Ok, thanks. Someone at work told me about it and when I saw >motivational speaker I immediately became skeptical.

He's a confirmed charlatan. Doesn't mean he has nothing of value to offer (making money through deceit is still making money) but you're unlikely to absorb any through his shitty books.
So everyone always saying, let your money work for you.
But in reality how much money does one need so that it can "work" for you.
>>1501165
One cent.
>>1501165
Make your mouth work for you
>>1501165
Well a good pair of kneepads will only set you back about $20, so $20 and your money should be able to work for you.
How can one remove themselves from a monetary society while still existing in it? More so than off-grid living and growing your own food?

Barter
Not good at selling things... I'm a nurse by trade, you suggesting bartering the placement of bandaids?
You can't aside from moving to some wilderness and becoming a hunter-gatherer outlaw.
What you can do is exploit systemic loopholes to minimize the system's impact on you personally, but that requires as much effort as rising in the system.
Hypothetical situation. The bubble of all bubbles that everyone seems to be talking about in our Financial system finally pops tommorow, whether it be the stock market crashing or bond market etc. What do you buy right now to hedge against this situation.
Bonus points for an explanation.
Hedging means minimizing risk in anticipation of
I would just buy everything as it's all on sale
>>1501152
yeah what about if the whole thing comes tumbling down? then what do you hedge with. Bitcoin, gold, bullets? What can I buy right now to diversify for the coming hypothetical happening
>>1501190
If the whole thing comes down there won't be any hedging.
How much does the Obama Administration and their 8 years of regulation placements on the economy impact the stockpiling of cash?
pic related, Apple's balance sheet.
Also, do you guys think we should deregulate in order to stimulate the economy? or just simply rely on the notoriously inefficient federal reserve?

Does /biz/ approve of the traditional way of doing things?
whatever gets you laid bro.. just watch out for alimony
>>1501107
>A wife is for sealing deals and alliances and building your dynasty
No, that's what a business partner is for.
>A mistress is there for love and romance
No, that's what a waifu is for.
>A girlfriend is there to fuck
No, that's what an onahole is for.
Women should generally be avoided.
how is this the "traditional way" for anywhere on earth at anytime?
whats the limit for refunds before amazon shuts down your account? you say the item was lost in transit and they issue you a refund. its worked before. I think the limit is around $500.
I hope they never do because I love the free shit

They use an algorithm. If they are losing money by having you as a customer, or see patterns, they'll ban you

If you try trading forex without knowing what you're doing, you can get terribly burned. That said, it can make you very rich as well. Both losses and gains are amplified because of leverage
Why is it that the two most insufferable classes are the upper-middle class & underclass?
On the personal and collective levels they tend to be awful people
Is there a reason?
>>1500999
>Why is it that the two most insufferable classes are the upper-middle class & underclass?
Mediocrity, dunning kruger's syndrome.
The poor are too dumb to see why they're dumb and the upper-middle class think they're geniuses, again incapable of seeing why their thinking is flawed and why they stagnate there.

What did he mean by this?
> "I'm so bad with names"
If I hear this phrase again I'm pulling out a katana and cutting the person's head off with one chop.
maybe they have aphasia
I can't remember names or birthdays well at all, mostly because 99% of people I meet will never be important in my life.
I had to hang out with the same group of 6 people everyday for a year until I could list all their names off the top of my head.
Why aren't you renting your property out as section 8 housing? Afraid of being rich?
Because when you go to the first orientation they will tell you a bunch of bullshit about how you can't have any paint chips anywhere on your rental, it has to smell of lavender inside for over 7 weeks, the bathroom must have three separate space heaters, if there is any mahogany in the structure it must be rebuilt. etc, etc.
That's why I'm not doing it.
I'm a landlord, not a zookeeper
I used to rent my house out to HUD when I first got into investing, because muh guaranteed checks from the government. It was the worst decision I ever made. These poor animals destroy everything. In the 9 months I let some woman and her 3 kids live there, I had to replace the dishwasher twice, all of the carpet in every room was ruined beyond repair, one of them took knives and threw everywhere in the walls and doors. I had to spend thousands on replacing/fixing the drywall and replacing the door. There was a roof leak that they never mentioned and I had to spend another few thousand fixing that. They never mowed the grass so the city would and I got billed for it. It was terrible. Let those niggers stay in their Section 8 apartment complexes.
How does one prepare for a bubble bursting?
You'd start by figuring out what the bubble actually is, what industry its in, why its growing, etc
Study the factors that led to big bubbles crashing in the past and look for those same factors now
Save a bunch of money, don't have any debts, prepare to take part in industries that will rise in the event of a bubble pop.

By getting the Dip bowl ready
What would happen if:
>social programs were drastically cut, if not eliminated all together
>taxes across all brackets were cut, especially among big businesses
>size of government was significantly reduced
>minimum wage was raised to at least $12/hr
This would incentivize people to get off social programs and work, would it not?
Please correct me if my way of thinking is retarded
>>1500938
>This would incentivize people to get off social programs and work, would it not?
What if they can't work?
crime would go up because some dindus dont wanna work, they just want handouts. but also means more people would be forced to work who arent dindus
>>1500939
Le gas chambers ;)
Unless I'm vastly underestimating how much social security costs for people who can't work that shouldn't be a big deal, although I'm sure that's the deal breaker for my theory
