I have 450,000.
I'm 27 and have been arrested, kicked out of military, and am completely untrained, unskilled, and lost in life.

I do not really have enough to retire comfortably, but I do not want to risk my nest egg in a franchise.

I have a useless AA degree in business, do you think trying to get my CPA license this late in life is a good idea?

Im applying to trade unions, but I think I need a backup plan (misdemeanor is alcohol related no one was hurt, military kick out is not related and non re-enterable-non criminal).

I dont want to work for less than $20 an hour...
Most part time jobs, just arnt worth the effort.
I want to travel around third world countries and fuck foreign women, but I am open to going back to college for a serious degree (only a degree with a good license CPA, RN, etc. no foreigners could steal my job).

Maybe get a large loan on a multi-family building or trailer park?

What should I know about putting my money into bonds?
What do you think about the idea of buying bonds in the USA(they have a lot of debt so I think they will pay good for my bonds) or Iceland(they have a lot of growth right now)?

New to investing. What is the recommended time for me to hold onto shares before selling? I understand that its probably different depending on whether its doing good or not but was wondering if there any general rules.

Bonus question: Any good ETF brokerages outside the U.S? Talking low as fuck commission.

So I don't have a paypal account, but I want to buy something that requires a paypal account. So I bought the My Cash Card (as a way to avoid making one) and it turns out you need to make a verified account (meaning you have to give your social security number that I do not want to give out) Is there any other solution to use the money? Can anyone help?

However, if you take 100 individuals who start even at the age of 25, do you have any idea what will happen to those men and women by the time they’re 65? These 100 people believe they’re going to be successful. They are eager toward life, there is a certain sparkle in their eye, an erectness to their carriage, and life seems like a pretty interesting adventure to them.

But by the time they’re 65, only one will be rich, four will be financially independent, five will still be working, and 54 will be broke and depending on others for life’s necessities.

Only five out of 100 make the grade!

Why do you ask, lets take a look at an example.

Think of a ship with the complete voyage mapped out and planned. The captain and crew know exactly where the ship is going and how long it will take and it has a definite goal. And 9,999 times out of 10,000, it will get there.

Now let’s take another ship and just like the first and only let’s not put a crew on it, or a captain at the helm. Let’s give it no aiming point, no goal, and no destination. We just start the engines and let it go. I think you’ll agree that if it gets out of the harbor at all, it will either sink or wind up on some deserted beach and a derelict. It can’t go anyplace because it has no destination and no guidance.

It’s the same with a human being.

Now, the age old question... What do rich people say/do/think?

I just realized that i spend a large portion of my income on consumables

I have a minimum wage job and live in a cheap apartment, so my money goes to:
rent
utilities
car insurance
health insurance
food
gas
smokes
and leaves me with very little to save which i usually spend on going out or games / small collectibles.

Is this a kind of modern "trap" designed to keep people poor, or am I just wasting money for no reason, how can i escape this?

Obviously i need to save more money but its difficult to save when you make not a lot and most of it goes towards things that will be recurring costs. Food, rent, smokes, bills, gasoline, even toilet paper can't be re-used.

Hell even my computer chair's armrests are broken right now, it didn't even last me two years.

And then in TV, movies, games etc they seem to encourage buying more consumables, there's even a character in Dota 2 who has a line when you buy consumables, "One use is all i'll need!" but its never just one use...

So I was going to propose to my girlfriend, but shit hit the fan before it happened.

We're done for good, but I still have this dumb ring sitting around. What's the best route for selling it? I figured I just take it back to Robbins Bros., but I don't want to get literally jewed out of some money.
