Underarmour...
I dont know who buys it, I dont go to the gym or have friends honestly.
It has a 100 P/E, do blacks and whites buy it/
Is it the American Adidas (track suits for americans instead of slavs?)
>>1446603
I doubt it will drop significantly, short SPY instead
>>1446603
>It has a 100 P/E, do blacks and whites buy it/
It doesn't matter which race buys it.
Their market share isn't growing fast enough to justify their ridiculous endorsement deals.
If the company ever has any hiccups in revenue, those endorsement costs are going to be a huge liability.

Go to bed, Satan.
>go for a walk on a sunny day
>existential crisis intensifies
>see secondary school kids going home and feel jelly that they have belonging
>walking around places that will be crawling with hedonistic sex having students later this year
>have potential to do stuff but too much FOMO stops me doing anything
Can ANYTHING be fulfilling? I don't know how to fill my time. It's all spooks as far as the eye can see.
>>1446526
Sorry for being ignorant but what does FOMO mean?
>>1446570
fear of missing out
>>1446526
you do realize FOMO os a self fulfilling prophecy, right?
>acquire job/knowledge
>grab beer
>ask this one nice girl out
>repeat the above over and over and over
>pay your taxes in between and die someday looking back onto a fulfilled life.
That's simple.
It's even easier than walking around and come up with all those thoghs and anxieties crossing your mind. I mean, how hard must you concentrate to come up with these and constantly compare your life to others?
I have a trader job interview soon. I want to prepare as much as possible for mental arithmetic and probability.

Hey /biz/, I'm a GM at a B lot in ohio. I do mostly subprime and near prime auto loans, with a few AAA loans peppered in. But its mostly shit. Anyways, my question is if you guys have any experience or insight on the business, and how you feel about the subprime loan boom we've been seeing over the last couple of years in comparison with the housing crisis a few years back. I've noticed year by year that my banks are getting more lenient with their stips. Hell, I can write a work letter for fucking anyone's income. What do you guys think? Did banks learn their lesson, or is the auto industry facing a possible crash within the next few years from all these failing loans as the banks get more lenient with stipulations on loans?
Tl;dr, will the auto market follow the housing market?
>>1446488
It's funny you should bring this up because it was just on a recent episode of Last Week Tonight. Anyways I think that the consensus is that there is less money in general in the car loan industry compared to the mortgage industry pre-2008. Also, of the car loan industry a smaller portion of the loans are sub prime compared to the housing bubble, so overall I think it will have a negative effect, but it will be much, much smaller than the subprime housing crisis and probably contained to the automotive and related industries. That isn't to say that it won't be devastating to the affected businesses.
>>1446488
the difference between the housing boom and auto loans is that you can more easily repossess an automobile and sell it for what was owed on the loan. The banks are less exposed.
people with money dont want or need a used car though. They buy a car new and keep it for 8 years.
people with no money have to make car payments for 5 years on a used car and the used car doesnt last 5 years and they end up having to roll the owed balance onto their next used car.
>>1446513
That's my opinion on it as it stands as well, however the affected businesses are definitely a big concern of mine since that's my livelyhood. I remember a few years back when the auctions were damn near empty because no one was trading anything.
Hey boys and girls, I've just started my own business.
Starting with small apps, then slowly moving onto tougher stuff such as webdev, server hosting in the future. Then finally diversifying into other markets like mechanical/chemical engineering.
Have a team of friends from various backgrounds all keen to invest their time.
What tips can you guys give??

Never start a business with friends.

I've actually taken the night rider route, making interns work for free while they get a stake in company for a few years.

Also, you're obviously a delusional idiot.
I just got a job that offers a 401k. I know the company is suppose match that percent. What I would like to know is, if the they only match 1%. Is it even worth it? Is there something else to a 401k, than just stuffing money into it?
You should max to whatever your employer will match. You are guaranteed to double your money. Why wouldnt you?
>>1446362
I was told it was free money. I guess the problem was just me. I was thinking it be a higher %
>>1446380
I myself throw 10% and my employer does absolutely 0 matching.
I was taught a rough guideline is the 10, 20, 70 rule. 10 percent for long time (retirement), 20 percent for large purchaes (car, house, etc.), and 70 percent for your current living expenses. This can change obviously. If you only need 50% of your paycheck for your bills, invest it in your future (or pay down debts which I also think is obvious)
if your employer matches only 1%, throw I think you should throw another 8-9% into an IRA (Roth or Standard depending on your situation).
Decided to invest half my savings account.
I came to think of Blizzard.
>Hearthstone is a huge success
>So is Overwatch
>World of Warcrafts next expansion releases in 14 days
Surely the future of Blizzard is bright, at least short term?
I'm thinking about investing 2100 dollarydoos, but I have no idea how the American market works (I'm Swedish).
Would it be a good time now or just completely retarded? I'm a complete newcomer to stocks and such.
>>1446207
I'm going to put 5% of my portfolio in them, good pick. But all of your port? Really? Today would be a good entry, ATVI follows the market which is on a dip. Go for it but be cautious, you can always buy more later.
>>1446211
I'm awful at stocks. I have a Swedish stock that I have more permanent. I was just thinking that now would be a good time for a quick investment, earn some money and then put it all back into my Swedish stock 3-4 months after Legion launches.
>>1446219
It won't act that way, legion is priced in. But it will go up when the market goes up. And it has a good future ahead, it's more of a long term investment. If you buy today and sell for profit when the S&P is pulling numbers the that's a good plan, but it's not going to just go up cause legion launched. There's probably better short term scalps but you're smart in going for what you already know well. I do the same with vidya and gun stocks.

