Anyone have experience with owning storage units?

I've been looking into it, seems like a decent investment, especially over multi-family real estate.

Low utility cost, cheap metal building fabrication, minimal upkeep.

Thoughts?

Low barriers to entry mean a lot of competition.
>>
>>1447372
True, there are a lot of themy in the area.

I suppose a good probe would be to simply find out if the existing ones have vacancies

My cousins husband owns a few carpet shops and rents the shipping units out as a side business, he does pretty good from it.

I love that alibabba made it so that all westerners can experience the joy of doing business with the Chinese =^)
>>

i was looking at the dispute process, and it allows you to dispute if you have proof that item is counterfeit. Aliexpress will normally side with the seller... i was wondering if anyone has done this ?

Am i the only one tired of the index fund meme?

Sure, not everyone can beat the market but if you are disciplined and talented its very much possible.

When buffet stated that its impossible it was to protect the general simple minded and less intelligent lazy public from trying, and failing. Obviously thats not his "real" opinion.
26 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
nothing to do with talent. It's just educated guessing and someone is bound to be an outlier who succeeds more than others by sheer chance.

Only idiots think the rich are super special/intelligent.

It's called passive income for a reason.

I've been using it for the past two months, pretty pleased so far. It's a good way to start investing imo. I wouldn't use it seriously if you have a large income/sum of money.

Hi first time really coming to this board. Didn't even know we had a financial board until very recently but I remember there being finance threads on /sci/, did this board come about from those posters or something something else?

Anyway just wondering if there are any legit traders on this board or is it just like meme coins?

Here's a trade I've been taking all week until it lost today. Also, please don't use hacker magic to hack my account please.

And you came up with a name, too? Amazing!

I have another fresh idea. Imagine: A chain resteraunt where the food takes a decent amount of time to be prepared and costs more? But in return the customers get that real high class feel. A stroke of genius if I do say so myself.

Sup /biz/,

Serious question here
Is this a great way to make reliable money? If not then please explain why.
>Take a loan for an apartment
>Buy the apartment
>Rent it out
>Slowly pay back loan from rent money
>After loan is fully paid, start earning $$$ for basically no effort
>Repeat until rich

Looking for serious answer, what is the flaw here?

What happens when interest rates are high and what happens when they're low /biz/?

I got asked this in a consulting interview earlier today (one of the big boys) and it absolutely stumped me at how open ended it was. I mumbled some stuff about consumer spending but had shit all else.

Ask yourself, would you prefer taking out a loan at a higher or lower interest rate? Now, apply that rationale to society as a whole.
