Anyone going to mine or buy zcash when it comes out?
I am aware of the broken trust system they set up ( https://blog.okturtles.com/2016/03/the-zcash-catch/ ) and don't really believe the coin will be a long term success (monero already does what zcash is supposed to and was implemented by the relevant markets first), but all the silicon valley hype around it will assuredly provide an opportunity to make some money.
One interesting aspect about the coin is that its hashing algorithm is memory-hard, which should mean that you could mine it anywhere (cheap ARM) provided you have a certain amount of memory. I have $200 in aws promo credits, does anyone with more technical experience know what the optimal way to spend them would be, given the algo specifications ( https://forum.z.cash/t/final-zcash-mining-specifications/355 )? Reward peaks after 30 days so theres plenty of time to prepare.
I recently bought a contract with genesis-mining for about 2BTC.
It is currently valued at $87 a piece. I am not sure how succesful it will be though.
When can we start mining? On 28th or before?

no premine also slow start, reward starts at 0, check the specifications

Easier for niggers to collect a welfare check than to actually work at McDonadls for a living.
Its funny cuz niggers think that handouts & welfare is more "dignified" than entry level work.
>>1550412
What welfare are you always talking about?
Unemployed get little but (degrading) foodstamps and resent in the USA. If you think being unemployed is fun, you are free to become so anytime.

Should I spend my $1000 of NEETbux to pay for a advert, to keep 4chan in business? Want to help this website considering how much time I'm on it, and think it would be quite funny as well. This is the ad I was thinking of using.
Do it

All boards or just biz/r9k? I want to dispel the common myth NEETs are barely able to survive.

All, spend as much money as you can
So, I cant find any decent work...
Im 27, and I work as a bookkeeper for $20 an hour. I have worked in IT, and I never graduated 4 year college only 2 year.
I am planning on moving out of the Bay Area and into a cheaper place like Seattle, Portland or Tennessee, Dakotas..
I want to go back to 4 year school, and do the minimum to sit for CPA exam, while I buy cheap duplexes/single family houses, and rent them out.
I have a DUI so I will never be employable at a decent company until I get CPA credential.
Should I just consider saying fuck the us, and move to OZ... I have a a relative there I can live with temporarily, and I will have a clean record in there country for employment. I would love to work for McDonalds, and someday own my own franchise, but ive heard it's expensive.
What should I do, too many options, but all of them are risky and expensive.
>>1550161
>DUI
congratz OP you fucked yourself
Couldn't get it removed?
DUI's are misdemeanors... They last 10 years on your record.
>>1550170
could as much be as a death sentence though, it's the equivalent of the letter A scarlet or w/e
The rent out houses meme is reminescent of 2006. Holy shit that was 10 years ago.
For MC franchise you need to work as a manager for 6 months iirc.
Sounds like you have no clue what you want to do with your life.
>going to my wagie job
>work part time for 6 hours 3 days a week but my week consists of days ruined by work or days dreading the upcoming work days
>do a job that some silicon valley 19 year old should've automated by now (they're too busy with the college fuckfest)
>am a retailcuck
>did a stem degree and I'm smart but lazy
>see lots of Staceys and Chads
>sometimes get seen by people I went to school with and yhey probably laugh at me and think lol shouldn't he be successful
>was laughed at by girls younger than me who knew my name ("Hey look it's Anon") and I didn't even know who they were
>manager realised I've been taking 40 minute breaks instead of 15 and subtly told me to cut it out
If you don't work full time you're not a "wagie"
>>1549963
That's why I'm a NEET trying to make money online
Do you have a question or you just telling your story?
>>1549976
I have no questions. I think the pump and dump of bitcoins on this board is going to be the pinnacle of biz. Everything else is dumb investment nonsense. I mean like when you accidentally find youself on that weird bit of youtube offering forex trading tips and penny stock nonsense. That sums up a lot of biz, though I do like you guys, except that guy who spams "try r9k".
>2-cent stock halfed in value

It can only go upwards after that, bro.

What if it goes to 0.5 cents?

What if they go bankrupt and it goes to zero?
Don't often see pensions discussed on here and I could really use advice.
I'm quite lucky to have a final salary(well, career average) type pension that also grows with inflation. I've estimated that if I retire early at 55 and take the huge 40% pension penalty that comes with that, I'd have an income of around £15,000 per year until I die. That's assuming no promotions, so it would probably be a bit more. 15 grand doesn't seem like enough so I'd like another source of income, perhaps another private pension or investment or something.
What are my best options to save for an early retirement? A second pension? Stocks? Property? I have quite a bit of spare money each month and I'm willing to take some risks.
Also, how are you all preparing for retirement?
I've got most of my money in real estate. That's the classic model for mailbox money, but only if you do it correctly.
Look on biggerpockets.com for details.
Anyone else feel like sharing how they plan to finance their retirement?
>>1549794
I would cash out your pension as soon as humanly possibly.
>pumps once
>constant decline ever since
>now oasis exit scam happens
How can bagholders STILL be in so much denial about xmr?
I mean, they could have been making lots of money shorting it for the entire last month. Yet everyone keeps on holding their ever less valuable bags, constantly deluding themselves that 'it has hit a bottom' and 'is gonna do a reversal now'. Even after one of the two markets responsible for the initial pump fucking exit scams.
I don't get it. Is it some kind of mental disease?
>>1549734
All coins here are only good for PnD did you all just figure this out?
>>1549734
You are looking for smart people here. You should just open a margin short and look for idiots then shill the shit out of the "reversal" and post your gains when it hits .007

/biz/ I'm a first year student at UB double majoring in aerospace and mechanical engineering. I'm failing calculus 1 hard, with about a 50 average.
Would it be smart to switch to accounting and computer science? I don't really have in interest in engineering other than the salary and the title.
>I don't really have in interest in engineering other than the salary and the title.
That's why you failed.
>>1549724
You're right, only took this because I was in advanced math and science classes in high school, and my teachers and parents told me to go this route
