned building, possibly illegal? and taxes, really, you want to do that
?
How do I ace an interview? How do I act? What do I respond to the usual questions? I usually have less work experience than the other candidates so I have to stand out somehow.
>>1444511
What kind of interview is it?
If it's a technical interview, answer all their questions as correctly as you can. If you don't know the answer, admit it and think of a good reason if they ask why not.
If it's just a straight interview, get a feel for the room and personalities of your interviewers. Be personable. If they ask you about your work experience, try to hit the points that would be relevant to the position you're interviewing for. Don't go off on tangents with your responses, keep it simple. Be confident. It's not an interrogation, they're trying to evaluate your personality and how you would fit in.
If you're worried about generic "interview questions" go look up a list and have responses ready. Depending on the interviewer or employer they may not even ask you any of those.
>>1444547
thanks
not technical, jobs like sales, hr, tourism, retail, manager stuff
I'm kinda bad with the confident thing even tought I try to relax and smile

What's a fancy name for assistant manager/director? Do you guys use the pleb title or something diffrent?

Should I feel guilty for not wanting a routine or a schedule?
I went for a walk today (I'm a smart but lazy graduate who only works a menial job) and felt guilty for not learning stuff or doing work at that moment
>>1444498
Guilt would be a waste of time. Feel how you feel. If you feel like you should be doing more, do more.
Everybody's different though and some genius businessmen waste time and do acid or smoke weed, some grind nonztop.
>smart but lazy graduate
