AIRLANDER 50 will be the big brother for the AIRLANDER 10 and will carry over 50 tonnes of cargo with a cargo bay volume in excess of 500 cubic metres. Much of the technology in the two aircraft is the same. The AIRLANDER 50 is designed specifically for the Cargo or Heavy Lift market and offers a lower haulage cost per tonne-km than other aircraft or bush or ice roads. It can also travel point-to-point without the need for any airport infrastructure so is ideal for remote access and logistics for sectors such as mining, oil & gas and humanitarian relief.
The Airlander 10 is Hybrid Air Vehicles' current product with its own market but the Airlander 50 is in development and will be commercially deliverable in the early 2020s.
Envelope: Helium filled, laminated fabric construction hull. The hull’s aerodynamic shape, provides up to 40% of the vehicle’s lift.
Landing System: Profiled pneumatic tubes on the underside of the two outer hulls are configured to provide a ‘hovercraft’ like plenum allowing for ground manoeuvring over all types of ground and water. The system provides a unique capability to reverse its flow and ‘suck itself down’ to the ground aiding stability during freight handling. The system can fully retract in flight for reduced drag / improved fuel efficiency.
Power Plant: 4 x 2,350 hp, turbine engines. Two engines mounted forward on the hull and two on the stern of the hull for cruise operation.
Main cabin (forward): Accommodation space for up to 50 passengers
Main cabin (aft): Freight bay capable of carrying up to 6 ISO containers at a time.

Hey /biz/. Do you have any advice for someone with a CS degree who didn't care very much in school(barely passed with a 2.1 GPA), didn't care very much about work (no work experience prior to graduating), and after over a year of looking for work, finally landed a job that's currently paying 50k/yr. It sounded amazing while I was desperately looking for work, but after having a couple of years under my belt, I was hoping to break into that 80k/yr range at a different job.
My current work is more or less a dead end job. There are people there who's been there for 10+ years and doing what I was taught to do the few weeks, and I doubt they're making that much more money than I am.
If I could go back, I would and do it all over again, but unfortunately, this is where I find myself in life at the moment. Does anybody currently in the field have any advice on how to land one of those better paying CS jobs? I want to move into 6 figures eventually, but I imagine that's a few more years down the line.

I didn't really give a shit in my first year and it was felt, I plan on studying at least 1 hour every day extra aside from classes, and taking an year internship before my final year.
If you have any advice, what you would have done instead of what you did.
I wish I could help somehow, I say just lie saying that you have the requirements that the better paid positions ask for. At the end of the everything is a meme that you can learn in the first few weeks if someone shows you around, as long as you are not a pilot.

I'm planning on asking my boss for a raise tomorrow morning and wanted your opinions/thoughts.
Background is I'm a young college student who works part time at the nicest (and most profitable) hotel in town. I was initially hired almost one year ago as a Front Desk Agent, but moved to Night Audit six months later. I started at $10 and that hasn't changed despite not only learning more and taking on more responsibilities, but also working graveyard shift. I only work Fri and Sat, but those are by far the busiest nights here (we're in the heart of downtown). I constantly deal with drunks, sometimes hostile ones.
My boss and I usually chit chat in the morning before I take off. She's to the point, so I'm assuming this would be the best time as it's quiet and we don't see each other otherwise.
I'm thinking of saying "I'd like to talk about my salary." We've talked about how my one year with the company is coming up before. And if need be, I'll mention that I've proven myself to be reliable and have taken on a lot more responsibility than when I was initially hired. I know how to do two positions and move according to what's needed. I'm the only one here at night and have developed problem-solving skills because of it. E.g. I've picked up valet, cleaning the lobby and back office, and have even dealt with the police because a fight and subsequently cleaned blood off the elevator floor and walls. I've also covered for the full time night audit countless times because he's routinely under the weather.
I know no one else in the front desk staff has agreed to come in more than I have, and my boss often praises me for not having to repeat herself (she vents about new employees occasionally because we have a high turnover rate)
I'm sort of rambling here but I figured I'd give you all a clear picture of my situation.

If she just says yes to the initial raise you should be fine. If you cant get a raise because the company literally cant give you more money for some strange reason, bargain for something else, like work hours, holiday/vacation time, schedules, whatever. But if they cant give you a raise, go apply to other jobs.

Hello, I have no clue what the fuck I'm doing.
I have no debt, which is good. I have a degree in Economics from the best public school in my state, 3.6 GPA. Coupled with being a white male, I'm about as "average" as you can get.
I have a 1-year internship under my belt as a Business Intelligence Intern at a health insurance company. They offered me a job, but I turned it down because I found the job depressing.
3 months later, I feel like a moron for not accepting since I can't find anything else, and realize it wasn't really that bad desu.
What should I be looking for? "Business Analyst"/similar keywords? Or should I look into entry-level positions that are completely seperate? Would appreciate some advice.
