I have the opportunity to attend the shittiest university or the best college in my state. The best college has agreements with a lot of the best universities here, so it's easy to transfer, but the university has no agreements with better universities.
Have any of you went to college before transferring to university? Do you have any advice on it?
I want to study computer science but I didn't get in because I finished my high school too late, so now instead of waiting I want to go and do something so I'm not wasting my time any more. My option is to attend college, for a certificate in Justice and then transfer into one of the better universities in my state. Or I could waste another year at home and maybe get kicked out.
Thoughts? Please help.

Don't go to college, go to community college and transfer. You'd have to be a chump to spend the extra thousands to learn you generals. But I'm sure it's your parents money and you want the "college experience".

I'm in Canada, so the college is a community college, each city near me (GTA) has its own college.
Yeah my parents have a bit of money but it's not an infinite resource unfortunately
I don't care about the experience I just want a job and an apartment and a nice car out of life.

Take the community college route. I did and saved at least $15k. Now I'm at a somewhat prestigious out of state university.

I just found out my family has been receiving over $250/month in food stamps, whenever I found out, I instantly burst into treats. I knew my parents were poor, but I didn't realize how poor they were. It really put things into perspective to me. I just want to crawl into a ball and die. Any other government assistance bros here?

And no. They are not trustworthy. They will not give you a refund if their product fails to function as ordered, nor will most do any sort of work to stand up to a background check.

How does monetizing subtitles work on youtube?
I'd like to make non-english subtitles for reviewers or let's players on youtube.
This is how I imagine it: I contact the youtuber, he responds, make a deal, send him the subtitles, he adds it to the video and that would generate money.
Now this is a perfect scenario and I realize it's not gonna be that easy, so how do I actually approach things?

Ethics time again!
I run a small business,
Almost every aspect, and every idea I have to improve the business is denied by the owner, either the cash is a problem or one of the other 20 excuses, I feel as if he doesn't care for the business; it is just there to pay the rent.
After some maths I realise I can afford to start one in the same field, about 500mtrs from his and my improvements will carry it through the clouds.
Would doing so be unethical?

I'm 28 years old. I take home ~$4,500 a month driving a tractor trailer and have been driving since I was 22. Besides food and shit, I really have no expenses besides my cell phone bill, Netflix, Spotify.
What should I do from now on? I really like my job and enjoy to travel. I get to go to Zoos and Museums on my day off. I like stopping at flea markets and stuff. I really like the company I work for and hope to become a Driver Manager or Safety Coordinator one day where I can work at the terminal and be home every night. Until then, I have no motivation to buy a home or rent a place. I go home for 2-3 days maybe once or twice a month, and just crash on the couch at my Dad's or Grandma's home.
I have almost ~$150K in savings, most of it in a Money Market, some in CDs, and about $1,400 split between my checking and savings accounts. I have ~$42K in my 401K, which I started putting money into about 3 years ago. Should I begin investing in the markets?
