You are supposed to tip everyone and everything on your way to pick up the food. You don't tip the people at the food place.

Amazing. Nocoiners need to be incinerated. The fact that this thread has 0 posts further proves why bitcoiner masterrace is 10000 steps ahead and will make it. Low IQ mongs that keep ignoring Bitcoin will pay with their lives in suicide format.

If I had known about bitcoin in 2010 then i would have been a billionaire and saved my friends' lifes.
Now I'm an just an autist contemplating suicide.
In all reality I'd still suicide even with all that money, but I'd be much happier doing it after I've lived in 2 years what I haven't lived in 20.

Hey all,
How important do you think your final school grade is? e.g. your GPA, Atar percentile etc?
I feel like I'm only going to do moderately well and wonder how much influence this could have on job prospects in the short/medium term (hoping to get into law).
>>1546742
Getting into a top tier (and even mid tier) law school requires a respectable GPA along with a top LSAT score. During law school, most top firms only look at students at or near the top of the class.
networking is also very important

Alright famalam, I realize that the only real way to make any sort of significant amount of money as a poorfag is from growing some balls and working the market. I want to get into day trading. I feel like I am moderately smart, at least in maths(I got good grades in AP calc junior year of HS, and am getting good grades in AP calc BC as a senior, 18 tho famalam). I understand college, for the most part, is a complete meme, unless you are doing business related shit. I am enlisting in the Army as soon as I graduate just because before I get out into the real world I want to have some fun, take a few years to shoot guns and workout, but I also want to use it as time to prepare. I need books. I need good, non meme books on the market, and on how to make money through business or the market. Now that you know my situation, I don't want to waste money on college if I can learn this shit from books. So, /biz/ wanna help a nigga out with some good market/business book recs?
pic semi-unrelated, but a /biz/ type list like this /lit/ meme would be well appreciated.

Maybe read Flash Boys first to see how much the cards are stacked against you as a day trader.
It is a harsh reality but chances are you will not get rich day trading. Stock markets are a zero sum game and if you win someone else has to lose. With that being said there are millions of participants that are very knowledgable and some that do not play by the rules.
The stock market should be used to supplement your income, not be the main source of it.

Thanks senpai, any other reads about maybe business or real estate even? I know that the market is a big chance, my plan is more to still spend a lot of time on stocks, but also focus on business/real estate/ etc. I really have a bad view of real estate though, because my Dad(a realtor) really buys into the entire "real estate is the best investment" meme, and the entire real estate crowd is full of normalfags that consume seminars and self-help books written by even normalfaggier normalfags.

All of my knowledge about stocks and whatnot comes from lurking /biz/ for a few days.
Let's say that a stock costs 1 dollar and I buy 1 million of them, then the next day the stock goes upto 2 dollars and I sell them all. So that's it? I made a million dollars in profit? Is it really this simple? I'm definitely missing something here, right? Surely the real world is much more complicated than this?
Also, I want to learn all about finance, stocks, investing, etc. but since this board's sticky doesn't really have any learning resources can someone please recommend books, sites or ways to learn from and guide me in the right direction?
>>1546621
No, that's it.
But here's the best part, you don't even have to take any responsibility for it. You see, if you give me the $1 million, and I invest it into a stock that turns to $3 instead of $2, you'll make 2 million in profit.
So send me a million and we can get this started.
>>1546633
I'll need the money for the wire transfer which will be 5k.

Except the stock isn't going to jump 100% in the next day.
How do I, a 22 year old Australian male, get into trading and the stock market when I've little to no knowledge about these things.
Currently trying to research brokers and such, also seeing robinhood is coming to Aus, does anyone know when it's due to hit?

Let me throw out a money making scheme. For the sake of the thread, let's just say the whole thing is hypothetical, so we don't have to deal with the realism aspect of this plan.
First, you need 25k in order to day trade. Then you find a volatile stock that's around 200 dollars and you throw all 25k at it, so you have 125 shares. Every day, you wait until you feel it's at a high point, sell all your stock, wait for it to sink 1 dollar, then buy back your stock back. I'm setting the bar at 1 dollar since it should be pretty easy to find a swing of 1 dollar. (Again, hypothetical.) A couple days later, you can afford 126 shares. Eventually, you'll be able to up the number of shares bought every day.
I've done the math, and if you do this every day, you will be able to double your money every year. At the end of 10 years, you'll be a multi-milllionaire.
The practical complications are obvious: not being able to do this every day, having to buy/sell a high amount of stock can be nerve wrecking, something going horribly wrong with the stock price, etc. But in the hypothetical world, is there anything about this plan that doesn't work?
On paper it's good. But,
What happens if your stock goes down and down and down? Will u be diligent and ballsy to hope it'll recover?
Threads like this remind my why 4chan shutting down is a good thing
>>1546644
Yes, basically. Any other issues with this plan?
I ask because I decided to try this out, starting this week. I've made three trades so far, gaining $1.10, $1.30 and $2.10 each trade. I'm still sub-25k, so that's all I have for this week. I wanted to know what roadblocks I can anticipate having if I continue to do this.
I actually have 2 accounts, one where I do this and one where I don't. The gain% between the two accounts is widening at a pretty surprising rate.
There's a career fair tomorrow. Anyone want to help out and look over this résumé for me? This was done over the course of a few visits to the career development center, and this is the final product. Seems pretty good I guess, but a second opinion won't hurt.
Yeah if have a résumé you can post it here too, if you don't know the drill.
Mechanical engineer here too. Here are some things to fix:
>don't use bullet points if you don't have ore than one bullet to list. So try to make another bullet point under rasc-Al.
>Use power verbs to start your bullets. Google power verbs to see what I mean.
>Your skill section is lacking. No need to write so much on skills you know. Just list them.
I'll upload my resume too.
>>1546598
>This was done over the course of a few visits to the career development center
Listen, I don't do this for a living, but it seems like no matter where you go for advice on this sort of thing they always give you the same old tired resume format.
It is the basic bitch of resumes. Yes, it's got all the information, organized, etc. But if you mixed yours up with a bunch of other engineering students and dropped them all on the floor you couldn't pick yours out without bending over to read the names. That's not a good thing; it doesn't stand out to employers and it makes it easy for them to write you off.
If I were you I'd look around online and try out a format that looks aesthetically pleasing. You're not a graphic designer so you don't want to pick one that's over the top. But mixing it up a little isn't going to hurt you even in the eyes of stodgy engineering firms.
The least you could do is pick a different font. Jesus, fuck Times, man.
