Is gold the only way to safely secure value for long periods of time despite what markets and currencies are doing? I want to prepare for a future where I don't have to play markets all the time if I don't want to.

Short answer: no.

The value of gold fluctuates constantly.

I was considering accounting but every CPA I see on LinkedIn are attractive human beings and I'm ugly as fuck.

I would love to become a loan officer or something at a bank but they're all women.

I'm only really good at math and science but terrible with communication.

Should I just get my CDL or something and be a delivery driver?

I'm a fat ass and only lasted 2 months in a warehouse. I thought of nursing as well but flunked A&P last semester.

I've tried to start heaps of shit to work for myself and live the life: online shops, betting tipster, blogs etc. and failed at all of them. But I think I might be on to something this time.

I live in a small country area and run a news fb page for it. 6,000 likes which is a lot for the size of the area. I'm starting an online newsletter, so will hopefully have a fraction of my fans read it.

Will I be able to poach businesses and make a decent profit from advertising them in my newsletter ?

Hello /biz/
In short, I dropped out of my shitty college and need to get out of my parent's house as soon as possible.
My country's general living costs are pretty low, with 500 a month I can support myself and even at 300 I can rent and move out.
I am focused and dedicated, I have to make it.
I've got a few good business plans to run with but I need the above to sustain myself while they aren't finished.
/biz/ I trust you more than the shills at /r/entrepreneur and blackhat world.
I am here to ask your opinion/advice on what I should do to get that 300/month online (better if it's scalable).
I have experience in graphic design, writing and website building, also trilingual.
What do you guys think about an amazon affiliate website for example? Is it just a meme?
You guys have always been there for me over the years, even if this turns into a dick suck for 1$ thread, I want to thank you guys. You're the best.

Hello /biz/

I was hoping you all could give me some advice.

I'm wanting to try and buy things at wholesale and turn around and sell them online. For more obviously.

But I've never done it before.

I thought of buying a lot from an online store like Alibaba and reselling on Amazon.

But my problem with that is it seems too easy to work. I mean, if it were that simple to turn a profit; everyone would do it.

What am I missing? What do you really need to do to make a profit in that type of business?

I think a fair few people on here actually do something like this so I'm sure they could help you.

Got into a big argument about minimum wage with a friend of mine, I'm not sure how I can convince him that it's actually not going to help as many people as he thinks. Or am I wrong?

Basically, my argument was this:
1) A lot of people will get fired because businesses can't afford to keep them on
2) We should abolish the minimum wage to open up more job possibilities at the lower end
3) Inflation will occur and the cost of goods and living will go up if we raise the min wage

He said I was using "media buzzwords" by saying the words "inflation" and the phrase "people will get fired"

And his argument was this:
1) Getting rid of it won't work because unions will form and unions traditionally have sort of fucked things up in America
2) Pure capitalism doesn't work and there should be a minimum wage in place to protect people
3) A wage increase will give people more spending money and that will go into the economy and more money will go into taxes for roads and shit

In the end, I said that companies and workers should decides for themselves what the wage will be and that the market should sort itself out.

He says that if we get rid of it, corporations will abuse people and pay them as little as they can, and that there are "too many variables"...

I'm a fucking horrible debater but I feel strongly about this and I feel bad that I wasn't able to convince him. It just boggles my mind that the same people who protest the government want to give more power to it and encourage regulation.

You are correct anon, keep up the good work.
Read some Sowell, watch some Friedman, learn how to explain well, although, don't be surprised when people still don't understand.

>if we get rid of it, corporations will abuse people and pay them as little as they can

laughed my ass off. ur m8 is blue pill af holmes.
>>
You're wrong.

The negative impact on businesses is negligible. In the end, it's just the bigwigs getting slightly smaller paydays, and it makes a huge difference to poor people.

And if a small business goes bankrupt from spending a $4 more an hour, they weren't going to succeed anyway.

Trickle down economics is an absolute joke, which has been proven wrong, but the opposite (trickle up?) is true. Poor people spend their money, and it will stimulate the economy.

Can someone please explain how to start mining bitcoins/crypto etc? Is it just a case of getting a good computer, running a programme on it and leaving it going 24/7?
7 posts and 2 images submitted.

>>1579263
It's too late to make any real money doing that.

Modern Bitcoin miners use a botnet of infected computers to mine.
>>
Even just as a side biz for a few hundered a month?
>>
>>1579266
Especially.

You'd be spending more money on electricity to run your computer than you'd make mining.

just open up terminal and type

sudo mine bitcoin/[enter your desired hashrate 100-100,000,000 petahash]

and it'll start mining. don't worry if you're hardware isn't that good, just set it to 100,000,000 petahash and you'll be getting hundreds of bitcoin per day.
>>
>>1579237
>hundreds of bitcoins per day

Lol, not even close. I mine on 2 iPads and I only get like 2 bitcoins/day. My luckiest day I made 14 but I was also mining on my phone.
>>
>>1579254
you sure you have it set up for 100,000,000 petahash and not terahash???

maybe it's internet speed dependent, but I get hundreds most days.

the best is to have a gf. I got my gf to do it by explaining to her all the things she could buy with the money.

I'm not sure you could sustain a business faking it cause those perverts would probably know.

Otherwise just ask as many girls as you can. There's a way to sell it to them, just don't try to jew them give them a fair percentage since they're providing value to the commodity.
>>
I dont have a gf so i will just ask more girls and what should i pay? do you think 40% is good?

Can't you just wear them for a day yourself and spray some kind if perfume in them?

Sup familias. What brokers do you guys use?

I've been using TD waterhouse just for ease of funding my broker acct but I'm considering switching to something that doesn't charge me $10 a fucking trade or have a mediocre platform.

Thoughts of Questrade? Seems solid. Qtrade was a secondary consideration, interactive brokers is just for autistics.

I have RBC investing, which I assume is very similar to TD. Also $10 per trade and shit.

I think it's honestly just laziness keeping me from moving to something else. I don't trade enough to make the trade fee significant though.

I'm using TD cause of the fancy new UI but I'm thinking of switching to Qtrade

Auto industry is the worst. Bad credit? Good credit? Doesn't matter. Get a new car for $849 a month at 28% interest! Filed for bankruptcy? Even better. Living off SSI? Not a problem.

Do your research into this industry, it's worse than the Payday loans of the 90s.

We're also seeing mom and pop shops investing into the stock market, which is a sign of troubling times. Student debt is at a all time high. Credit card debt keep rising. We're overdo for a financial cycle.

Yet there is no clear-cut sign of when it will happen, which is the scary part.

if you dont wanna use your real paypal create a new one, they're free and dont require much personal information to be able to transfer money

then whenever you have a sizable amount built up, transfer everything from your fake account to your real one