Let's consider that Trump wins the Presidential elections of 2016. And let's consider that he really wants to build a 10 billion dollar fence / wall on the border of Mexico.
What companies would benefit from this project? I am talking about (iron) mines, construction companies, ...
>>1446165
Whatever construction company Trump is the sole owner of.
>really wants to
The president doesn't have authority to do that. Legislative branch would have to approve. I don't think that would happen
president =/= dictator
>>1446189
Legally incorrect, as there are a lot of levers he could pull - an executive order, ordering an agency to do it, etc. I agree with you in theory, and kinda wish it worked that way, but it doesn't work that way in practice.
>>1446166
Probably also incorrect. Government contracting is complicated and has a bazillion rules.
>>1446165
You're thinking the right way - design, materials, construction. Problem is, it's unclear what the wall would in fact be made of or who would get the contract.
The better move might be to speculate on what winners/losers would be created from a sudden sharp enforcement in immigration policies. For example, I bet a lot of construction firms and farmers might find their costs going up.
Computer science and econ student here.

I get to choose to make any kind of econ software with my group as a university project.
Post your suggestions and I will probably make that into a free piece of software as my uni project if the suggestion is realistic.

Hello Biz.
I'm thinking about starting a business. My first consideration is starting and ecommerce site.
We will import stuffs from china and like that and sell.
The problem is, there are so many ecommerce sites like this. I think the market is over saturated and we have very bleak chance coming in top.
Let me know what you think about this!
Regards. I'm really looking forward to hearing biz suggestions.
>>1446153
the search engine market was over saturated b4 google,
the social network areana was over saturated b4 facebook twitter whats app tinder etc.
w/e just do a good job what u wanna see different.
>>1446155
That's bullshit
>>1446153
>ecommerce site selling "stuff" from China
If you mean you're going to resell alibaba shit to westerners then just stop yourself there, because it's not going to be worth setting the business up.
If you're reselling branded goods from trustworthy suppliers then yeah, you have a decent chance as long as you sell for as cheap as possible, and ship as fast as possible, so as to not fuck the business up.
>>1446164
how do you say?
how do you figure!?
no .
it is it who thinks you are the buleshit my friend.
Is CFA certificate worth it? What about MBA?
Is it worth it in terms of getting a well paying job out of it in the end? CFA is about 7k$ and MBA is about 20k$ where I'm from.
I'm going to study programming in collage, but lately developed interest in finance and trading, therefore seek out for certificates. However, I treat it as a hobby right now, but want to complete something on the side from finance along with programming.
>>1446107
>collage
Stick to programming, anon.
>>1446112
Are you actually going to shitpost on me for making an error spelling mistake. Are you really offended over words so bad to turn into autist
>>1446107
it depends... if you work in a buy side firm then CFA is more or less a standard requirement as you progress, if you work in a bank (in a business role) it is less useful but perhaps nice to have
if you work in IT it probably isn't going to change much for you - you're unlikely to suddenly become a trader, portfolio manager just because you studied for a CFA. Maybe it would help with moving into a business analyst role but it is rather a lot of effort for fairly marginal gain not to mention not really required.
MBA more useful if you're actually progressing through an organisation - sure if you're from some target school then you can do a few years in the workforce then go for an MBA and carry on in your top banking, consulting etc.. career. If you're not that profile then it is of limited use unless you're actually progressing career wise.
It isn't uncommon to see IT people with CFA these days working in banks... yet it isn't the golden ticket for them to move from their QA, support, whatever... role.
I have seen one indian guy, working in first line application support with both 'CFA' and 'MBA' in his e-mail sig, and he wasn't really any more competent at his job or at understanding functional/business issues than anyone else in the team.
these things will take a lot of work to complete, only you are really in a position to figure out if they're going to offer significant benefit to you or just marginal benefit for the amount of effort you're going to have to put in to obtain them.
Got an interview with one of the big 4 for a position in restructuring, how do I convince them to give me one of those rare jobbos
>>1446097
Same here. Good luck mate. I can't definitively say what will work and what won't though.
>>1446098
you too. What are your qualifications etc? how'd you end up in restructuring, I hardly meet anyone interested in it
is it deloitte? if so, enjoy hell.
if you are missing nimirum ICO right now, you are stupid.

>please buy my shitcoin
My opinion for anyone looking to buy into nimirum
It's OK.. it's going to get overbought when it gets big though, that's the only problem with it, I can for sure see that when people start to really pick up on it that they will heavily invest on it. It's really just in the super early stages right now.
