The obvious answer is Bitcoin, if you know the fundamentals and the potential of growth.

But I presume you want a comfy grandpa tier answer like "real state" or some memestock.

Buy 200,000 knee pads for 10 dollars each.

Supply said knee pads to 200,000 people.

Instruct them to suck 40 million Dicks for a dollar, and take 50% off the top.
>>
>>1546501
Alright OP this is complicated, so strap in
1) Move to Vegas
2) Buy large quantities of Kneepads
3) Rent a small shop in a relatively bad area
4) Hire on a bunch of Gaybois and supply them with said Kneepads.
5) charge $55a blowie
6) Pay your employees $5 a blowie in a lump sum at the end of the week
7)???
8) Profit
Hm, guess it wasn't that complicated. Have fun, faggot!

So little information but my sister has my mother working for her taking care of her kids and cleaning around the house.

The problem is that my mother who is in her 60's and has numerous head operations has some memory issues and my sister constantly takes advantage of this by not paying her.

The other problem is that she convinced my mom not to file for her taxes anymore so there's no way to prove she's working for her.

Is there anyway I can resolve this issue? I tried speaking to my sister but she continues to ignore me.

People are less likely to tell you now that they know the SEC has successfully convicted people for crypto P&D fraud.

So I have an idea about creating a website concept. But i don't know anything about coding and I don't want this idea stolen.

wtf do i do? How do I develop this website? Is there a way to protect the concept?
16 posts and 5 images submitted.
>>
>>1546400
I concept is just that, it's not the actual project.

Just mock up the major function pages in photoshop and write a proposal (I assume you're trying to get investors?)

If you're worried about someone stealing your idea get people whom you show to sign a NDA, though likely no one will steal your shit idea.
>>
>>1546400
Get a lawyer and stuff is the simple solution.
Ideas are a commodity, execution is not. Keep that in mind.

You don't need to code, at all; You use a flow of logic that when people visually look at, they can understand what you want to do and you can delegate tasks, and get someone to automate things for you.
With protecting the content, do you mean the content, or the site? Get into what you would be securing; the idea, the site concept itself, the user's data and I can be more useful.
>>
>>1546400
First of all, as with any project, you need a contract. That is good business practice.

If you hire someone to build your website have a contract made of your terms of material usage and provide your developer on agreement to use this material in creating your site. Of course this material is legaly yours and as such you can copyright this material easily assuming you are in the USA. USPTO.gov go there and do that.

You also have to give your developer, or designer or perhaps your everyman, the room to breath. If they are experienced they will know exactly what they are doing when it comes to presentation of a site. And yes front end development is just as important as the back end. If you don't know any of this jargon don't beat yourself up, you can easily google this.

I am a web developer/designer. Most provided materials are things like, logos, names of staff (bios) business location and so on. Other materials are pictures of products, store fronts and so on. From there I create the layout based on the type of business (allot of local businesses) and then do a few mock ups and report back, some times I get my head chewed off by stingy people who want black font on a silver background, sometimes I can get good people who know that I know what I am doing. What ever your need is, always research and know that a contract is a legal agreement to protect both parties.

>tfw thinking about dropping out of college for the second time

I've been here for little over a month and i have a hard time grasping what it's all about (studying web dev) and I'm considering dropping out.

I already dropped out last year after six months of journalism school.

I don't actually know what I like, or what I really want to work with. Sure, I would *like* to be a web dev but it's apparently way too hard for me to learn.

IF i drop out, I might just try to become an independent film maker. Not because I expect profits, but because I want to look busy.

Can I actually do besides kill myself? Don't tell me to become a wagecuck because that's the same thing.

I work as a sales person and Gamestop. The regional manager was around last week, and I overheard him ranting that pre orders are tanking all across the country, and that they're gonna miss their projection.

I hate Gamestop and would love nothing more than to profit off their demise. If I short their stock is there any way I could get screwed for this? I work for them, but I'm a bottom feeder employee and could easily deny knowing anything about the company's internals.

How should I plat this.

P.S Short Gamestop, bros.

Does anyone else not respect him? He's an upper class rich kid whose parents connections made him his early fortune. Then he has crafted a cult around himself by opening companies, letting smart people run them, and taking all the credit. When they inevitably crash, he gets a legacy as the genius of this era who was just so ahead of his time, but really all he did was use daddys connections to buy credibility.

How are meetings in your place of work?

Mine are fucking intolerable and I don't know how to fix it.

>today
>meeting about using an industry research subscription/site
>spend an hour having a rep go through every page and give a speech on each one
>literally shit any sane person could figure out on their own in 5 minutes
>rep hangs up
>boss goes on a ~7 minute spiel about the login
>literally all he had to say was "I'll send you the log-in information later today"
>instead talks wastes the next 6 minutes and 50 seconds saying how he has to train a different department about the site, which has no impact on us
>weekly department meeting where we go through all our assignments
>literally can just say, it's done or it's in progress, or it's pending info
>people go on huge rants and backstories
>we literally have over 200 assignments
>meeting that took 30 minutes when I joined 5 years ago when the department was a third of its size now takes 2+ hours

Shakespeare said brevity was the soul of wit. How do I communicate this to co-workers without sounding like a dick?

Just be assertive and voice your opinion. If you're a respected member of the company people will listen and take to heart what you say. Some collateral damage may have to be accepted, but I'm sure others will appreciate your input.
>>
Fixing this sort of thing is nearly impossible without hurting someone's feefees. It's a bad situation and I don't really have any advice, unless you suspect the person with the power to change the meeting structure is already sympathetic to you and just needs a push to fix it.

I have a 2hr meeting like this every other Tuesday and it is pure agony.
>>
>>1546216
Don't tell them, show them. If you're so confident brevity is better, present your end of the conversation confidently and accurately. When they are gushing, tell them hoe it could benefit everyone involved to be more concise.

Just don't assert yourself off a cliff.

My meetings are honestly realistic and to the point. We go over pertinent numbers, talk briefly about the goal of the company, have lunch and we're out. The only part of a meeting our management harps on about is flaws in our documentation (work orders, invoices to clients that are literally legal trend reports and/or statements, so they have to be thorough. No room for interpretation), but that's reasonable considering how important it is in my industry to be correct in action in accordance with enforceable laws. On paper, at least.

What are the /biz/ rules for buying a new car?

>taurus keeps breaking down, easily spend the $3k I bought it for on repairs each year
>after serpentine belt snaps twice in a year decide it's time to trade it in
>make $40k per year, $2k debt, no savings besides for my Roth which I don't want to draw from

I'm thinking I might want to just lease a car, get a payment under $200 and call it a day. In 2/3 years once the lease is over I'll be making $55-60k if not more and I can afford to buy something with cash. Thoughts?
39 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
You could do that or buy a used car but make sure it's reliable and reasonable
>>
Don't take on unnecessary liabilities. If you can afford it, you pay for it with cash. Otherwise, you buy a cheaper car, or rent one.

If you need to take a loan, put at least 20% down because that's about how much your car will appreciate in its first year.

Lease is fine if you can keep your costs low, but the longer you ride the lease, the less cost saving it becomes.

Next time, don't buy a used ford taurus.
